Hi! I made a page a while ago, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev. I was recently updating it a while ago and noticed it doesn't have a points/goals chart. I was looking on some pages to see how to make them and it looked like NASA to me. Can someone make one, as I feel it would mighty improve the page. Hi, I've been trying to get a page approved. It got rejected once and I resubmitted it 26 days ago but it's still in the waiting queue I hope? I've never edited on Wikipedia before so don't know if I've done things correctly, just wanted confirmation it was going to be reviewed by an editor at some stage. Hi, I am hoping to get my first article ever approved for inclusion on Wikipedia. /info/en/?search=Draft:M._Jenea_Sanchez It was rejected once, and I cannot tell if it was just because of citations. I revised the text to include a citation for almost every sentence, but I don't know if that's enough!
If someone could take a look and advise before I risk getting rejected again, that would be wonderful. Thanks for your help and guidance!
PS: I was more active on Wikipedia when I was in graduate school the first time (over 10 years ago), and now am active (to a degree) again but have changed areas of specialization. Hi everyone, I came across this page: Bloomington, Wisconsin and discovered the section about notable people has been removed several times by several IP users, and reverted by multiple users in an effort to restore the page. Possible edit war. That particular section has only one notable person, Christy Oates; it has a source, but it is not reliable and it leads to Oates' Smithsonian profile page. The problem is that the "notable person" does not appear to be notable anyway, but actually has a wiki article. The article appears to only have primary sources, not at all reliable, and one interview. It would seem that she's not notable enough to be included in the Bloomington, WI article, and the Oates article may be a good candidate for AfD. What do you suggest? Coryphantha Talk 03:44, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
Is it possible and acceptable to replace an existing article with one written about the same person (deceased and distinguished poet, in this case) which is far more extensive? For example, the replacement will includes full biography of that poet, full list of his publications, full list of awards he received, references, links, Hyperlinks etc. - all are missing in the existing article?
If so - how best to carry out such replacement?
Your advice will be appreciated Merchav1 ( talk) 19:26, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

In this unusual situation--(I cannot recall anything similar in my 14 years here), the content the subjectmight write is not substantially more coi than what is already in place, so, Aranthema, please edit the page as you see fit. When ready, let me know on my talk page, and I will look at it. There is no guarantee I, or any other reviewer, will accept it, and I remind you, that even it is accepted, anyone may challenge the article at AfD, and the consensus of the community decides. You've been given different advice above; you do have the right to edit the page directly in any case, even according to those who advise you not to. I want to expand and reference an article Mace (spray), and I have a question about the naming of a ref (citation). The ref name is ":0"; is this some convention I don't know? I would like more useful reference names, like an abbreviation of the source, author, or type of article, for examples. I looked at other articles and these seem common. Thanks ColinFine for looking again. A few questions, if you would... 1] You are saying that Arianna Huffington's publication Thrive Global, which Wikipedia describes as "an American company that provides behavior change technology etc.," is an unacceptable source? Is this accurate? Can this be changed? Can I prove these articles are not spam? 2] Re: the NPR "interview,"I am referencing the interviewer's comments, not Gold's... The interviewer herself is a secondary source, no? She appears to already have known the info about Gold that I am referencing. It was not revealed in/by the interview. Is this incorrect reasoning? I have found several other interviews by people who know him and say things about him. This is all inadmissible? Are you saying my sources must be tertiary? 3] re: FortWorth news link, I don't have the archived link yet. I have seen a xeroxed clipping, but may not be able to get online version. What to do? Delete? 4] Books, unfortunately, it seems to me, are on their way out of our lives. How will one reference secondary sources if not partially via online media...interviews, youtube videos, and so forth? 5] I've spent hours and hours comparing other BLPs... I see that the rules are often stretched. Just came across one with 11 of the 15 reference from subject's web page, and 2 identical from encyclopedia.com. If somebody writes Gold into an online encyclopedia tomorrow, can I use that as a source? You understand my frustration no doubt. Should I take out Bio, or nonprofit, or teaching sections?... just leave books? I appreciate your time and attention. Can/Should I paste to others on the Afd page? Is that a place I can ask about my issues, or just for the administrators/voters? Onganymede ( talk) 10:07, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

