Hi! In order not to bore you with too many details about my history I'll just give you a TL;DR: I used to be an occasional editor about a decade ago but had a long hiatus and forgot my original username and now I'm back.
I'm mainly interested in maintenance and cleanup work and I was wondering what new tools are out there to make this task easier or what pages to follow. I also don't want to jump in too quickly but would be interested in pages where discussions take place. As for vandalism this will seem as an amateur question but have things changed since 2010? I imagine there's tools out there and improved AbuseFilters that make it much easier to revert.
If anyone could direct me to some of these tools and/or pages that'd be great! Darron4 ( talk) 10:29, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

How are they helpful in those circumstances? When I've seen paywalled articles cited I've sought/created archived versions. Should I also add ISSNs? I'm a new page patroller, and I recently came across a massive glut of new articles from the beginning of August – essentially all the same – which I believe are non-notable. Namely, the articles from Norse group that start with 'S/[year]' were created by one user in an extremely short timespan, all ostensibly created via template with minimal changes between them. There are so many of these that it's not worth my time or anyone else's to hold individual deletion discussions for all of them, so I was wondering if it's possible to have a centralized discussion for deleting or keeping all of them. Greetings: I am an academically trained musicologist, now retired. I am interested in the Ukrainian composer Григорій Ісакович Компанієць (Grigorii Isaakovich Kompaneets). One of his choral works was published in the US, and performed regularly by the Westminster Choir College Chorus for many years. Yet there are no reliable English-language sources that are readily accessible. I would like to begin an English-language page on him (or encourage another experienced contributor to do so). For this, it would be useful to use the existing page in Ukrainian, at least as a template. I would appreciate suggestions about how to proceed. Schiller67 ( talk) 11:41, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

Many thanks to Theroadislong for their prompt and helpful response, particularly for the note "whole sections lack references." I'm trying to figure out what kinds of references would be acceptable.
For the section "Early life," I could photograph book covers and magazines with stories by Eunice Lee Caesar and Mildred Caesar. There's also a print newspaper article about Allan Caesar I should be able to find. Helpful?
For the section "Marriage and family," there is a newspaper article (paper) on the wedding, unfortunately with no date visible. I have my own birth certificate, and could probably find records for my two brothers. I have their baby books, with dates and even times of birth in them.
"Service to state government": quote appears in the image provided.
"Death": date could be substantiated by online sources. Cause of death: I am not sure that I still have the death certificate, but I can look. Obviously, I remember it well, from handling the death details and planning the funeral.
Apart from this, I understand that I need more outside reviews or writings about Gene Caesar's work?
Is this largely correct?
Many thanks again for your help. Caesarc ( talk) 13:54, 13 August 2023 (UTC)

I can't find the rules for the process of proposing deletion of a talk page. The talk page in question is Talk:SAM JOSHI. It's not connected to an article (or it sort of is, but the article doesn't exist) it's just floating out in space. I think the content probably belongs in the userspace of the user who created it. I was going to use {{subst:Proposed deletion|concern=reason for proposed deletion}} but then it said it was only for articles, and this isn't really an article. reinvigorate & rebrand the originaland
rebooted & released to pledge backersis promotional jargon that does not belong in a neutrally written encyclopedia article. And when you write unreferenced stuff like
Players can immerse themselves in the fantasy of original thematic artwork, crafted scatter terrain & detailed meeples [resin miniatures]. The core game system comes with 14 quests & has limitless replayability because players can also build their own [home-brew] quests & adventure campaigns in a continued battle of good versus evil., it is clear that you have not yet developed the skill of writing neutral encyclopedic prose. Marketing garbage like that belongs on company websites, not in an encyclopedia. Instead of trying to write an article to promote a "reboot", why not wrote an article about the original game, that mentions the current update briefly at the very end? That would be an actual encyclopedia article, instead of a promotional brochure masking as an encyclopedia article. Cullen328 ( talk) 08:42, 14 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello, Please I'm a new editor and I created a new article about a Media Entrepreneur doing remarkable work in my country. I'm trying to understand who has a conflict of interest in a particular situation. I apologize in advance for keeping this vague and hypothetical, but I think this is not the place or time for specifics.
The subject is a for-profit company whose work is done almost entirely by volunteers. The company has a single owner, a small number of employees, many thousands of volunteers, and a Wikipedia page. The owner and employees clearly should disclose COI if they edit the article, but no Wikipedian has made such a disclosure.
My question concerns the volunteer hierarchy, and whether any unpaid editors fall under WP:COI. The organization has a class of Supermembers, chosen and empowered by company employees based on their adherence to company policies and priorities. Most of the company's employees are also designated Supermembers, but about 90% of the Supermembers are unpaid. Supermembers work closely with company employees and manage various departments manned by volunteers. Supermembers wield considerable power in the organization, including a non-employee committee that decides disciplinary matters up to and including permanent member bans. Supermembers retain their positions on condition of upholding and promoting company interests. Does the unpaid Supermember position constitute a close enough connection to create COI?
The company has a Supermember-managed Boosters department, functioning as the company's volunteer marketing arm. Boosters editing the company's article do so on behalf of the company, under the direction of one or more Supermembers (who might also be employees). Does non-Supermember Booster editing rise to the level of COI?
Thanks very much! MundoMango ( talk) 16:21, 14 August 2023 (UTC)

