To improve Wikipedia's coverage of the Netherlands by creating, expanding, and maintaining such articles.
To provide guidelines and recommendations for articles that describe all aspects of the Netherlands.
To help new Dutch editors learn the ropes of Wikipedia.
To serve as a central point of discussion for issues related to the Netherlands in Wikipedia.
Our scope
The Netherlands Wikiproject generally considers any article related to the Netherlands as a valid topic. Having said that, we shall try to include all such articles in the
Category:Netherlands.
What you can do
You can create and improve content within the scope of this project.
The Assessment department focusses on assessing the quality of Wikipedia's Netherlands related articles.
This will aid us in recognising excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work.
Everyone can help in assessing articles.
Assessing an article in easy steps
Determine which article you want to assess. This may be any Netherlands article you notice, an
unassessed article or an
article with a specific assessment request. Please do not assess articles that you yourself have been a major editor on, as it is likely you will be biased.
Have a thorough look at the article and relate it to the criteria from the
grading scheme to determine which class to assign.
Stub, Start, C, and B class assessments can be made by every editor
Good Article (GA) and Featured Article (FA) assessments require formal review procedures in the larger Wikipedia community (outside the project).
Edit the talk page of the article add the "|class=???" section within the brackets of the Netherlands template: {{WikiProject Netherlands|class=??? (other tags may exist like this "|xxxx|yyyy")}}
Instead of the "???" fill in your assessment (Stub, Start, or B (or in special cases GA, or FA).
Write a brief edit summary.
Translation
If you come across a Dutch source that holds essential information you should know that reliable Dutch sources are just as reliable as reliable English sources. In other words, you can use the source.
If you are not sure about the content of a Dutch language source you can post a link to the source with our
Translation department.
To join WikiProject Netherlands, edit this section and add the
Wikitext#{{subst:me}} with your areas of interest to the bottom of the following list of members. Members should also place