331dot ( talk) thank you for help, I don't think I can write it using the reliable sources then, as I would still have the connection, I have published websites, where I have detailed the history, so if some unconnected historian or author were to use those and the books and magazines I've cited to create an article I guess that would be the answer. my article clearly won't be approved so I will save it for my reference and close the account, do you think it is even worth bothering to submit the draft or will I just be creating work for someone? Our town in Australia , NSW , Gwydir Shire Council 2402 have started to post council meeting recorded onto your site . claimed as being democratic . But the other day when I found them and listened to them , I reported some concerns with statements made during the meeting . Now this seems to have been removed and others can't hear the same comments , is this correct for them to remove sections and yet claim its being done to comply with the democratic ideal .
It's all new stuff here , but should they be able to remove information .
Thanks for any helpful information , its better we can at lest hear these parts .

Hi there, the article I am working on for a Wikipedia Education class - Commercial Radio Australia, has just received a notification of a "cite error" at the bottom of the page, saying that two references are not used in the content. I am confused as to how this is the case - as both references are used in the article. Could someone help me with how to address/eliminate these?
I have also noticed that this Wikipedia page is flagged as having an "unclear citation style". This flag appeared before I cleaned up the notes and references sections. I have since polished the references to ensure there is a clear citation style - is there a way in which I can remove this template?

Is it appropriate to put a picture of a notable person (who has his own Wikipedia page) on other pages which are relevant to that person? For instance, in the case of Rodney Atkins, the country musician, I put a photo of him on two schools that he attended where his name is mentioned as a notable alumnus: Walters State Community College and Tennessee Technological University; plus on his hometown of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee; but another editor, AppalachianCentrist removed those pictures. Please tell me what the policy is for placing pictures in such cases, because I have seen many pages where notable alumni or people from a small town who became well-known, do have their photos on those related pages. (This is the first time I have used the teahouse.) Hi there, you dont know me and I dont know you, but I'm currently involved in an edit war on the article British Columbia, I put a fact on there about the capital of BC, so I wrote that Victoria is on Vancouver Island, which is completely true. An administrator rejects my contribution and reverts it. He also emails an administrator on his talkpage regarding another one of my problematic edits on Donald Trump, I put it back up there (the fact about Victoria) when I noticed what he had done, so i wrote it again, a different admin reverts it. I dont want to get banned for edit-warring, and I have no idea why two admins would revert my edits on BC. If any of you guys could help me with this problem I would be extremely grateful. Thanks

Hi. If anyone wants to take a look, a lot of our articles for numbers (ex. 20 (number)) are loaded with trivia sections pertaining to their usage in popular culture (like music, sports teams, and overall non-mathematic and irrelevant topics). Almost all of these are trivial things like a certain sports team containing a certain number of players (seriously?) or an album being named after a number. It's basically just an incorporation of the disambiguation page into the article, which is really redundant since we already link the disambig at the top of the article for readers to find different topics; we don't need repeats. Not helping is the fact that a majority of this information is unsourced.
There's also sections dedicated to certain privileges attainable at certain ages. Those might be helpful as we don't have certain articles for the ages (ex. "20 (age)", but then again there's nothing much to say about being a certain age and we already have separate articles denoting the various age spans from birth to old age), but they also suffer from the same problem of uncited statements, and we already mention these facts in the articles for the various stages of aging.
That said, is it really necessary to dedicate whole sections in number articles to its trivial details in culture? I think only stuff about the numbers' impact in mathematics and the history behind said numbers should be documented. Bearswitch ( talk) 19:20, 7 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I would like to edit the Parler article (specifically the "useage" section) to reflect Facebook and Twitters growth in their first 2 years of operation. This would be to provide contrast for Parler's performance since their founding and would provide fair and balanced projections to future investors and users.
How would I go about doing this? I have done the research and most of it is posted on the respected wiki articles about the history of facebook and twitter.

