Welcome to the Holy Roman Empire task force of WikiProject Former countries, a subproject within the scope of the Empires bureau.
The aim of this task force is to improve the quality and accessibility of articles significant to the Holy Roman Empire (962-1806). Add the HRE-taskforce=yes parameter to the WPFC banner on all pages that fall within this category.
To assist task force members and other editors to create, improve and manage articles relating to the Holy Roman Empire, there is a dedicated portal here.
These are the vital articles of Wikipedia that are within the scope of the Holy Roman Empire task force. Level 3 articles are in bold, with the remainder being level 4. Vital articles can be checked for on these lists; Vital articles/Expanded/History and Vital_articles/Expanded/People. Let's make it our task force's priority to bring all these articles up to at least B-Class.
If you are interested in joining the task force, sign your name at the bottom of this list. After joining, you are encouraged to add the {{ User WPFC/HRE}} template to your user page. By doing so, we will recognize your support for the task force with a before your username.

These members have been inactive for over 6 months. If you see yourself on this list, welcome back to the task force! Return your name to the main list if you plan to stay.
This list of ex-members is kept solely for archival purposes.
This is a list of recognized content, updated weekly by JL-Bot ( talk · contribs) (typically on Saturdays). There is no need to edit the list yourself. If an article is missing from the list, make sure it is tagged or categorized (e.g. Category:Holy Roman Empire task force articles) correctly and wait for the next update. See WP:RECOG for configuration options. |
Add C-Class articles to this list that have only 1 or 2 unmet criteria, and place them in their appropriate columns. These articles require very little work to reach B-Class. When improving an article's Supporting materials criterion, use Wikimedia Commons as a source for images. The within each title definition links to a guideline further outlining how to meet the specific requirement. After a criteria contains 7 entries, place the remainder in a hidden Other entries list.
Referencing and citation It has reliable sources, and any important or controversial material which is likely to be challenged is cited. The use of either <ref> tags or citation templates such as {{
cite web}} is not required.
Holy Roman Empire
|
Coverage and accuracy It contains a large proportion of the material necessary for an A-Class article, although some sections may need expansion, and some less important topics may be missing.
|
Structure Content should be organized into groups of related material, including a lead section and all the sections that can reasonably be included in an article of its kind.
|
Grammar and style The prose contains no major grammatical errors and flows sensibly, but it certainly need not be " brilliant". The Manual of Style need not be followed rigorously.
|
Supporting materials Illustrations are encouraged, though not required. Diagrams and an infobox etc. should be included where they are relevant and useful to the content.
|
Accessibility It is written with as broad an audience in mind as possible. Although Wikipedia is more than just a general encyclopedia, the article should not assume unnecessary technical background and technical terms should be explained or avoided where possible.
|
These articles have more than two of six unmet conditions needed to become a B-Class article.
Former countries or subdivisions are in bold.
To handle the mass of different entities, a lot of navbars will be needed. Please list any requests and suggestions here. Once any requested templates are made, link them here so others can access them. A bot-generated list of current templates can be found here.
