The Wikimedia Foundation will be conducting an all-day Academy at the National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, Maryland, on Thursday, July 16. The team that will be teaching at the Academy, a mix of paid staff and volunteers, is looking for four more volunteers to be teaching assistants, providing one-to-one assistance in workshops whenever a workshop participant has a problem following the instructional directions. (We currently have two editors signed up as teaching assistants, and are looking for a total of six.)
The NIH editing workshops are only for two hours, but volunteers are asked to meet the Wikimedia Foundation team at the hotel in Bethesda at about 7:15 a.m. (time to be finalized shortly) and to stay for the entire day, which ends at 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. (The full schedule can be found here.)
The team is not necessarily looking for expert editors (though they are welcome), just people who can help novices who might get stuck when trying to do some basic things. If you've been an editor for at least 3 months, and have done at least 500 edits, you probably qualify.
If you're interested, please send John Broughton an email. If you might be interested, but would like further information, please post a note on his user talk page, so that he can respond there, and others can see what was asked.

Matt: I've made some criticisms of the MacLean article in discussions and edits to various linked articles. Moreover, I've nominated it for deletion from the GA listing. Mr. MacLean's efforts to achieve Supreme Court review are laudable, but when so much material is devoted to his bio, and not the effort, the effort gets sidetracked. Mattwashdoc: The more I look at Mr. MacLean's article, the more I see that is disturbing. According to one of the citations ( http://www.navytimes.com/legacy/new/0-NAVYPAPER-2153773.php), he received a Dishonorable Discharge from the Navy. This fact (if correct) is not mentioned anywhere else in any article referencing him. Moreover, given the fact that a Pardon was denied I surmise the conviction remains on the books. Mattwashdc, your recent spate of revisions is most refreshing. Thank you. And I hope you shall continue in your honorable and noble endeavor.
Personally, I think service members ought to have the access to SCOTUS. But the issue is really a machts nichts situation. We have a military that is recruited from a select population. The leaders are sworn to integrity and to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution beyond all else. The military justice system has multiple layers of due process protections. As a result, the CAAF handles what -- 50 cases a year?
Sure, errors happen. (Where don't they?) And in time we work to correct the errors both in the real world and in Wikipedia. So when it comes down to it, after Equal Access is passed, only one or two cases per decade will get SCOTUS review. With that in mind, BLP's efforts really won't change much. But a good article on EA (such as the one started off by Pmedema) can.
As for BLPs sexual status, he came into the Navy just a little too late. DADT is almost gone. With senior leaders such as Mike Mullen leading the way, the services will figure out how to handle the integration. Just as we now have women, African-American, Hispanic, Asian, and other minorities serving as flag officers, LGBT service members will rise through the ranks and serve with distinction. BLP might have become one of those flag officers, only he bounced a bunch of checks. In this, he made some dishonest mistakes and he was precluded from developing his talents as a sailor, CTA, and potentially as an officer. Too bad. But this does not make him a worthy hero of the LGBT community in or out of the service. Quite the opposite.

If we look at (and heed) WP:GREATWRONGS, then the BLP becomes a very short article. From what I see and surmise, his article was originally written by him (COI) to help "avenge" the CM, and less so to promote Equal Access. But assuming that promoting Equal Access was a good faith effort and a noble one, the RGW (and LARD) features of the BLP article detract (destroy) its encyclopedic worthiness. With this in mind, proper editing of the BLP produces a very, very short background paragraph on his Navy career.
E.g., it goes something like this:
The info about him being gay gets left out because WP is about verifiability, not truth.