Hi there... "it would be quite improper to talk about another company's performance in an article" Yes that is quite ironic because that is all the "usage" section on the Parler article I am referring to does, all that it talks about is Facebook and Twitters performance lol, so you see the irony? In fact reading the "usage" section prompted me to my investigation of the first two years performance of Facebook and Twitter.
Thank you both for your help, I will research further and see what I can accomplish.

I've just spent most of today trying to add an Episode section to the article Judge Roy Bean. I've added episodes to other TV series articles, but today I kept getting formatting messes, and finally ended up with something that wasn't horrible. But there are two mistakes.
When viewing the article there are two }} at the beginning of the section, and I can't figure out why. Also, the References title was appearing before the Episodes, so I deleted ==References== temporarily, planning on putting it back in once I got the Episodes straightened out, but now I can't figure out how to put it back into the article so that it appears in the proper place.
Right now I can't think straight, so could some kind soul go to Judge Roy Bean and fix my mistakes for me. Thank you in advance for correcting my problems. Karenthewriter ( talk) 00:26, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello Wikipedia Editors! I am new to this so please excuse anything odd I do here. (And polite advice correcting my behaviour is welcomed!)
I created a DRAFT Article on Warren Zevon's song 'Accidentally Like Martyr'. I did this because on the main Warren Zevon article there is a list of five song in the opening paragraph: "Poor Poor Pitiful Me", "Accidentally Like a Martyr", "Mohammed's Radio", "Carmelita", and "Hasten Down the Wind". All of these songs except "Accidentally Like a Martyr" have separate articles. I felt possibly it should also have a separate article -- but I'm still new at determining notability. So I wrote of the draft. In doing so I found significant references from different sources. The article was rejected for lack of notability by a very knowledgeable editor (WP.NSONG)
So my question is: Should I work to improve the support for the draft article or should I forget it and move along to something else?

Hi All! I'm unsure how to deal with this. The BLP article at Mitch Craft has been heavily edited today by one or more IP editors (the IPv6 addresses are very similar but not identical), mostly without citing any sources. I was going to revert it all back to the last edit before today (from Feb 2018), but that was also pretty poorly referenced; in fact, the article has had the BLP refimprove tag on since 2014. I then thought of proposing it for AfD on notability grounds, but I couldn't work out whether it satisfies WP:NGRIDIRON or not. Any advice welcome. 16:34, 9 November 2020 (UTC) Having said that, and though mileage may vary, there is inevitably a significant time commitment required to meet ones own requirement of due diligence before going to AfD – time one may not wish to expend – for a "deep" dive into looking for sources in order to be able to say in sum and substance "I've looked widely, and, despite meeting X SSNG criterion, the sources don't appear to exist [so delete]"; knowing how to do that dive (where to look for sourcing) is generally a matter of long experience, and subject to familiarity in a topic category, which for this topic, you've already indicated you don't have. I was asked to write up a short bio to create a scientist's Wikipedia page and was surprised to discover that in order to put that page up, I have to do 10 edits on something first. Is this correct? I really don't know where to begin. Can someone please explain the steps involved in that? I'm not an authority on any particular subject, so what should I do? Or am I to find articles that might need some grammatical or spelling changes and make them? How do I find such articles? Am happy to make whatever necessary edits I can, I just don't really understand what is being asked. Please inform. Thank you. Scientrep ( talk) 02:30, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi All -
I am looking to upload the logo for the organization Heritage Radio Network. I have search for, and found, variations on this question asked many times, and the responses often include an overwhelming amount of information on fair use, etc. This seems to be a clear case of uploading non-free content criteria per the discussion on wikipedia:logos. Can anyone point me to where, exactly, one goes to upload such an item? Or if there are step by step directions for uploading such an image, that would be similarly helpful.
Thank you, Heritage Radio Network ( talk) 16:31, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
I am a first time Wikipedia user. I would like to write an initial Wikipedia article about an ancestor of mine (Capt. Baylor Hill) who fought in the American Revolution. He is my 5th great uncle. I will mention in the text of the article that William J. Longan, Jr. (myself) represents Capt. Baylor Hill in The Society of the Cincinnati which is a hereditary organization honoring Revolutionary War officers. In the process of setting up the page, there is a question asking if I am writing an article about myself. I'm not sure how to respond to this. Thank you.