This may be a dumb question, but I want to improve this article so I'm being something of a pedant.
There's a specific article about a crime case involving an incident where a man murdered his younger sister due to her race. I'm curious as how to refer to their relationship: early press refers to her as being his adopted step-sister while later more comprehensive coverage simply refers to her as his sister/adopted sister. They were raised together the majority of their lives by the same parents (as the murderer's biological mother killed herself he was raised by his sister's adopted mother, and his biological father raised them both. adopted half step-siblings? bit of a mouthful). Since the sister's identity is relevant to the crime (she was Asian, her brother was a Neo-Nazi) I feel like being accurate to the specifics of their relationship is important. Which one should I use? The article as is uses adopted step-sister (though the one in the native language of the country the crime occurred in uses adopted sister). I hope this is the right place to ask for advice about this question. If not, i beg you to pardon me.
I would like to create a relatively small encyclopaedia about Berlin and its history (on which subject I contributed to it.wikipedia). I had thought, that I could use MediaWike and ask Miraheze to host my project - but it would be like using an atomic bomb to kill a fly.
What would be your advice? WordPress has (I think) some tools that could be used to make short chapters, each with a title, with internal and external links, footnotes and a list of references (there is even a plugin that would allow to use Zotero). Nevertheless I'm not really convinced - among other reasons, because I would prefer a less "imperial" or monopolistic approach to the use of the Web.
Could anybody suggest some peaces of software and some hosting services that I could explore and see if they are adapted, both technically and morally?

As I understand, neither Professor Bryant, as the subject, nor I, as someone who works for him, should edit his page. So, what is the best way to see that edits are done?
Professor Bryant published his memoir last year ( https://www.rivertownsbooks.com/book-page/bryant-educator-and-activist), and that should be added to his page. There are also inaccuracies in the "Early Life" section (it's actually quite a muddle), so out of curiosity I clicked on the first reference and found that it links to the website of the New England Carnivorous Plant Society! LOL, why? And while reference 4 does say what it is cited for in Professor Bryant's wikipedia page, it is not really accurate. After obtaining his Ph.D. in Education, he was planning on becoming an educational consultant when he was recruited by the School of Natural Resources to start the Environmental Advocacy Program. While he was committed to and active in civil rights actions, it is misleading to say "his goal was to focus on civil rights." And yes, he did initially think he would stay for only a year or so at SEAS, but he ended up spending his entire 40-year academic career there. The description of his involvement with the Black Action Movement needs to be cleaned up, too. For one thing, his housing case (in 1965, well before he joined SEAS) was pursued in collaboration with CORE, not BAM.
Anyway, what is your advice for getting a listing for his memoir added and correcting inaccuracies on the page? Thank you for your help! Wikipedia is a frequent resource for me, and I appreciate the volunteerism that fuels it. - Janet Max (JEMMwiki) JEMMwiki ( talk) 21:26, 14 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello,
I am a long time user but am very new to editing Wikipedia. I am located somewhat near the Sharpner's Pond Anti-Ballistic Missile Site and decided to effectively fully rewrite the article for the location as it was a stub filled with inaccurate information and dead links. I also did some photography at the site to add to the article. I am pleased with the article but would love some feedback. I am new to editing and still a novice as to using the wiki editor.
Feel free to edit the page or leave me some feedback! Explore9021 ( talk) 17:23, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
Up to a couple of days ago, there was a button at the top of the Teashop page, labelled something like "Skip to bottom". I don't recall the exact wording, but - as the name suggests - it took you straight to the most recent topic on the page. As a frequent Teashop lurker, I found this useful.
But the button seems to have disappeared. Now, this is not in any way a serious problem, so please don't spend any time in replying. It's just that I am curious as to why a moderately useful feature was removed. Or am I simply looking in the wrong place? Mike Marchmont ( talk) 16:28, 15 August 2023 (UTC)

