Given the significance of a number of sporting events this summer, in July and August 2019 Women in Red is devoting two full months to women in sports, not just the competitors, players, teams and clubs but to notable female support staff, coaches, referees, managers and sponsors.
We hope both inexperienced and seasoned editors will join us in creating biographies and other articles about sportswomen, including their achievements, writings, organizations, and awards. This virtual editathon encourages enthusiasts from around the globe to participate. You are of course also welcome to add articles on any other notable women who deserve to be covered, for example under our #1day1woman priority.