Hello Wikipedia! I'm a new user here, and I'm still in the midst of figuring out how things work. I created a new article draft in my user sandbox today, and I tried to submit it for review. I'm not sure if I did everything correctly, can somebody take a look? In particular, Wikipedia is telling me about a 'Draft' namespace - I'm worried that my page won't be found, if it remains in the sandbox!
If there is any editor who has time to review my article, I would be very grateful for you to take a look. Thank you very much! CygnetRiver ( talk) 17:54, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

I am very new to this so I am not sure I am understanding what I need to do. I believe it was because I had a link back to a press release on our website. Thank you for all the replies to my earlier question. To reply to Colin, thank you for the article suggestion. I did read it and can assure you that this is neutral article written strictly to create a profile, and yes he has been covered in several publications and media prior to this. My question still remains that I don't understand how to begin the 10 edits. I am not an authority on any particular subject so I don't feel I have anything to add to any existing article. What is meant by "edit" exactly? Am I to search for grammatical mistakes, etc and correct them? How do I go about finding articles that need editing? If you know of articles that need help, I'd be happy to edit them, as I do that for a living, I'm just confused as to what is required here. Please inform. Thank you. I was updating some information on the page for Marcus Wesson, a multiple murderer in California, and I noticed that one of the categories that had been assigned to this page is 'African American military personnel'. While I suppose that is technically true - he served two years in the Army during Vietnam - he does not seem to match the spirit of other individuals placed in this category (as a rapist and murderer). I am new to editing, so I wanted to check about the nature of this cateogry before I went and removed it from the page. GranactiveRetinoid ( talk) 22:04, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

Some of the well-known Charlie Hebdo cartoons of Muhammad from years ago are available on Wikipedia and some are deployed in useful ways in articles. However, some of the most pertinent images are not available, including the ones of direct relevance in the beheading of Samuel Paty last month in Paris, and the subsequent furore and diplomatic spat over free speech, Islamism, blasphemy, etc. It would be useful to use a "fair use" upload of the cartoons labelled Une étoile est née, since it was these that attracted the killer's ire when the victim, a teacher, used them in a lesson on history and free speech. Hello,
I spent a good deal of time researching a subject I find important to let the world know about. As the Business Model Canvas, the COS Model can make a difference for managers and business students who are looking for means to deal with customer loyalty and retention. His work is used as textbook in major business schools, like Tec de Monterrey's EGADE, in subjects such as Marketing or Service Management.
There's a lot of bad advice out there; I found an author whose ideas and proposals are simple and effective, but according to one (or many, I'm not sure) or you, I was writing something like a commercial.
I got my doctoral degree by abiding to serious research, checking sources and respecting others' copyrights. If this is what collaborating with Wikipedia, I won't be part of it.
Thank you, and farewell,

Greetings,
so I'm back after a hiatus from Wikipedia. Now I feel motivated to write some new articles (or to actually finish up my old drafts *cough*), but something struck me: Linkrot. I already stumbled over several dead links while trying to improve articles, and not always could I restore them because only some got archived. Now if I write my own articles, they will likely suffer from the same issue at some point!
So my main question is: Can I tell the Internet Archive to actively archive pages I am using for an article? That would make it depend less on luck whether the links remain stable over time. And if yes, can someone point me to how to do this?
Another, minor and unrelated question (should I have made another question entry for that?): I have just fixed some inter-language-links to show up properly ( [15]), so it does not give the impression that the article was available in English, and so it properly generates redlinks. That's not the first time I've come across this, and I was wondering if it could be found/fixed automatically maybe? I know several bots are running around here, but I'm not that good on the technical side of things. It just seems like the syntax for these errors is quite clear. If there is a tool to spot these automatically, can someone point me to it?
Syntactically yours, LordPeterII ( talk) 15:56, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