I have seen some articles about 'child' or 'teen' actors defining them as such, e.g.
John Doe (born Month X, XXXX) is an American teen actor.
I don't think we should do that as we don't do it with adult notable people, including actors, but maybe I am wrong and it is allowed.
So, is it allowed or not?
This is a question asked out of curiosity for me to have as Wikipedia-oriented knowledge. GrafiXal ( talk) 20:51, 15 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello!
I recently opened a deletion discussion about Joro the Paver, which I believe is a BLP because his crimes were recent enough for him to not be assumed dead, and I think it doesn't meet WP:NBIO, however, User:Necrothesp claimed that this is not a BLP, because of his anonymity. (Sorry if I am misinterpreting what he's saying) QuickQuokka [ talk • contribs 14:18, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
Biographies of living persons ("BLPs") must be written conservatively and with regard for the subject's privacy. What, the privacy of someone whose identity we don't even know and cannot know? This is completely missing the point of BLP, which is to handle obvious sensitivities around living persons. This article is about the crime, which may or may not have been committed by an individual who was later released through lack of evidence (but who was identified in the media). It is not about any specific individual. Are we also going to label Jack the Stripper a BLP because the culprit may still be alive? This is taking things too far. Articles on unsolved crimes clearly do not fall under BLP just because the perpetrator may possibly still be alive. -- Necrothesp ( talk) 14:25, 16 August 2023 (UTC)

Hi all,
I've been looking at an article and looking through the recent edits and I feel like a not so great job has been done and additional things have been added that mean that article no longer has a NPOV. In this case an editor has copy pasted a whole paragraph from a "controversies" section and put it into the lead section. I think the edit is pretty pointless as that is what the "controversies" section is for. Would an edit like this warrant a revert? I just think the editor could have added to the lead section in a more constructive way instead of moving a whole section up. SpicyTofuNoodles ( talk) 10:51, 17 August 2023 (UTC)

My draft article "De Vries - Rose Law" was declined for lacking "reliable sources", despite referencing the original papers by De Vries and Rose, and other refereed journal papers. Is there anyone else who might look at it? The De Vries - Rose Law is of great significance in vision science, and worth having an article about, whether by me or someone else. StormBarn23 ( talk) 18:57, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
referencing the original papers by De Vries and Roseas if that is a good thing. However, on Wikipedia, notability is established by references to reliable sources that are entirely independent of the topic and devote significant coverage to the topic. Accordingly, the papers by De Vries and Rose are of no value in establishing notability. I recommend that you emphasize the references to sources independent of the original authors, and de-emphasize the original papers. As I mentioned, there are plenty of possible sources that can be found at Google Scholar. Cullen328 ( talk) 19:14, 16 August 2023 (UTC)

I recently saw some articles related to the Bernard Quatermass series of works, most of them being GA or even FA. However, some of them may have to be reassessed because of some common things I found:
and I also see that many of them use mostly book sources about the subject or author, Nigel Kneale, which is not a problem, but it is sometimes used to cite reviews in newspapers. I’ll assume that the original newspaper review might have been lost media or something, so right now it’s not part of my concerns. But I feel like it’s a tiny thing to start a reassessment over, because it may be easily fixed; unfortunately I don’t have access to the sources that may be needed.
So I will ask here: should the Quartermass GAs and FAs be reassessed, or is it not needed? Spinixster (chat!) 13:56, 18 August 2023 (UTC)

