be used to summarize information about a particular civil conflict (for example, protest, strike, clash with police) in a standard manner, as specified in the template's documentation. The latter is to be used when there is an attack on a civilian community (for example, a bombing). I hope that makes sense to you! Cocobb8 (💬 talk • ✏️ contribs) 20:56, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
I understand that the projects under the Wikimedia umbrella all have their own policies, so what is acceptable on one project may not be allowed on another. My question is: do we have a link to an article or essay specifically talking about this? I checked Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and similar but couldn't find one. I would like to provide a link to the user who made this semi-protected edit request as they appear to believe that we are required to make changes to an article to align with another project. I have tried to add reliable sources to the article Allegations of genocide in the 2023 Israeli attack on Gaza ( /info/en/?search=Allegations_of_genocide_in_the_2023_Israeli_attack_on_Gaza). The sources cited were NYT, Guardian, and Reuters. These sources were removed and I was warned that the NYT is not reliable.
The article lacks neutral reliable sources and it appears impossible to add them.
In addition, one of the extremely active editors then posted on my own talk page, warning me that my account would be blocked.
I do not feel able to add sources to this article given the manner in which it is edited, but I think that in the interest of neutrality and accuracy it is important to do so.
I would be most grateful if an experienced editor could look at the edit history of the page in question and suggest a way forward.
Thank you

I felt sorry while reading this request. Above all, it seems that a user tried to contribute in good faith in some way.
I'm contributing to Russian Wiktionary by translating example sentence from a language I can speak to Russian. I don't know it's useful. But I'd like to ask for an opinion. Create a subpage where they translate referances from their native language into English. Use quotation=
or {{harvnb}}: "quotation" (translation)
format in articles.
English contributors select sentences that they need or request, and English native speaker correct them if they sound awkward. and then delete the sentence from subpage. Through this, we can see the sentence that was left out.
Sorry for my clumsy English or inappropriate if you feel. 호로조 ( talk) 02:03, 6 March 2024 (UTC)

She also talks about a subtle touch to the acting of Lily, in which the Lily seen in flashbacks wore glasses as a boy, but Lily's glasses were gone after Lily began dressing like a girl. True or false?
She actually always says Lily is a boy, a crossdresser, and even an otokonoko over 9000 times since the producer of Zombie Land Saga said it in Animage magazine. Is it true?

Hi! I'm relatively new to editing here and this is my first time reaching out in the Teahouse. I've nominated an article for deletion and received some odd feedback: the article is Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Skyeskyns, a tannery. The first reply shared a personal story related to the tannery and was from a user who only edits that page, which makes me suspect a conflict of interest. The second reply came from a new account created just five minutes after the first comment, created only to comment on the deletion discussion, leading me to suspect it's a sockpuppet account named User:20Silkcut The third comment also came from a user who has likewise only made that one comment. All three responded by putting the keep vote in ==heading== style rather than the usual bold, making me think they could all be from the same person.
So my question is, what to do in this situation? The deletion nomination hasn't had any other eyes on it so with three keeps it'll probably stay. Can I report the accounts as sockpuppets even if they only have one post each? It's not much to go off.
Curiously the Skyeskyns page was started with a band as the topic before abruptly being changed to reflect a tannery.