Can I just re-edit it? Or could some editor kindly merge it somewhere. Does it violate any policies if I did? It's a very short and very simple 10 line proof. My only purpose is enlightenment about facts. You have the right to know simple and basic scientific facts. Howdy, so I've two quick questions: First off, I have the character "|" (not capital i, but this upright stroke thingy) in a source's title. For obvious reasons, I can't include it in my reference under "|title=", but I can't find any escape characters to allow it to display anyway. I could certainly also change the title, but I'd prefer to keep it original as otherwise I'd be changing information for no good reason.
Second, I am trying to write my first living person biography atm (about d:Q1594966), and am looking at her birth date: This is tricky, because it is quoted as being "10 May 1975" in Wikidata imported from 3 (!) different sources, although some of them don't seem to be very authoritative. A precise look, however, yields that the most authoritative of these sources only states the year, 1975, and not the month and date (as would be assumed from the wikidata entry). Much worse yet, her OWN website states that she was born "May 1969" - why would she lie about her own age, especially if it makes her 6 years older? The German Wikipedia article for her also states "10 May 1969" - but referencing it from her website, which does NOT state the day, only the month! So... what am I supposed to do here? Don't wanna mess up a WP:BLP here...
So, if I would go by the date that makes most sense to me, "May 1969", I could still not use {{birth date and age}} because I lack the day in infobox person, and omitting the month to be able to use {{birth year and age}} feels like omitting information for no good reason. Is there any way to display only month and year? LordPeterII ( talk) 13:26, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

I sent many times edit requests (as the page is semi protected) to add this missing parts to the article (In the first part of the page that mentions the summary & the highlights of her career , it ends with In February 2019, she won the inaugural WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with her former tag team partner, Bayley (then known as The Boss 'n' Hug Connection), at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view , an update is needed & that's to add after her inaugral Tag Team Championship win in 2019 that she won the Smackdown Women's Championship at Hell in a Cell 2020 & that made her a triple crown & grand slam champion & also it doesn't mention her total number of Women's Championship reigns (in both singles (7) & tag (2)), also this part of the page /info/en/?search=Sasha_Banks#External_links includes the following part Links to related articles that includes many lists (WWE personnel , WWE Raw Women's Champions , WWE Women's Tag Team Champions , NXT Women's Champions , Grand Slam and Triple Crown champions) but missing this list (WWE SmackDown Women's Champions) that is added in all of the former champions pages & not added to the aforementioned lists in this part of her page despite her being the current champion & here is the link of this missed list /info/en/?search=List_of_WWE_SmackDown_Women%27s_Champions#External_links) instead of adding this missing parts they answer me with the same reply each time it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate , as you see that what I mentioned above is so obvious & it doesn't always have to be to correct something wrong in the article (x) to(y), in some cases what is needed is to add important missing information to the appropriate parts of the article for the article to be complete & I provided them with a reliable source but they ignore it https://www.wwe.com/superstars/sasha-banks 197.46.25.114 ( talk) 19:38, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

I am a university student currently working on the stub Commercial Radio Australia for a Wikipedia education class. My tutor is Carrolquadrio. I am in the process of uploading media and have found two files on Trove that I would like to upload. The sources are images of articles on the Wireless Telegraphy Act and the Joint Broadcasting Committee. The first work is original work of the Australian Federal Government, and the second is a newspaper article from 1942. I have gone through the Wikimedia Wizard, and there is no option for me to select 'original work of the Australian Federal Government', and as such, the Wizard is "unable to determine whether this file is suitable for Commons". Would someone be able to help me with this? Thanks -- SM9237 ( talk) 07:58, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
{{

, and the newspaper article is {{

. But frankly, if I were an editor on the article, I would oppose their addition. For it sounds to me that your use is just to decorate the article with media/images. They would appear in the article as illegible thumbnails, and at least as far as the newspaper is concerned, even at full resolution it is barely legible on my computer. —

