- Fair question. In principle diffusing by Las Vegas Valley does not make a lot of sense because the far majority of human activity in Nevada takes place there. But, considering nominator's rationale, closing this as no consensus is the worst possible outcome. So the answer to the question is no, I would not be opposed. "Spanish" can mean "Spain", "Spanish nationality", "Spanish diaspora" or "Spanish language", while "regional" can mean "city", "autonomous community", "country" (Spain, Canada and the United States), "continent(s)" (Spanish America) or "archipelago" (Caribbean). - Propose purging Category:Spanish-American culture, Category:Spanish-Canadian culture, and Category:Spanish-Caribbean culture
- Nominator's rationale: WP:ARBITRARYCAT WP:CROSSCAT. The words "regional" and "Spanish" take up multiple ambiguous meanings, depending on the child category. "Spanish" can mean "Spain", "Spanish nationality", "Spanish diaspora" or "Spanish language", while "regional" can mean "city", "autonomous community", "country" (Spain, Canada and the United States), "continent(s)" (Spanish America) or "archipelago" (Caribbean). This is a mishmash. If anything, we should adhere to the category tree, which is indicated by parent Category:Culture of Spain. Category:Culture by city in Spain and Category:Spanish culture by autonomous community fit in that tree, and shoud be upmerged to this parent. The rest does not, and should be Purged.