Today I've been working on User:CommissarDoggo/Grigory Sverdlin and User:CommissarDoggo/Idite Lesom, and I came across an interesting dilemma. I posed it to the Discord, but the answer was inconclusive yet slanted towards the more commonly used name.
I'm wondering whether to use "Go by the Forest" (the more commonly used name for Idite Lesom, see the numerous sources on User:CommissarDoggo/Grigory Sverdlin#Go by the Forest), or whether to use "Get Lost" (which is used by a couple sources but, more importantly, the English translation of their official website: [2] https://iditelesom.org/en/).
Additionally, "Get Lost" seems to more be a tongue-in-cheek similarity according to [3] https://www.rferl.org/a/russia-georgia-evading-draft/32375122.html; "The name, Go by the Forest, is a play on words, a reference to the covert nature of its work but also a popular Russian idiom understood across the former Soviet Union to mean 'Get lost!'"
I suppose I'm hoping for some sort of policy that's hiding out there to answer the question, as I am somewhat torn while also leaning towards the more commonly used name. Thanks in advance. CommissarDoggo Talk? 18:52, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
I joined Wikipedia sometime ago for the purpose of learning and contribution, and I have learned a lot. Few hours ago, a new editor, had started to tag a series of pages I have contributed to with WP:COI, two of them are pages that I have created, S/he/they have also nominated one of my article for deletion. I have always find the community supportive and helpful, and I have always been grateful for it. I have tried my best to follow the Wikipedia guidelines and norms to the letter. However, I do know that I have a lot to learn, is there something that I have done wrong? how can I prove something that doesn't exists? That is me having COI with any of my contributions? From what I have read, copyediting is not just about adding words. It can be as simple as changing an "i" to "I". It can even be removing words and even sentences in order to make the article more readble. However, the backlog elimination drives judges progress by wordcount, how does that work if you remove words from an article? Do you still get credited for that in your wordcount? Hello friends.
It hadn't escaped my notice that since some time, people on English Wikipedia want to create more articles about ladies, which are usually much less in number than those about men. Thus, there comes my question: would you like to me to translate some articles from Polish Wikipedia about Polish ladies? I kinda worry that because of differences in, let's say, perspective on reality, it could be considered less "encyclopedic" on English Wikipedia than on Polish.
Of course, I can be wrong, thus this post. If you would like them articles from PL Wikipedia, please, just say so.
[I would also need a Native English proofreader, as English is my second language, but I believe this could be done fairly easily].

Hello! Suppose there is an article that needs serious improvement throughout the entire main article and various subarticles. The article strays far from the norm in terms of style, structuring, notability of content -- in short, it's not possible to fix it by editing each section in isolation. Rather, it probably needs something close to a rewrite. What is the best way to initiate a collaborative effort to do so?
I started by inviting some past contributors to team up via their talk page. However, almost all edits of the article in question are made by one very dedicated editor, who unfortunately is also the cause for the norm deviations. Additionally, it seems evident from the discussion page that he is rather "unfazed" by other editors pointing out these high-level issues, while the latter appear to have given up one by one. I'd appreciate some guidance in how to go about this without antagonising people. DracaenaGuianensis ( talk) 15:30, 8 March 2024 (UTC)

The system's article and the lines themselves seem fine, but most of the articles on the individual stations contain less than a paragraph of text and no or few sources. (See this station for an example; here are most of the stations.) I am aware that a short article doesn't determine notability, but I don't think a random platform by the side of the road without any secondary coverage meets the notability guidelines. Any ideas on what to do about them? Delete? Merge? Should they be kept? I don't really know what the reasons would be to do one or the other, or how I would go about doing it. 99percentDragon ( talk) 16:01, 8 March 2024 (UTC)

Photographs of nudity including male and female genitalia are sometimes uploaded for non-educational motives, and such images are not exempt from the requirement to comply with the rules of Commons' scope. If the images are of demonstrably inferior quality, or add nothing educationally distinct to the stock of such images we hold already, they may fail the test of being realistically useful for an educational purpose.Instead there is an enormous amount of such images and videos, as confirmed by this article. Is there something we can do so that this policy is correctly implementated? Kind regards 14 novembre ( talk) 18:33, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

"You must be logged-in and extended-confirmed to edit or discuss this topic on any page[..]"
Upon looking at
Wikipedia:General sanctions#Active sanctions, in the row for "Palestine-Israel articles 4", it says the following instead:
"The entire set of articles whose topic relates to the Arab-Israeli conflict, broadly interpreted; edits relating to the Arab-Israeli conflict, to pages and discussions in all namespaces with the exception of userspace"
Obviously I cannot talk about this topic, nor am I interested in doing so, but I am interested in if there truly is an exception for userspace or not, and I am not sure where the correct place to ask is. I'd also like to ask, if it is an exception, why is it an exception? –

Hello, I'm editing Sayaka Senbongi's wikipedia article to add a character she voiced in Granblue Fantasy. I found a behindthevoiceactors page for her contribution to the game, but it doesn't include the date she contributed. Despite my best efforts I can't find a source for the date that isn't a player run wiki. The information is in the game, but it requires an account and to own the character to view. Should I just leave the source information for the date of her contribution out with the knowledge that I've placed it under the correct year, or should I link the wiki? I can confirm the wiki is correct, I just can't link the confirmation that the wiki is correct. I've not pushed the edit through yet (though it is ready to go once I get clarification!) so none of this is visible on the wiki page, I've linked it regardless.
Thanks in advance! Bariaus ( talk) 00:25, 10 March 2024 (UTC)