Hello Everybody My Name is Adarsh Anshuman and I created a article regarding Indians in Bhutan, I have a reference with regard to all the claims I have made, I have accessed the UN Official Data for Immigrants in Bhutan, but unfortunately I could not add It, because I am not that good in adding reference links. So could somebody please add a reference. UN Migrant Stock by Origin and Destination. Could somebody also please edit my page and add 7.0% as the total population of Indian Immigrants in Bhutan. I will be glad If somebody can add these references and the 7.0% total population figure, so that my page can have a decent reference and my page can be approved. With Regards Adarsh Anshuman. Hi Wiki editors! I am working on submitting a draft page and I have reviewed the citation styles and I believe I have added them in the correct format and updated the draft page. That said, I can't seem to figure out how to remove 1-14 now. See Draft:The Friedkin Group for the page I'm discussing. I think it's because they are still referenced in line (within the text) so now it's as if they are doubled up but I'm unsure how to delete or fix because I still want the citations to point to somewhere. Is there a place I can reference to understand how to make the in line citations match up to the reference list? I hope that makes sense and would appreciate any further guidance so I can continue to clean up the submission! Thank you! LucyArn ( talk) 17:16, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

So I've been looking at this mess of an article ( Matthew Kulke) for a while now, trying to think of ways to fix it. I realize potentially one of the best ways would be to start by using some kind of template (not the Multiple issues kind) to structure it like an article, then add some links and references, but I'm not sure of the "correct" structuring of a biography. What is the criteria for adding a picture to an article? I would like to add a picture to Cignature's info box but I've noticed on a lot of articles, the info box pictures are taken by others from afar and are somewhat blurry, instead of being a more professional looking picture taken by people close (both physically and affiliation wise) to the people in the picture. Are more professional pictures not allowed? Hihelloitisi ( talk) 17:56, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
For these reasons, the only usable images available to us for many subjects are either professional images that have been intentionally reduced in quality, or (especially with respect to living people), photos taken in person by Wikipedia/Wikimedia users, who then agree to release their copyright—either into the public domain or, more commonly, under a suitably-free copyright license (such photos are usually and properly then uploaded to our sister project, the Wikimedia Commons rather than to Wikipedia)—as opposed to the professional produced but non-free images you will see at many other websites. I hope that adequately explains why you may encounter so many pictures here of less than professional quality. Best regards-- Fuhghettaboutit ( talk) 18:14, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi everyone, I have recently submitted an article for review. At the bottom it says I should move it into the "draft space" but when I tried to get more clarity I read somewhere that an experienced reviewer will do this for me?
Any help greatly appreciated. Apologies if this question has come up a million times before Caroly1970 ( talk) 15:27, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

I'd like to increase the font size when editing. I tried to follow the instructions at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Editing/Projects/Font_size_in_the_editing_window#Choose_your_own_font_size, creating /info/en/?search=User:Karlberry/common.css (but with a larger number). I tried to bypass the browser cache (reload, log out/log in, restart browser). But the css has no apparent effect. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

I searched for something "WP:" to explain this, but was unable to find an explanation.
I can read the answer here. Thank you to anyone who can explain this. Matternotdissent ( talk) 13:20, 4 November 2020
name="Foo"
was interpreted as different from name=Foo
under some circumstances. I don't recall the details or whether it was fixed. I believe it is recommended to always quote HTML attribute values. It's certainly more future-proof (i.e. protects against someone changing the value to something with a space in it and forgetting to add the quotes. —[

23:08, 31 October 2020 (UTC)Thanks ColinFine for the navigation tip and fixing my placement! I've cut out everything I once held dear [kidding], addressed COI on my talk page, and added new refs. Would you mind taking another quick look and offering direction? Onganymede ( talk) 05:06, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

My account is many years old and I have made many edits, but my activity has been sporadic. (I have gone years between edits occasionally.) Is there some way to find out why my account is not autoconfirmed? Thanks! Apollo reactor ( talk) 18:48, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

I have done the research and most of it is posted on the respected wiki articles about the history of facebook and twitter.
thank you 172.58.188.12 ( talk) 16:34, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
Hello again, I am not a puppet or a robot, I use my cellphone right now but I can create an account if I have to? It is understandable that my question might offend you as wiki articles and its users are known for bias, but none the less it is a legit question and I would like to know what I needed to to to have said contrasted information added to the Parler article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.58.188.12 ( talk) 17:02, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

I wanted to create a page for Shako a game that I invented 30 years ago and which is cited in several books, developed on some apps and played online. I did it with 1) exposing my conflict of interest and asking help of a more neutral person, 2) using parts (not all) of the text I had written on my own web site. 24h after posting my draft I've got a very unpleasant message asking for deletion for copyright infringement.

