Hello and welcome to the November edition of the Military history WikiProject newsletter! We've continued to tweak with the formatting and layout of The Bugle in an effort to optimize our newsletter. How do you like the new format? Is there anything we can continue to improve upon? Let us know here. As always, we encourage anyone who would like to submit an editorial for next month's Bugle to do so at the news and editorials division. This month features an interesting article about deletion candidacy and military biographies by bahamut0013.

In the past month, the coordinators have been busy in a large-scale reorganization of the project. Task forces are being overhauled per last month's proposed revisions, and will now serve primarily as article tracking and notice systems ( more information). We have also eliminated the task force talk pages, redirecting them to the main project talk page. This month will also see the return of " The Military Historian of the Year", recognizing outstanding achievement and work in our project over the past year. Please nominate and vote on editors here.

Lastly, we wish the best of luck to all of our student members of the project who are about to take their winter examinations. Study hard, and remember: Finis Coronat Opus ("the end crowns the work").

Discussions and proposals

  • As mentioned above, nominations and voting for the " Military Historian of the Year" are open. Please take a few minutes and support who you think should receive this prestigious award here.
  • As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline and simplify the project's infrastructure, we are in the process of establishing an incubator within the strategy think tank. The incubator will act as a central host for new initiatives-such as proposed task forces, special projects, working groups-as they gather interest and evolve into more permanent elements. We are seeking comment and feedback on the proposal; full details may be found here.
  • Members of the Black Project working group have completed their quarterly sweep through the black project articles within the scope of the project; while no black project articles were nominated for deletion in this most recent inspection a request was made by members of the black project working group for feedback concerning sources used in some of the articles checked. Full details of the report and the questioned sources may be found here.
