Hi Canley, Can I have some advice please? I've only started 2 articles and am confused with both. The first, Orange Sky Laundry still has my draft in my user space ( User:JennyOz/sandbox/Draft1). I'm thinking I need to add the db-author template to it somewhere?
The second is Rhiannan Iffland. I moved it to main space on 24 Dec. I think it is yet to be reviewed (I have not received any notification that it has been) and I'm not sure if I broke something. I nominated it at DYK, and the hook has just been reviewed (see article's talk page) but I suspect the hook reviewer, not being an admin (?) cannot see that the article is un-reviewed/patrolled? Thanks for any help with my confusion. JennyOz ( talk) 03:04, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

I am seeking independent and neutral viewpoints on the article ThoughtAudio, which is being considered for deletion. If you have a few minutes to review it, I would appreciate your article contributions and opinion on the decision as to whether it merits being retained and improved, or deleted. ThoughtAudio was targeted by the same editor that made a failed attempt to delete the wikiquote article Michael Scott Gallegos. There are only 3 reviews/votes so far. I am hoping that a minority viewpoint as to the worthiness of the article will not prevail. My work is mainly in the creation of new wikiquote articles @ ELApro and time is rarely spent in unproductive controversy. I am a long time editor for Wikipedia, but have not created many articles here. I would much appreciate your advice and/or contributions with regard to the process. Saw your recent edits to Harry Edwards (Australian politician) and others. I had absolutely no idea about this. Is it new, or has it just completely flown over my head all these years? I'm not sure I entirely agree with it, given there are so many possible diminutives of most names, not to mention distinguishing between diminutives and other nicknames seems like a fuzzy line to draw. I'm afraid there will be literally hundreds of pages I've created and edited in violation of this. Frickeg ( talk) 01:19, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thankyou for your participation in the challenge series or/and contests. In November The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There will be over $4000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. If this would appeal to you and you think you'd be interested in contributing new articles on women during this month for your region or wherever please sign up in the participants section. The articles done may also count towards the ongoing challenge. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate and raise money to buy books about women for others to use, this is also fine. Help would also be appreciated in drawing up the lists of missing articles. If you think of any missing articles please add them to the sub lists by continent at Missing articles. Hello, Canley. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for the clarification re: Gladstone - I knew it would have come from somewhere but couldn't figure out where that might be.
As for 1990: all of that was originally from Psephos so it is very possible that there was an error there - in fact I see that you are unquestionably right about groups C (Enviro Inds) and D, which I missed completely at the time. [2] I don't think I can help with Grey Power, though. There aren't any votes missing from the total (Psephos matches APH here), so I would say it's unlikely unless one of the independent groups is actually Grey Power (Psephos never lists micro-parties, frustratingly). Both are led by serial candidates: Ron Alford was usually an independent who once ran for Democrats splinter group the Unite Australia Party, while Barry Weedon went all the way from a DLP candidate in the 70s to a One Nation one in the early 2000s. Also possible that GP might be in ungrouped, but I don't have a source to confirm. Frickeg ( talk) 09:26, 13 February 2018 (UTC)

Hello. Good work on all the election stuff, but I was wondering why you were creating separate articles for constituency election results (e.g. Electoral results for the district of King (South Australia)), rather than including them in the article on the constituency itself? Everywhere else I've seen constituency articles, the results have been included in them (e.g. Niigata 1st district, Berlin Charlottenburg – Wilmersdorf or Ipswich (UK Parliament constituency)). Would it be better to combine them and have the info in one place? Cheers, Number 5 7 19:52, 30 March 2018 (UTC)

Assistance at Wentworth by-election, 2018 would be appreciated. Timeshift ( talk) 11:02, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
Could you move the results table to a separate template, eg: /info/en/?search=Template:Wentworth_by-election,_2018 and replace the in-article table with { { Wentworth by-election, 2018 } } so that the non-controversial but frequently changing results can continue to be updated during the article lock? Timeshift ( talk) 11:02, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
Please do! Those pages are based on the gigantic set of UK-based pages, but I never got around to making them mainspace-ready. Most of them haven't been updated in a while either (except the by-elections one which is comparatively easy to maintain and I usually top that one up at the end of each cycle). Feel free to make all the additions/changes/reorganisations you like! Frickeg ( talk) 04:11, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for all the work you've done updating this, but I'm noticing some problems with ticket order here - e.g. in Western Metropolitan the winnable-seat Labor candidates were marked as being way down the ticket. Hello, Canley. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
I'll be damned if I can remember which election article(s) I saw it in, but do you recall some election infoboxes where not only did the parties have listed the number of seats at a) last election and b) current seats, but additionally c) current seats post-redistribution/pre-election seats? "Seats needed" means nothing if it doesn't take in to account the redistribution. Timeshift ( talk) 06:51, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
(Based on your previous advice) ... according to hovering over the question marks at https://tallyroom.aec.gov.au/HouseDivisionPage-22844-152.htm it still says results are not final. Why do you say otherwise? Timeshift ( talk) 16:45, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Wow, good work on getting the results tables out. I've noticed an issue with Geelong (Ind. Darryn Lyons doesn't have a primary vote), Melbourne (says it's a Greens gain from Labor), Shepparton (says it's an Independent gain from National), Melton and South-West Coast (the Independents aren't showing up), and Pascoe Vale (same problem as Geelong),
Also, once the preferences have been distributed from Monday to Wednesday, you might want to keep an eye on Footscray, Benambra, Ovens Valley, Prahran and Werribee for their 2CP. Kirsdarke01 ( talk) 01:59, 2 December 2018 (UTC)

This message was sent to all administrators following a recent motion. Thank you for your attention. For the Arbitration Committee, Cameron11598 02:28, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
ArbCom would like to apologise and correct our previous mass message in light of the response from the community.
Since November 2018, six administrator accounts have been compromised and temporarily desysopped. In an effort to help improve account security, our intention was to remind administrators of existing policies on account security — that they are required to "have strong passwords and follow appropriate personal security practices." We have updated our procedures to ensure that we enforce these policies more strictly in the future. The policies themselves have not changed. In particular, two-factor authentication remains an optional means of adding extra security to your account. The choice not to enable 2FA will not be considered when deciding to restore sysop privileges to administrator accounts that were compromised.
We are sorry for the wording of our previous message, which did not accurately convey this, and deeply regret the tone in which it was delivered.
For the Arbitration Committee, - Cameron11598 21:03, 4 May 2019 (UTC)

the committee will review all available information to determine whether the administrator followed "appropriate personal security practices" before restoring permissions; administrators found failing to have adequately done so
will not be resysopped automatically. All current administrators have been notified of this change.

I nominated it at DYK, and the hook has just been reviewed (see article's talk page) but I suspect the hook reviewer, not being an admin (?) cannot see that the article is un-reviewed/patrolled? We noticed though that when you edited Albert Field, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Durrington ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