I'm not sure how to go about this though. GPinkerton ( talk) 06:50, 11 November 2020 (UTC) GPinkerton ( talk) 06:50, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

If I remember correctly, a while ago there was on of those template things at the top of the page that was something along the lines of, "This is article is written like a story" or something, anyways I need something like that, except more documentary-ish. Hello,
I spent a good deal of time researching a subject I find important to let the world know about.

I have written a very short (and very easy) maths proof about some absurd prime factoring algorithms recently proposed in arxiv.org, in order to show how absurd they are in the 'factorization' talk page so i can enlighten the wikipedia editors and wikipedia readers, which was deleted in the same day.
Can I just re-edit it? Or could some editor kindly merge it somewhere. Does it violate any policies if I did? It's a very short and very simple 10 line proof. My only purpose is enlightenment about facts. You have the right to know simple and basic scientific facts. Unfortunately, my naive impression is that the wikipedia community really hates facts from the bottom. Aquahabitant ( talk) 10:51, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

Yes adding every vector for every bit of mass surrounding the gravity sensor will require summing all forces and directions using integral calculus, but yes drilling deep into the Earth will change the gravity measured.

So I was clicking through "random article" and stumbled upon Lida Fleitmann Bloodgood, which I believe may be an orphan. Apart from the redirects and my sandbox, the only page that links to it is Piping Rock Club which uses it in one of the references, does this count? Hey guys, I'm currently editing the stub and i am confused as to whether the title of the stub " Europe, the Middle East and Africa" relates broadly to the continents and their relationship with one another (that is, anything on the continents can be included in the article) or whether it is confined to "EMEA" (industry specific term). Can someone please give me some direction? Mazz2129 ( talk) 10:57, 12 November 2020 (UTC) Mazz2129 ( talk) 10:57, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
Hi. I just wrote and made the whole soundtrack for the page on Skate 3. My question is, should I do it for more video games? It does take quite a while to do, and I don't just want to spend an hour or so doing it and then, 15 minutes later, get it removed for "being an excessive dump of information". Thanks! Hello, Teahouse. :-)
I'm having a problem with userboxes on my user page. At the time of writing, you can see the result of this live at User:SeparateTitan92.
When trying to insert a number of userboxes one on top of another, they form a strange kind of staircase pattern. Is this a problem that others see too or just me and, if it is visible to others, how do I solve this?
Thanks and have a nice day. SeparateTitan92 ( talk) 16:54, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

I mostly like to edit articles about older movies-- updating and expanding the information. I have not been able to find the instructions for how to link something to another article in Wikipedia. For instance, if the movie has Shirley Temple in the cast, I would like to add a link to the article about Shirley Temple-- can anyone give me step by step for a complete beginner of how to do that? So I've been looking at this mess of an article ( Matthew Kulke) for a while now, trying to think of ways to fix it. I realize potentially one of the best ways would be to start by using some kind of template (not the Multiple issues kind) to structure it like an article, then add some links and references, but I'm not sure of the "correct" structuring of a biography. If someone could point me in the right direction (or left) with a link that would be great! SnazzyInfinity - Chat? 14:42, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for all the information Fuhghettaboutit! As for the picture I had this in mind, but now I suppose it would be a problematic choice given the cropped out logo in the bottom right. Hihelloitisi ( talk) 21:42, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

I work with renowned rock photographer James Fortune, and he asked about Wikipedia. He has two websites jamesfortunephotography.com and james-fortune-archive.com His work is in the Smithsonian, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in many rock books and on CD covers by artists such as Jimmy Page and others. A photo of his of John Bonham was used for Bonham's statue in England. There are numerous articles written about him, and his work has appeared in major publications all over the world. I think he would be a good subject for a Wikipedia article. Brookesaunders ( talk) 21:36, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