“Roughing It” is Mark Twain’s book about his travels in the West and Hawaii. He has one section where he describes desperate and unlucky miners (I believe in the Carson City area – I can’t remember when I read the book) who do not actually have any claims to mine or even explore. Instead, they scrounge about the tailings of the various digs, digging and looking for anything that might be a nugget or valuable ore. When, after weeks and months of futile searching, they find any such nuggets (however pitiful the sample may be), they run into town with a hoot and a holler, loudly exclaiming that they’ve “hit the mother lode!” Of course the townspeople and other miners know that their claims are a sham, because these guys are without equipment, without grub, and often without hope. But they buy the “lucky” prospector a drink and then wait for the next occasional claimant to come running into town. (Nearby Virginia City is now a tourist trap where the visitors bring Gold and Silver Visa cards to the town!)
Well, I bring up this story because this is exactly what is happening with the digging, scrounging, research, etc with Norbert Basil MacLean III O’Connor Keough. Hundreds of pages of documents are there for perusal, and some of them have tiny nuggets which give the digger hope. But this digging of the tailings from MacLean’s cases – his many, many cases – ignores the fact that the shaft is a dry hole.
Much hooting and hollering is made of the allegation/fact that Cosgriff did not like MacLean. Was it because MacLean was gay or, perhaps, because he was getting in good with Admirals and Ambassadors? Maybe he developed an attitude problem or some other personality trait that rubbed Cosgriff the wrong way. Or maybe he actually did bounce the checks in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. (Oh, yeah, we should mention the 16 civil and 3 criminal cases in San Diego where MacLean is a defendant?) As the saying goes -- where there’s smoke . . ..
But in the court-martial Cosgriff's prejudices (if any) do not matter. The IO found sufficient evidence (as did NCIS and the local civilian DA’s) to bring the charges. Nor does it matter whether Cosgriff’s recommendation on the CM is actually part of the record. What was Cosgriff going to say? That he did NOT recommend CM? If that were so, then he had the option (if not obligation) of NOT forwarding the case to the GCMCA. He could have given MacLean another Captain’s Mast. Again, Cosgriff (like the IO and the SJA) actually made his recommendation to the GCMCA and then the GCMCA made his decision. At some point, MacLean, who was represented by defense counsel, agreed to plead guilty. (Sitting in the brig can focus one's attention. One, maybe he contemplated several more years in the brig, or two, he was just sick of it.) In any event, we have absolutely nothing in the ROT (so I understand) that evidence went missing immediately before trial. (The stuff about the missing evidence/pay records came up in news articles, in which MacLean was the primary source.) If the evidence went missing, why then didn’t DC move for a dismissal? The UCMJ and Navy do (for the most part) follow the “beyond reasonable doubt” standard in deciding these cases, don’t they? And DC, like most other attorneys, really enjoy winning an occasional case.
Again, no. MacLean plead guilty and the military judge made an inquiry to MacLean directly as to whether he was in fact guilty. E.g., he asked questions like: “Did you write these checks?” When MacLean said yes to the judge, the judge then made the finding (along with considering the documentary evidence) that MacLean was guilty.
This issue of Cosgriff is a red-herring. The NMCCA considered the issue of unlawful command influence and rejected it. MacLean lost his case on appeal, and he must have known (with the advice of counsel) that going to COMA was not worth it. His better option was to get out of the Navy, and so he did.
The issue of whether or not the complaint of wrongs regarding the earlier demotion was discussed and resolved by the courts of appeal. Repeat: that issue was argued and decided against MacLean. He was certainly on notice that he had a complaint about Cosgriff. It did not matter to the court-martial whether the complaint was meritorious -- the issue was the bad checks. Didn’t his defense counsel consider the fact that the Art. 138 complaint was pending when DC worked on the plea bargain? Was it worth it to press for a speedy decision on the complaint so that MacLean could come into court as a PO, rather than Seaman? Maybe DC thought that having him come into court as a "former PO" was a better tactic -- "See, your honor, they've already busted my client once. He bounced checks because his pay was reduced." Again, the complaint of wrongs – meritorious or not – is another red-herring.
And so, in the long run, it just does not matter what sort of material gets into Wikipedia. MacLean's effort to have WP Right this Great Wrong seemed to be going along just fine because here was an article that supported his futile argument that he was railroaded. The article was even on the way to becoming a A rated, or even FA, until some other editor came along and said “what on earth is going on here?” At that point, reality set in and the article got the serious, critical editing that it deserved. It could no longer function as a reflection of MacLean’s “cause” or vanity. I am the actual person (Norbert) whom the Norbert Basil MacLean III Wikipedia article is on. Today it has been brought to my attention the contents of the Discussion page. The Discussion page, linked to the article, contains very, very private and personal matters which are not easily known to the public (the general public cannot easily find), to include domestic violence, restraining orders, where I live, court cases which have been ordered sealed and/or expunged, criminal cases with have been expunged and sealed. How this and me are notable defies logic. User:Mattwashdc and User:Srich32977, today I have written to Wikipedia's headquarters to complain. I have never viewed myself as worthy of an encyclopedia article. Whilst there was minor coverage of my court-martial and some coverage of the bill I suggested to Representative Davis it is not law yet and I do not believe that I am or the proposal is worthy of an article either in an online encyclopedia (Wikipedia) or in a print encyclopedia. Perhaps if the law is passed by Congress and signed into law by the President it could possibly be worthy of an encyclopedia. Please take notice that I'm not the only person who has asked Congress to change the law, there are heaps of other individuals and organisations who have. Judge Walter Cox did so in a report issued in Cox Commission II in 2009. Eugene Fidell first did so in the mid 1980s when he was an attorney for the ACLU and testified before Armed Services Committees. The late Captain Kevin Barry, USCG did so in law journals. The American Bar Association did so in 2006. I am but one of heaps of individual and organisations. Earlier this year the contents of this article caused a very serious invasion of my privacy. This article should be deleted because it's not worthy of Wikipedia. There is nothing notable that I have done. Both of you please, through your little edit war, take a step back, and try putting yourself in my shoes. Much of what you are writing about took place well over a decade ago and may have received a minute or two of press. Is it encyclopedia worthy? I think not. I believe and feel that it is an invasion of my privacy and libellous. User:Mattwashdc and User:Srich32977, please do not use my personal life as a pawn for or against the pending Congressional bills because my life is not notable. I am but one citizen who is using the democratic process in order to try to effect a change. That's all. On Tuesday, 28 May there will be a community Wikipedia meeting at the United States National Library of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland - with a second on Thursday, 30 May for those who can't make it on Tuesday. You can participate either in-person, or via an online webinar. If you attend in person, USB sticks (but not external drives) are ok to use.

