Arbazhsky District ( Russian: Арба́жский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [4] district ( raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,416 square kilometers (547 sq mi).[ citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Arbazh. [1] Population: 7,328 ( 2010 Russian census); [2] 9,647 ( 2002 Census); [6] 11,933 ( 1989 Soviet census). [7] The population of Arbazh accounts for 48.6% of the district's total population. [2]
