The first Tech LadyMafia Edit-a-thon will be Friday, April 17, 2015 at Taoti Creative in Washington, D.C. During this edit-a-thon, we will work together to improve and author Wikipedia content pertaining to notable Women in Tech, with a loose focus on historical figures. Beginners are welcome – Wikipedia editing training will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!
Organized by Tech LadyMafia, and Wikimedia DC
Trying to get into the building? Tweet @alisonjo2786 and we'll come for you right away!
This event is open to people of all experience levels, and it is not exclusive to TLM-members -- all women and allies are welcome! We have 20 slots available for in-person participation, and unlimited slots for remote participation. We encourage you to gather in local groups – it's easier and more fun to edit with other people! RSVP by adding your name to the appropriate list below ( you'll want to register a Wikipedia user account first). If you signed up but can no longer join us in person, please remove yourself from the list so someone else can use your spot.
Sign up here to be moved to the in-person list if any spots open up -- if this happens, we'll move your name to the main list with a note for you to confirm that you can still come, or we'll offer the spot to the next person (so please come back and check this list often!).
Join our "Hangout On Air" at 5:00pm ET to watch the training livestream ( on YouTube). Then, share your activity on Twitter with the hashtag #TechLadiesWiki, and list your work under Outcomes below!
The to-do list is supplied by WikiProject Women in Technology, a new WikiProject created for this event!