Hello there,
I am pleased to say that April will be a very exciting month for Wikipedia in Washington, DC. We have a lot of different events coming up, so you will have a lot to choose from.
First, a reminder that our second annual Women in the Arts Edit-a-Thon will take place on Sunday, March 30 at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
Coming up in April, we have our first-ever Open Government WikiHack with the Sunlight Foundation on April 5–6! We are working together to use open government data to improve the Wikimedia projects, and we would love your help. All are welcome, regardless of coding or editing experience. We will also be having a happy hour the day before, with refreshments courtesy of the Sunlight Foundation.
On Friday, April 11 we are having our first edit-a-thon ever with the Library of Congress. The Africa Collection Edit-a-Thon will focus on the Library's African and Middle East Reading Room. It'll be early in the morning, but it's especially worth it if you're interested in improving Wikipedia's coverage of African topics.
The following day, we are having our second annual Wiki Loves Capitol Hill training. We will discuss policy issues relevant to Wikimedia and plan for our day of outreach to Congressional staffers that will take place during the following week.
There are other meetups in the works, so be sure to check our meetup page with the latest. I hope to see you at some of these events!

I am pleased to announce our fourth annual picnic, the Great American Wiknic, will take place at Meridian Hill Park in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, July 13 from 1 to 5 PM (rain date: July 20). We will be hanging out by the statue of Dante Alighieri, a statue that was donated to the park in 1921 as a tribute to Italian Americans. Read more about the statue on Wikipedia. July will also feature the second annual Great American Wiknic in Frederick, Maryland. This year’s Frederick picnic will take place on Sunday, July 6 at Baker Park. Sign up here for the Frederick picnic.

If you're coming by Metro, the closest station is Dupont Circle (on the Red Line). As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.
The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. As we approach the end of the year, the Military History project is looking to recognise editors who have made a real difference. Each year we do this by bestowing two awards: the Military Historian of the Year and the Military History Newcomer of the Year. The Wikimedia Foundation will be conducting an all-day Academy at the National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, Maryland, on Thursday, July 16. The team that will be teaching at the Academy, a mix of paid staff and volunteers, is looking for four more volunteers to be teaching assistants, providing one-to-one assistance in workshops whenever a workshop participant has a problem following the instructional directions. (We currently have two editors signed up as teaching assistants, and are looking for a total of six.)
The NIH editing workshops are only for two hours, but volunteers are asked to meet the Wikimedia Foundation team at the hotel in Bethesda at about 7:15 a.m. (time to be finalized shortly) and to stay for the entire day, which ends at 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. (The full schedule can be found here.)
The team is not necessarily looking for expert editors (though they are welcome), just people who can help novices who might get stuck when trying to do some basic things. If you've been an editor for at least 3 months, and have done at least 500 edits, you probably qualify.