Is there a rule about how often you can cite particular sites? It takes time to search for a lot of different sources...but I just don't know the rules, as I think I may have linked a lot to one site, but I mean to vary it when I have more free time.
Is there a rule about the maximum percentage you should link to one site?
Lifelong learner837 ( talk) 22:57, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
Hello, Lifelong learner837. Based on the discussions on your talk page, you seem to have been adding inappropriate external links repeatedly to multiple articles. This can definitely be seen by other editors as spammimg, specially when the link is not directly pertinent to the content. Please read External links to understand the few occasions when such links are appropriate and the many where they are. I also recommend that you read Wikipedia:Citation overkill which explains some of the other concerns that have been brought to your attention. It is not a matter of a maximum percentage from a given source so much as quality. You could buy today's New York Times and use it to improve dozens of articles and no one would complain if your usage of that newspaper is germane and fills a need. You should not do this, though, if you work for that newspaper. Cullen328 ( talk) 23:17, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

I would to add information to the Wikipedia pages of Molly Ball and also The Atlantic. But I think I may have a conflict of interest so I would like to ask someone "neutral" to add the information. The verifiable source of the information is an article by Erik Wemple of the Washington Post. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/02/29/atlantic-krisher-japan-cambodia-settlement/ (gift link if you hit a paywall and can't read the whole artice: https://wapo.st/48OAGmU). The heading could be possibly titled "Legal Disputes" or "Notable Corrections":
This is the summary of facts (see Washington Post article to confirm):
Dispute Over Article Accuracy and Subsequent Settlement
In December 2017, Molly Ball wrote an article for The Atlantic titled "When the Presses Stop," focusing on Bernard Krisher's life as a journalist and philanthropist, notably his founding of the Cambodia Daily. Following its publication, Deborah Krisher-Steele, Krisher's daughter, contested several aspects of the story, leading to a lawsuit filed in Japan. The lawsuit highlighted concerns over factual inaccuracies and sought corrections to preserve Bernard Krisher's legacy.
The Krisher family's lawsuit brought attention to the challenges U.S. media companies face in international legal environments, contrasting with the protections they enjoy in the United States. Key points of contention included the portrayal of Krisher's response to Ball's personal health insurance issue while she was an employee at Cambodia Daily, descriptions of Krisher's journalistic style, and certain private details regarding Krisher's family.
After six years of legal proceedings, The Atlantic settled the lawsuit in January 2024. As part of the settlement, The Atlantic made 16 post-publication changes to the original article. These changes addressed various aspects, including the clarification of Krisher's efforts to assist with Ball's health-insurance problem in 2003, the nature of the insurance offered by The Cambodia Daily, and several other details related to Krisher's career and personal life. The Atlantic issued a statement regarding the settlement, noting that it was reached in good faith without admitting any liability or wrongdoing.

Franz Brandner is an Austrian artist renowned for his vibrant works that often reflect his experiences in South Korea.
Brandner showed an early affinity for the arts. His passion led him to pursue a formal education in art, culminating in his graduation from Art College. During his college years, Brandner was exposed to a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, which would later influence his diverse body of work.
Wikiasd On a different note, I strongly suspect you created your account to conduct undeclared paid editing. You created a Sandbox draft of this article on 28 Feb, then on 9 March added word hyperlinks to a dozen random articles (all since reverted), so as to qualify for creating an article in mainspace - and then moved your Sandbox to mainspace on the same day. Hi to everyone,
I created my first Wikipedia page a few months ago. The first review rejected it because I did not add enough sources and the text was not encyclopaedic enough. About ten days ago I made improvements and pressed the "publish" button again. As far as I understand, the text should now be sent for review again. As I now realised, an editor made substantial edits to the text in these past days. They shortened it, removed several contents, and included many new references. While those edits improved the text, they made me see I could add other edits to improve it even further with more sources and specific contents.
My questions is: should/can I go ahead and add my edits on top of those made by the Wikipedia editor, or should I hold off my edits until the article goes through review?
I also would like to know how I can include a bullet list in the list of references.
Thanks so much for your help!

