I kinda regret jumping down your throat on the ITN thread where it was discovered you had bluelinked WP:MINIMUMDEATHS to a userspace essay. I admire your intentions, actually. I noticed that a few people recently were intentionally !voting "Oppose per WP:MINIMUMDEATHS" and that was something I found a bit perturbing, so if you created the essay in response to that, great idea. However, to be consistent with essay and userspace guidelines, you really should move that essay into project-space so that it can then be treated as a proper essay rather than as a personal opinion. The community had deleted IntoThinAir's redirect of his "Things that won't get posted to ITN" essay for that reason. I would support your essay's inclusion in project-space.
Actually, I had adapted the content of that essay into my current project-space essay WP:HOWITNWORKS and did momentarily consider seizing the MINIMUMDEATHS redirect for that purpose. So I guess in a way, I feel lapped. :-) Cheers, ⛵ WaltClipper -( talk) 20:16, 20 June 2023 (UTC)

On 21 June 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Norma Hunt, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Norma Hunt, known as the "First Lady of Football", never missed a Super Bowl? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Norma Hunt. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page ( here's how, Norma Hunt), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hello, Fakescientist8000,
I think this was moved prematurely into project space. It's not really an essay, it's a thought or opinion. Considering the time and care of most Wikipedia essays on policies and practices, this page seems like it was just written hurriedly and it needs much more time and work before it can be presented to the community as an essay. Also know that while it is in project space, any editor can change it to reflect their point of view, it's not really yours any more. Just a suggestion. Thanks. Liz Read! 2023 has not been HiLo48's first rodeo with ITN/C. Ten years or so ago, back when WP:RFC/U was still a thing, he was an active participant on ITN/C and was equally loud and uncivil (perhaps more so, I don't remember) about a supposed U.S.-centric systemic bias that existed on ITN/C and how he had never heard of these people/events in Australia and how we'd never do the same nominations for Aussies, etc.. His interactions were so unpleasant that it did eventually lead to an RFC/U about him (which he promptly blew off, again, with all-caps and exclamation points), and then later, a topic ban from ITN/C. It seems like he's back to his old behaviors, but then again, I was no saint back then either. Cheers, ⛵ WaltClipper -( talk) 18:44, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
News and updates for administrators from the past month (June 2023).
Hi,
You have uploaded some non-free images of a living person. Almost all such images are not compliant with Wikipedia's guidelines for non-free content. In particular, it contravenes policy point 1 which covers replaceability. From the guidelines, "Non-free content should not be used when a freely licensed file that serves the same purpose can reasonably be expected to be uploaded, as is the case for almost all portraits of living people." Please don't upload any more non-free images of living people. They will just be deleted. Regards. -- Whpq ( talk) 01:48, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading File:Bailey Zappe 2022 Patriots.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. -- B-bot ( talk) 17:16, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
Hi! I undid an edit you made to Josh Pederson, adding his full name ( here), as you did not include a citation for it and I did not see one supporting that edit in the article. Additionally, I've seen a few of your edits in passing and many do not include citations, especially on articles for biographies of living persons. Just from edits in your most recent 50 contributions, I found your edits to Brandon Aubrey, this edit to Cole Kmet, this edit to Paris Johnson Jr., and this edit to Mack Wilson. Please make sure you include sources when editing articles, especially BLPs. Thanks! Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:35, 7 July 2023 (UTC)

Good day Fake! You recently snow closed this ITN nom without providing your signature. I recommend you provide your signature there so that editors don’t have to dig through the edit history to see who closed the nomination, in case they needed that info. If you don’t want to or don’t think it’s necessary, then don’t. This is a fairly new editor’s suggestion after all! Sincerest well-wishes! An article you recently created,
Diego Fagot, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from
reliable,
independent sources. (
?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (
verifiability is of
central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to
draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's
general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.

The article IV and the Strange Band has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Borderline notability, band has been active for a year and barely any critical notice in reliable sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

Peace is a state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others, where respect is gained by the acceptance of differences, tolerance persists, conflicts are resolved through dialog, people's rights are respected and their voices are heard, and everyone is at their highest point of serenity without social tension. Happy Holidays to you and yours. ― Buster7 ☎

Hello, I'm Daniel Quinlan. Your recent edit to the page Arthur Smith (American football, born 1982) appears to have added premature information about a reported sports transaction, so it has been removed for now. The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. If you believe the transaction has been completed, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Daniel Quinlan ( talk) 06:13, 31 January 2024 (UTC)

The article Fond My Mind has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No sources can be found that discuss the subject with significant coverage that are not self-published sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion. -

After a recent difficult edit to the Philip Galanes page, you replied with encouragement, and invited greater engagement with WP. Given the nature of the edit—it was not "prettifying", but to the contrary, called attention to longstanding issues of sourcing—it was an unusual WP editor response, and I wanted to express thanks to you for it. Your response was one of the most positive and encouraging signs I have seen here in a long time, in offering a thumbs-up to this academician, who with other colleagues and scholars wish to improve the encyclopedia by squarely facing issues as they are encountered. It is often hard to "call it like [we] see it", but we do so because that is what we were trained to do (when we are operate in the areas where we are SMEs). It is a reassuring experience—among the most reassuring in 20 yrs of editing here—that I have received. Cheers to you. 73.110.36.118 ( talk) 16:34, 19 April 2024 (UTC)

Hi,
You have uploaded some non-free images of a living person.

Just from edits in your most recent 50 contributions, I found your edits to Brandon Aubrey, this edit to Cole Kmet, this edit to Paris Johnson Jr., and this edit to Mack Wilson. An article you recently created,
Diego Fagot, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from
reliable,
independent sources. (
?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (
verifiability is of
central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to
draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.

Thanks for your contributions to Michael Woods (executive). Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability and the only reference is a passing mention and lacks in-depth sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. JoeNMLC ( talk) 00:17, 10 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Hameltion. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hameltion ( talk | contribs) 18:09, 15 June 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for improving article quality in June! - Today we have a centenarian story (documentation about it by Percy Adlon) and an article that had two sentences yesterday and was up for deletion, and needs a few more citations. -- Gerda Arendt ( talk) 21:02, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
