Please remove deletion notice from Bill Hutchens

I've added some english sources ( Screen Anarchy, Dread Central, etc.) to reference for his notability. Please check them and remove the deletion notice from the article, Bill Hutchens. Superstars8547 ( talk) 10:23, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

You can continue to improve the article while it's being discussed at AfD, and perhaps the sources you have added and any other improvements you make will lead to a consensus that the article should be kept. -- Marchjuly ( talk) 12:39, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Booth Lusteg

Dear Marchjuly,

This is courtlisa. I'm new to this site & still need to learn much about it, as it seems a little complex. I wanted to respond to others' comments or thank them but don't know how yet.

Anyway I have a copy of Booth Lusteg's passport and license to prove his correct birth date I was advised to post (or) submit an obit, but I don't think I can find that article easily. I have the "plaque" it was made into but can't scan it. Also the obit is expired on Legacy.com.

I still don't see a way to attach my docs yet on this site. I would like to see the correct info on my dad, Booth. boothlustegtribute.com is not biased, it is factual.

Thank you much,

Lisa Lusteg-Bennett — Preceding unsigned comment added by Courtlisa ( talkcontribs) 14:42, 10 October 2019 (UTC)

Hi Courtlisa. I can’t really give any other information than what l’ve already posted on your user talk page and at the Wikipedia Teahouse. There are links to various Wikipedia policy and guideline pages in the posts I and others left for you (they are the words in blue); so, please click on those links and look at that info. It should answer some of your questions. -- Marchjuly ( talk) 15:04, 10 October 2019 (UTC)

Dear Marchjuly ( talk · contribs) if you read the entire article by hindustan times one of the biggest selling news papers in india in below paragraph it's written that the booking was canceled because of gender, and this was confirmed by one of their hotel staff Queenuniverse ( talk)

You should really discuss article content on the relevant article's talk page, but the source cited states that the hotel denied there was any discrimination and the title of the article uses the word "alleges". An employee, not the hotel, says that the booking was canceled for gender reasons; this may be true, but it's not supported by the final paragraph which contains a statement by the hotel's general manager. -- Marchjuly ( talk) 08:20, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the comments on the Woodstock article.

I will take your pointers to heart, I am sorry, I did not know I was screwing up. Thank you for your help and guidance. I am new at Wikipedia but very passionate about Woodstock and the Shenandoah Valley. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Woodrusher ( talkcontribs) 00:29, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

@ Woodrusher: Your attempts at trying to improve the article about Woodstock, Virginia are appreciated, but in the process of doing so you kept making formatting, etc. errors that are going to need to be cleaned up. Please take a look at Talk:Woodstock, Virginia so that you don't keep repeating the same errors over and over again. You seem to be fairly new to editing and nobody is going to expect you to know everything there is to know about Wikipedia's manual of style and other relevant policies and guidelines right from the get go; however, repeating the same errors over and over again is not a good sign and might mean it would be a good idea to slow down a bit. Wikipedia is a collaborative editing project and others have no problem cleaning things up, but you can make things a lot easier if you can properly format, etc. your edits from the start.

question - what is the rule of thumb for external links?

Hi Marhjuly,

I had been including external links because i thought thet would be good for people who wanted to get more linear information on a subject that was referred to. Since you said I am doing that wrong, I thought I would ask when it is appropriate. The Valley Baseball League, for instance, vs. others. Just wondering if there is a guidance point on external links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Woodrusher ( talkcontribs) 00:36, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

You can find out more at Wikipedia:External links, but generally it's OK to add external links to section titled "External links" if they satisfy WP:ELYES or WP:ELMAYBE, but they should not be added if they are one of the things listed in WP:ELNO. Moreover, they shouldn't be embedded into the body of an article per WP:CS#Avoid embedded links and WP:El#cite_note-7.
If you're trying to add a link as a citation, the you should add it as an inline citation; if you're trying to add the link as a WP:WIKILINK, then you should format it as such. Don't embed links like [http://www.example.com this] into the body of the article so that they look like this.
"Valley Baseball League" has a Wikipedia article written about it; so, if you want to provide a link to the reader to that article you can do so like [[Valley Baseball League]] which looks like Valley Baseball League. That's more that sufficient for the reader and if they want to more about the league, they can read the Wikipedia article written about it. If the thing you want to link to doesn't have a Wikipedia article about it, then perhaps it's not something worth mentioning by name but either way you shouldn't embed a link to its website into the article. -- Marchjuly ( talk) 00:49, 31 October 2019 (UTC); [Marchjuly amended post per comment by Hydromania. -- 03:02, 31 October 2019 (UTC)]
( talk page stalker)that should probably read "but they should not be added if they are one of the things listed in WP:ELNO". Hydromania ( talk) 02:04, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
Yes, that's correct. Thanks for catching it. -- Marchjuly ( talk) 03:02, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Update on Libya Wikiproject

Hello, I have completely formatted the Libya Wikiproject. There is only one if not two active members, so hopefully this brings more active members to the page. Here is the formatted page. I got rid of some of the clutter but I still have to change a couple things. /info/en/?search=Wikipedia:WikiProject_Libya Max Pigeon ( talk)