I am looking to start drafting changes to a few articles - specifically, changes to sections of articles or the addition of new sections entirely. I have been reading through WP:SP and I want to confirm my understanding of how to properly draft article revisions. WP:DRAFT seems to specifically pertain to the drafting of new articles and not major section edits or new sections in existing articles, so I am assuming it's out of scope. In this section of the subpages guideline, it states that you should put drafts of major article revisions in a subpage of the talk namespace. Is this preferred over using a sandbox? I don't want to be creating subpages in the talk namespace if I should be using the sandbox, or vice versa. WP:WORP seems to reinforce that one should use subpages in the talk namespace for this purpose. Everything I've read about the sandbox seems to indicate it's more for testing syntax, but articles like WP:ABOUTSAND hint at using those pages for draft-related purposes. Thanks. The Article: (with minor revisions to align with Wikipedia standards)
Arcade Drivers School: Historical Overview
Beginnings and Initial Challenges Arcade Drivers School was established in 1950, following the suspension of operations at Art-Rite Drivers School, which had been founded in 1947 by Stanley Artrite. Art-Rite is documented as one of the earliest driving schools in Wisconsin, as evidenced by its listing in the 1947 Yellow Pages.
In 1950, operational challenges arose for Art-Rite when Artrite faced legal issues. The school's operations were temporarily halted during this period.
Transition to Arcade Drivers School
William McCluskey, who had prior associations with Art-Rite, took over the institution during its period of suspension. He renamed it to Arcade Drivers School, with the name reflecting its location in Milwaukee's Plankinton Arcade Building. McCluskey faced challenges in reaching out to former Art-Rite customers due to limited access to their contact information.
Evolution of Arcade Drivers School
Under McCluskey's direction, the school emphasized quality in driver education. This was reflected in the training standards and the condition of the training vehicles. The school's growth led to an increase in trained instructors, some of whom later started their own driving schools. The school's consistent advertisements in the Milwaukee Journal over several decades highlighted its presence in the local community.
Advertising Trends in Driver Education
The latter half of the 20th century saw driving schools, including Arcade, engage in advertising campaigns, particularly in the Yellow Pages. Arcade's rebranding strategy during this period influenced naming trends among competitors.
Collaborations and Partnerships
Arcade collaborated with Sears, leading to the introduction of 'Sears Driving School' in Wisconsin.
Current Status
Arcade Drivers School has remained operational over the decades, marking its presence in Wisconsin's driver education sector. Other schools, such as 'Easy Method Driving School' and 'North Shore Driving School', have also been operational for several decades.

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because...
(I am working on an article about Arcade Drivers School, Wisconsin's first and longest-standing driving school. This institution has been operational for over 70 years and has indirectly influenced the structure and standards of nearly every driving school established in the state since.
Historical Significance: Arcade Drivers School is not just a commercial entity; it represents a significant part of Wisconsin's educational history. As the state's first driving school, it has set industry standards for over seven decades.
Neutrality: I am neither an employee nor a stakeholder in Arcade Drivers School. My interest in this topic stems from my professional background in the driver education industry from 1987 to 2005. As a former owner of Assurance Driving School, a competitor of Arcade, I have firsthand knowledge of the industry's evolution and Arcade's pivotal role in shaping it.
Notability: Many current driving schools in Wisconsin indirectly trace their origins and methodologies back to Arcade. This institution's resilience, despite the rise and fall of numerous competitors, underscores its significance in the industry.
Personal Experience: While I was trained by Arcade in 1986 and later established my own driving school, I've observed many others follow a similar path. Despite training its competition, Arcade has remained a stalwart in the industry, a testament to its foundational role in Wisconsin driver education.
Objective Recognition: My intention is not to promote Arcade but to acknowledge its historical and ongoing impact on driver education in Wisconsin. Its enduring presence and influence on multiple generations of driving schools make it a notable subject for an encyclopedic entry.
I am committed to adhering to Wikipedia's guidelines and ensuring that the article is factual, neutral, and verifiable.
I appreciate your consideration and am open to feedback to improve the article further.)

