Podosinovsky District ( Russian: Подоси́новский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [5] district ( raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 4,265 square kilometers (1,647 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Podosinovets. [1] Population: 17,009 ( 2010 Russian census); [3] 21,649 ( 2002 Census); [7] 25,559 ( 1989 Soviet census). [8] The population of Podosinovets accounts for 23.7% of the district's total population. [3]
