Yuryansky District ( Russian: Юрья́нский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [5] district ( raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,031 square kilometers (1,170 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Yurya. [1] Population: 20,128 ( 2010 Russian census); [3] 22,893 ( 2002 Census); [7] 34,311 ( 1989 Soviet census). [8] The population of Yurya accounts for 28.2% of the district's total population. [3]