Matt: I've made some criticisms of the MacLean article in discussions and edits to various linked articles. Moreover, I've nominated it for deletion from the GA listing. Mr. MacLean's efforts to achieve Supreme Court review are laudable, but when so much material is devoted to his bio, and not the effort, the effort gets sidetracked. Mattwashdoc: The more I look at Mr. MacLean's article, the more I see that is disturbing. According to one of the citations ( http://www.navytimes.com/legacy/new/0-NAVYPAPER-2153773.php), he received a Dishonorable Discharge from the Navy. This fact (if correct) is not mentioned anywhere else in any article referencing him. Moreover, given the fact that a Pardon was denied I surmise the conviction remains on the books. Mattwashdc, your recent spate of revisions is most refreshing. Thank you. And I hope you shall continue in your honorable and noble endeavor.
Personally, I think service members ought to have the access to SCOTUS. But the issue is really a machts nichts situation. We have a military that is recruited from a select population. The leaders are sworn to integrity and to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution beyond all else. The military justice system has multiple layers of due process protections. As a result, the CAAF handles what -- 50 cases a year?
Sure, errors happen. (Where don't they?) And in time we work to correct the errors both in the real world and in Wikipedia. So when it comes down to it, after Equal Access is passed, only one or two cases per decade will get SCOTUS review. With that in mind, BLP's efforts really won't change much. But a good article on EA (such as the one started off by Pmedema) can.
As for BLPs sexual status, he came into the Navy just a little too late. DADT is almost gone. With senior leaders such as Mike Mullen leading the way, the services will figure out how to handle the integration. Just as we now have women, African-American, Hispanic, Asian, and other minorities serving as flag officers, LGBT service members will rise through the ranks and serve with distinction. BLP might have become one of those flag officers, only he bounced a bunch of checks. In this, he made some dishonest mistakes and he was precluded from developing his talents as a sailor, CTA, and potentially as an officer. Too bad. But this does not make him a worthy hero of the LGBT community in or out of the service. Quite the opposite.

If we look at (and heed) WP:GREATWRONGS, then the BLP becomes a very short article. From what I see and surmise, his article was originally written by him (COI) to help "avenge" the CM, and less so to promote Equal Access. But assuming that promoting Equal Access was a good faith effort and a noble one, the RGW (and LARD) features of the BLP article detract (destroy) its encyclopedic worthiness. With this in mind, proper editing of the BLP produces a very, very short background paragraph on his Navy career.
E.g., it goes something like this:
The info about him being gay gets left out because WP is about verifiability, not truth.