Arcade Drivers School's unbroken presence in every edition of the Yellow Pages from 1950 to the present, available at the Milwaukee Central Library, underscores its foundational role in Wisconsin's driver education sector.is an example of this. Hi, would appreciate advice on this one. I'm looking at the long list of publications in the article Cat Palmer. About half of these are external links. I'm thinking of deleting the whole section per WP:EL and, more generally, because the list does not add anything useful to the article. Does this seem reasonable to others? I realise the article has other issues to do with tone and sourcing, but am just looking at this section at the moment. Thanks. Tacyarg ( talk) 21:50, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
I am trying to edit the page Diacritic, specifically the section §Diacritics that do not produce new letters, and I receive the error "Unable to fetch Parsoid HTML".
This is my edit:
A few English words, often when used out of context, especially in isolation, can only be distinguished from other words of the same spelling by using a diacritic or modified letter. These include exposé, lamé, maté, öre, øre, résumé and rosé. In a few words, diacritics that did not exist in the original have been added for disambiguation, as in maté (from Sp. and Port. mate), saké (the standard Romanization of the Japanese has no accent mark), and Malé (from Dhivehi މާލެ), to clearly distinguish them from the English words mate, sake, and male.
Why am I getting this error? LOOKSQUARE ( 👤️· 🗨️) talk 17:02, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
I previously asked a question at https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions/Archive_1197#Matthew_Goodwin and was asked to provide sources but never got a response. I've been told to discuss sources on the article talk page but not had a response there either. Now all of the material based on reviews of Goodwin's work has been deleted from the article. Why is it seemingly not allowed for an article to contain (positive and negative) reaction to an academic's work? 148.252.128.55 ( talk) 23:01, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
Guys, I'm so confused. I added summaries of largely critical reviews of Goodwin's work and this has been removed in the name of making the article less promotional. Diannaa says above that I added 800 words of quotations but this is simply untrue. After the recommendations I got above, those words were mostly my summaries of the sources. All of the critical sources have now been removed. The article might as well have been written by Goodwin now, apart from the bit about the National Conservatism Conference, which is the only part to reflect the huge amounts of criticism of his agenda that are out there. 84.66.89.167 ( talk) 21:11, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello,
I've recently made a German translation of the wikipedia page of one of my favourite bands, MUNA ( https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:Migentelatino/Muna_(Band)). I did it on my own, therefore I didn't use any machine translation etc. This is the first time I've done this, so I had to learn how to use the editor first, therefore I didn't publish it as a translation in the tool, but on my user page (then fixing my translation and the layout a bit).
I got an automated message yesterday saying my translation was added to the German "import requests" page ( https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Importw%C3%BCnsche), and I needed to confirm that I didn't infringe on any copyright laws and adhered to all licenses, which I did in a short sentence. Still, I don't know if my page will be added as a translation, or whether I need to make another import request manually or copy the page and submit it in the "Content Translation" tool. I've seen other articles with and without flag icons so thought it best to find out what feedback I should be providing in the review before I do. in the High Middle Ages, the Kurdish ethnic identity gradually materialized, as one can find clear evidence of the Kurdish ethnic identity and solidarity in texts of the 12th and 13th centuries. Therefore, trying to assign definitive Kurdish identity to someone like Abu Hanifa Dinawari, who died in 895, several hundred years earlier, is dubious. As for HistoryofIran, that editor is very experienced and knows Wikipedia's Policies and guidelines very well. I suggest that you try to learn from them. Cullen328 ( talk) 07:25, 20 August 2023 (UTC)

Hi everyone. Not exactly a new editor here. I've been on the fringes of the Wikimedia projects since around 2006, just never a part of the "community". I've just recently taken a very strong renewed interest in this project, and I was able to recover this old account from 2008-09.
My question is this: what are 3-5 problems on English Wikipedia that are the most in need of pressing attention? I noticed that the article Global Geospace Science, at least its lead section, appears to be an almost-verbatim copypaste of this NASA paper, and I wouldn't be surprised if the other section is also a copypaste because of its unwikilike form (although it could just be the work of a novice editor). I'm not experienced with dealing with copyvios or plagiarism here, but my understanding is that this would ordinarily be a G12 speedy deletion. However, since this is a NASA paper, with the authors' attributed affiliation being the Goddard Space Flight Center, this would make the paper be in the public domain, as a work created by US government employees during the course of their work, right? And so WP:CN isn't the right place for this. I read through WP:Plagiarism but didn't really get a clear picture on what to do, as this isn't just a little bit that's been plagiarized, but half of the article has been copied. I'm not interested in rewriting the article to a better standard, but don't want to leave this entirely ignored; is there some template that I can put up that'll mark it as a non-copyright-violating copypaste needing work? – oatco (talk) 21:23, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

