Love the Leuba article! Work has begun on a large article on the University of Pittsburgh Library System User:Kirkcudbrightshire/sandbox/University of Pittsburgh Library System Resources. Your input would be fantastic. It is a total collaborative effort between a lot of librarians and other interested editors. Here is a ULS page discribing ULS in the news that Kirkcudbrightshire thought would be helpful here. Best Regards,

Hello there, I was going through the DYK nominations page and saw the DYKproblem message on PRR MP70. The above template has to be used on the nominator's talk page and not the DYK nomination page. The tags to be used on the review page are given under the Code column in edit notice. BTW the Pittsburgh Courier is quite informative. -- Skr15081997 ( talk) 12:28, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

Firstly, thanks for creating the Lazarus Averbuch article (I've been working on a draft for a while now). I've done my own research into the case, and I think there is a problem with one of the sources: Averbuch is not buried in Michigan. I've visited his grave, it's at Ridge Lawn Cemetery in Chicago. Here is what I believe to be the correct grave. The lack of of headstone photo makes me suspicious about whether the Michigan grave is really this Averbuch's, not to mention the question of why he'd be buried in the [relative] middle of nowhere. I know of no connection to Michigan, plus the Roth and Strauss book mention him being reburied off of 40th Avenue (now Pulaski Road) in Chicago. It may boil down to a typo: "Jeremiah Averbuch" is buried in "Ridgelawn Cemetery" in Michigan, while "Jerome Averbuch" is buried in "Ridge Lawn Cemetery" in Chicago. I will fix the page (but leave the previous edit, invisible).
On a side note, I also have reason to believe that I have a copy of his and his sister's emigration records if you're interested. Might qualify as OR though... Paris1127 ( talk) 22:36, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
Paris1127, thank you for correcting that! I did think it was strange for him to be buried in Michigan, but I couldn't find that Chicago grave. I think the immigration records are definitely OR, but that sounds very interesting. Where did you find them? MidwestCuttlefish ( talk) 17:14, 25 October 2017 (UTC)

Hello! I'm helping an editor at a local Art+Feminism edit-a-thon in Ann Arbor on a page about a Chicago-based artist, Ellen Roth Deutsch. We've added as many citations as we could, but were hoping you might have access to some local publications that reference her? Would appreciate any help you might be able to contribute. Thank you! -- AnitaConchita ( talk) 00:28, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
Hi @ AnitaConchita: I checked DePaul's resources, but didn't find anything helpful. I did find a couple online sources that, although fairly thin, should add a little bit to the page - Arc Gallery entry, World's Women Online. I also found this preview of the book about Roth Deutsch. I hope that helps! Thanks for helping with Art+Feminism :) MidwestCuttlefish ( talk) 17:15, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

Hello,
I am E. Whittaker, an intern working with the Scoring Team to create a labeled dataset, and potentially a tool, to help editors deal with incivility when they encounter it on talk pages. We are currently recruiting editors to be interviewed about their experiences with incivility on talk pages. Would you be interested in being interviewed? The interviews should take ~1 hour, and will be conducted over BlueJeans (which does allow interviews to be recorded). If, so, please reply to this message or email me at ewhit@umich.edu in order to schedule an interview. .

Hi, the English Wikipedia recently created a new user permission for editors involved in off-wiki outreach work, event coordinator. This new permission allows users to mark accounts for confirmed for up to 10 days, and also allows them to create accounts for events without rate limits without some of the features of the account creator right that aren't used at edit-a-thons and other events. I have added the event coordinator permission to your account and removed the account creator permission, as you appear to have been using it mainly for outreach work.
This should have no noticeable impact on your ability to create accounts, and will give you the extra ability to temporarily confirm accounts if you need to. For more information, you can see the information page on the right, or you can ask me if you have any questions. TonyBallioni ( talk) 19:44, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

Women in Red 8th Anniversary |
In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap! |

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current

Hello. I'm updating the outreach:Wikipedian in Residence. Is it correct for your WiR position? In particular, is there a URL to point to for the work done and are the dates accurate? I've used the current table info to update Cassandra DellaCorte (Q69830899) so that I can automate the WiR table ( in progress). T.Shafee(Evo&Evo) talk 01:13, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