“Roughing It” is Mark Twain’s book about his travels in the West and Hawaii. He has one section where he describes desperate and unlucky miners (I believe in the Carson City area – I can’t remember when I read the book) who do not actually have any claims to mine or even explore. Instead, they scrounge about the tailings of the various digs, digging and looking for anything that might be a nugget or valuable ore. When, after weeks and months of futile searching, they find any such nuggets (however pitiful the sample may be), they run into town with a hoot and a holler, loudly exclaiming that they’ve “hit the mother lode!” Of course the townspeople and other miners know that their claims are a sham, because these guys are without equipment, without grub, and often without hope. But they buy the “lucky” prospector a drink and then wait for the next occasional claimant to come running into town. (Nearby Virginia City is now a tourist trap where the visitors bring Gold and Silver Visa cards to the town!)
Well, I bring up this story because this is exactly what is happening with the digging, scrounging, research, etc with Norbert Basil MacLean III O’Connor Keough. Hundreds of pages of documents are there for perusal, and some of them have tiny nuggets which give the digger hope. But this digging of the tailings from MacLean’s cases – his many, many cases – ignores the fact that the shaft is a dry hole.
Much hooting and hollering is made of the allegation/fact that Cosgriff did not like MacLean. Was it because MacLean was gay or, perhaps, because he was getting in good with Admirals and Ambassadors? Maybe he developed an attitude problem or some other personality trait that rubbed Cosgriff the wrong way. Or maybe he actually did bounce the checks in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. (Oh, yeah, we should mention the 16 civil and 3 criminal cases in San Diego where MacLean is a defendant?) As the saying goes -- where there’s smoke . . ..
But in the court-martial Cosgriff's prejudices (if any) do not matter. The IO found sufficient evidence (as did NCIS and the local civilian DA’s) to bring the charges. Nor does it matter whether Cosgriff’s recommendation on the CM is actually part of the record. What was Cosgriff going to say? That he did NOT recommend CM? If that were so, then he had the option (if not obligation) of NOT forwarding the case to the GCMCA. He could have given MacLean another Captain’s Mast. Again, Cosgriff (like the IO and the SJA) actually made his recommendation to the GCMCA and then the GCMCA made his decision. At some point, MacLean, who was represented by defense counsel, agreed to plead guilty. (Sitting in the brig can focus one's attention. One, maybe he contemplated several more years in the brig, or two, he was just sick of it.) In any event, we have absolutely nothing in the ROT (so I understand) that evidence went missing immediately before trial. (The stuff about the missing evidence/pay records came up in news articles, in which MacLean was the primary source.) If the evidence went missing, why then didn’t DC move for a dismissal? The UCMJ and Navy do (for the most part) follow the “beyond reasonable doubt” standard in deciding these cases, don’t they? And DC, like most other attorneys, really enjoy winning an occasional case.
Again, no. MacLean plead guilty and the military judge made an inquiry to MacLean directly as to whether he was in fact guilty. E.g., he asked questions like: “Did you write these checks?” When MacLean said yes to the judge, the judge then made the finding (along with considering the documentary evidence) that MacLean was guilty.
This issue of Cosgriff is a red-herring. The NMCCA considered the issue of unlawful command influence and rejected it. MacLean lost his case on appeal, and he must have known (with the advice of counsel) that going to COMA was not worth it. His better option was to get out of the Navy, and so he did.
The issue of whether or not the complaint of wrongs regarding the earlier demotion was discussed and resolved by the courts of appeal. Repeat: that issue was argued and decided against MacLean. He was certainly on notice that he had a complaint about Cosgriff. It did not matter to the court-martial whether the complaint was meritorious -- the issue was the bad checks. Didn’t his defense counsel consider the fact that the Art. 138 complaint was pending when DC worked on the plea bargain? Was it worth it to press for a speedy decision on the complaint so that MacLean could come into court as a PO, rather than Seaman? Maybe DC thought that having him come into court as a "former PO" was a better tactic -- "See, your honor, they've already busted my client once. He bounced checks because his pay was reduced." Again, the complaint of wrongs – meritorious or not – is another red-herring.
And so, in the long run, it just does not matter what sort of material gets into Wikipedia. MacLean's effort to have WP Right this Great Wrong seemed to be going along just fine because here was an article that supported his futile argument that he was railroaded. The article was even on the way to becoming a A rated, or even FA, until some other editor came along and said “what on earth is going on here?” At that point, reality set in and the article got the serious, critical editing that it deserved. It could no longer function as a reflection of MacLean’s “cause” or vanity. I am the actual person (Norbert) whom the Norbert Basil MacLean III Wikipedia article is on. Today it has been brought to my attention the contents of the Discussion page. The Discussion page, linked to the article, contains very, very private and personal matters which are not easily known to the public (the general public cannot easily find), to include domestic violence, restraining orders, where I live, court cases which have been ordered sealed and/or expunged, criminal cases with have been expunged and sealed. How this and me are notable defies logic. User:Mattwashdc and User:Srich32977, today I have written to Wikipedia's headquarters to complain. I have never viewed myself as worthy of an encyclopedia article. Whilst there was minor coverage of my court-martial and some coverage of the bill I suggested to Representative Davis it is not law yet and I do not believe that I am or the proposal is worthy of an article either in an online encyclopedia (Wikipedia) or in a print encyclopedia. Perhaps if the law is passed by Congress and signed into law by the President it could possibly be worthy of an encyclopedia. Please take notice that I'm not the only person who has asked Congress to change the law, there are heaps of other individuals and organisations who have. Judge Walter Cox did so in a report issued in Cox Commission II in 2009. Eugene Fidell first did so in the mid 1980s when he was an attorney for the ACLU and testified before Armed Services Committees. The late Captain Kevin Barry, USCG did so in law journals. The American Bar Association did so in 2006. I am but one of heaps of individual and organisations. Earlier this year the contents of this article caused a very serious invasion of my privacy. This article should be deleted because it's not worthy of Wikipedia. There is nothing notable that I have done. Both of you please, through your little edit war, take a step back, and try putting yourself in my shoes. Much of what you are writing about took place well over a decade ago and may have received a minute or two of press. Is it encyclopedia worthy? I think not. I believe and feel that it is an invasion of my privacy and libellous. User:Mattwashdc and User:Srich32977, please do not use my personal life as a pawn for or against the pending Congressional bills because my life is not notable. I am but one citizen who is using the democratic process in order to try to effect a change. That's all. Thousands of other United States citizens do the same every year, do they deserve a Wikipedia article? I think not. ( Norbert3 ( talk) 04:18, 8 September 2010 (UTC))