I am seeking assistance in writing a comprehensive and accurate wiki page for Afleece Johnson. Unfortunately, there are numerous false articles circulating, containing incorrect information about his birthday and suggesting that Assf from the Kite Runner is his father. Additionally, these articles claim that he assaulted 157 men and participated in a fictional battle royal. While he is known as the "Booty Warrior," it is challenging to find a reliable and definitive source to verify these claims. I am wondering if there is a way to gather ideas and receive help without creating a new post that may not be in good faith. Is it possible for us to collaboratively write the article, where I can vet the content with a group and ensure its accuracy before locking it? Alternatively, could I volunteer to contribute to the article and allow the community to write it, while I provide a specific timeframe for completion? Another option could be arranging an interview with Afleece Johnson, where any information found to be untrue can be challenged and corrected. I believe any new sources I come across may be in bad faith, so I have included a link to my notion explaining the false articles. @ Mimisavou: What should you do? On Wikipedia, you should do nothing about this, and edit constructively in other areas. In the current mode of wikitext editing, when you're editing on the left side of the screen, things dynamically update on the right side. While the idea sounds good, I've found this change to be generally annoying. Now I've had the experience that when an edit conflict occurs, it seems that my changes are all lost (whereas previously, I could view the changes I had made since it would let me display a diff against the version of the page when I had started editing).
Am I wrong? It's possible I made a mistake, but I don't think so. In any case, I just want to go back to the former behavior, as I find the new behavior to be quite annoying. (My apologies if this has been prevoiusly addressed.) Fabrickator ( talk) 23:56, 20 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello. I am planning on making a draft for a record label and I have a few questions. There isn't much about it online yet but I've found some good sources and think it could become an article. I've compiled a discography of almost all the labels 40 or so releases and was thinking it would be good for the article as the information is only available in fragmented form online. The label had a special numbering system running from I think P1. to P 42 with a few extras. Only problem is, I've found no sources for P1 to P9. This means the discography table would be incomplete. Should I still add it in hopes someone adds the rest later? Or would having an incomplete table look bad? The other thing I'm wondering is how do I make a draft? I've made some before but I've forgotten which steps to take now as it's been a while. Sorry for the long question, thanks in advance!

Greetings - I am asking this question on behalf of Bunyan Bryant ( /info/en/?search=Bunyan_Bryant). Neither of us know anything about editing Wikipedia pages, although I have done some reading about it.

SpicyTofuNoodles ( talk) 10:51, 17 August 2023 (UTC)

referencing the original papers by De Vries and Roseas if that is a good thing.

Thanks.

If you were to include the following demographic data in the prose of an article, how would you do it? Keep in mind that categories like "race", "white", and "Hispanic" are socially defined, so the prose should present them as they would be used in everyday life.
Race | Total | Hispanic or Latino | Not Hispanic or Latino |

White | 43.56% | 2.49% | 41.07% |

Still, I don't know if my page will be added as a translation, or whether I need to make another import request manually or copy the page and submit it in the "Content Translation" tool. in the High Middle Ages, the Kurdish ethnic identity gradually materialized, as one can find clear evidence of the Kurdish ethnic identity and solidarity in texts of the 12th and 13th centuries.

Among the many things that Wikipedia is not, Wikipedia is definitely not a place for righting great wrongs. It is not the place to "set the record straight". If sources have errors, then contact those sources to retract or correct their errors. Wikipedia does not exist to do that. ~ Anachronist ( talk) 15:53, 21 August 2023 (UTC)

The observable universe contains an estimated 1022 to 1024 stars. Only about 4,000 of these stars are visible to the naked eye. Shantavira| feed me 08:49, 22 August 2023 (UTC)

Is there a standard depending on where the article is about, or what is the case? I assume it is American English since I have seen the double quotation marks used in place of the singular ones. It has most likely already been answered somewhere, still, I ask. Monocéfalo ( talk) 04:35, 22 August 2023 (UTC)

Sometimes when I am away from home I am blocked from editing Wikipedia on my phone. This has always seemed to be because of an issue with the WiFi I was using and was always fine when I came home. Now I am blocked on my mobile phone even at home, and on PC I am getting Notices about vandalism at User talk:66.234.206.84. Could someone point me towards help to regain editing access on my phone and make sure my account isn't somehow linked to editing taking place at some public IP address? Thanks for any help Mgp28 ( talk) 17:53, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