Hello there,
I am pleased to say that April will be a very exciting month for Wikipedia in Washington, DC. We have a lot of different events coming up, so you will have a lot to choose from.
First, a reminder that our second annual Women in the Arts Edit-a-Thon will take place on Sunday, March 30 at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
Coming up in April, we have our first-ever Open Government WikiHack with the Sunlight Foundation on April 5–6! We are working together to use open government data to improve the Wikimedia projects, and we would love your help. All are welcome, regardless of coding or editing experience. We will also be having a happy hour the day before, with refreshments courtesy of the Sunlight Foundation.
On Friday, April 11 we are having our first edit-a-thon ever with the Library of Congress. The Africa Collection Edit-a-Thon will focus on the Library's African and Middle East Reading Room. It'll be early in the morning, but it's especially worth it if you're interested in improving Wikipedia's coverage of African topics.
The following day, we are having our second annual Wiki Loves Capitol Hill training. We will discuss policy issues relevant to Wikimedia and plan for our day of outreach to Congressional staffers that will take place during the following week.
There are other meetups in the works, so be sure to check our meetup page with the latest. I hope to see you at some of these events!

I am pleased to announce our fourth annual picnic, the Great American Wiknic, will take place at Meridian Hill Park in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, July 13 from 1 to 5 PM (rain date: July 20). We will be hanging out by the statue of Dante Alighieri, a statue that was donated to the park in 1921 as a tribute to Italian Americans. Read more about the statue on Wikipedia. Not even a week ago I sent out a message talking about upcoming events in DC. Guess what? There are more events coming up in February.

G'day all, please be advised that throughout March 2017 the Military history Wikiproject is running its March Madness drive. This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:
As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.
The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. More information can be found here for those that are interested, and members can sign up as participants at that page also.
The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 March and runs until 23:59 UTC on 31 March 2017, so please sign up now.

As we approach the end of the year, the Military History project is looking to recognise editors who have made a real difference. Each year we do this by bestowing two awards: the Military Historian of the Year and the Military History Newcomer of the Year. The co-ordinators invite all project members to get involved by nominating any editor they feel merits recognition for their contributions to the project. Nominations for both awards are open between 00:01 on 2 December 2017 and 23:59 on 15 December 2017. After this, a 14-day voting period will follow commencing at 00:01 on 16 December 2017. "Military history" is one of the most important subjects when speak of sum of all human knowledge. To support contributors interested in the area over various language Wikipedias, we intend to form a user group. It also provides a platform to share the best practices between military historians, and various military related projects on Wikipedias. An initial discussion was has been done between the coordinators and members of WikiProject Military History on English Wikipedia. Now this discussion has been taken to Meta-Wiki. Contributors intrested in the area of military history are requested to share their feedback and give suggestions at Talk:Discussion to incubate a user group for Wikipedia Military Historians.