What template do people use to issue notifications on WikiProjects of the creation of a requested move that might be relevant to the WikiProject? I see Template:RM notice, but this doesn't seem to produce the same text that I most commonly see actually used on WikiProject pages, which looks something like this:
There is a requested move discussion at Talk:Some Page#Requested move 12 March 2024 that may be of interest to members of this WikiProject.
By contrast, Template:RM notice produces the following:
An editor has requested that Some Page be moved to another page, which may be of interest to this WikiProject. You are invited to participate in the move discussion.
This later format, while communicating more or less the same thing, isn't what I actually see people using. So what's the template that produces the former (and why do people prefer it)? Brusquedandelion ( talk) 13:55, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Two editors have a history of wholesale replacement of the article about the book The Wonder Weeks. I sure would appreciate an experienced editor helping to resolve the matter.
It was reverted to a stub most recently in December 2023. In February, I started revising that version. I built carefully, step by step, correcting factually wrong information and adding relevant information. Today MVoltz reverted the entirety to her version of December 2023, without notice on the Talk page. I had previously documented each substantial point on the Talk page. It is my perception that their rejoinders there either failed to recognize those points or were unresponsive to them, but you can judge that for yourself.
One editor, Pizzaman, has demonstrated on the Talk page that he is importing material from the Dutch Wikipedia community. Apparently, according to the article on the Dutch Wikipedia, this sort of edit warring is kind of the norm there. He and MVoltz seem to be upholding somebody's ill feelings about a controversy involving one author of the book which took place in that country 26 years ago. You can read what I think is an NPOV account of that controversy in my recently reverted February version. The current version (reverted to 2023) is one-sided by omission, and IMO verges on the scurrilous.
I am at a loss how to engage these two editors in good faith discussion. I am reluctant to take it to the admin noticeboard. I think it would be much better for one or more other editors to take a look and help establish a factually accurate, NPOV article. I will try to be attentive but I have an extended family funeral gathering coming up, and Wikipedia has a small part in my life. I would be most happy to have other eyes looking to the accuracy and NPOV of this article. Bn ( talk) 04:17, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

I certainly do not wish to offer a contemporary comment upon Senator Feinstein's 'wiki' page, at the time of her Death. However: her page has a 'monstrous ERROR'; in my opinion.
To wit: the Soviet's built their nuclear reactors in 'chicken coops', in comparison to those built in the United States. I.e. without 'Containments'. In 1986, I believe, one of their reactors, a large one moderated not by water as are ours in the U.S., but by graphite, caught on fire, at Chernobyl. Around 200 brave men, heroes actually, incorrectly thinking, based upon a data-less guess by an American Nobelist, a guy named Rassmussen, at Lawrence Livermore Labs, that the loss to atmosphere of a huge amount of fission's inherently 'dirty' radionuclides, would imply the PREMATURE DEATHS of > 100,000 to a 1.3 million, innocent men & women. Winds that day were blowing out of the East, and towards Germany. [If I recall correctly, six young females, ate from cow's milk on the Russian side of the border with Poland, and subsequently DID die from a very fast (3 day, half-life) isotope of radioactive iodine; but, on the Polish side, iodine pills were distributed for ninety days, & 0 youngsters died, or were even sickened.] After 30 years, a team with about 100 'epidemiologists' was organized under the Supervision of the United Nations, to go into the areas affected by the Chernobyl fire; & to look at the statistics to see what the ACTUAL # of premature deaths turned out to be. It was 0! Rassmussen was incorrect! Hugely!
This finding means: that Jane Fonda's utterly ignorant jaw flapping about Rassmussen's incorrect guess, killed the American nuclear development in it's infancy. Michael Douglas, another Hollywood brat, or utterly untrained, child of a star, made a movie with her called The China Syndrome, which with God's help, came out weeks before the loss of coolant accident at Three Mile Island. About 100 N-plants were up & running and In the Rate Base, when 3 Mile occurred. Thousands of highly trained math & engineering experts who designed (i.e., folks who COULD do differential equations) those facilities; but 3 Mile ended, or greatly altered their careers! As difficult as it is to imagine how, we in America essentially Threw in the Towel on them--the smart guys. Favoring the imbeciles! 1986 + 30 = 2016; & 2016 - 1979 = 47. Nearly 1/2 Century later, we learned the sordid TRUTH! Our nuclear industry was inherently far, far safer than we had incorrectly guessed. We really DO NOT even NEED an NRC! Why is this important? Because, with Senator Feinstein's error on Global Warming, we have her work which your web page develops, and we are embarked upon an absolutely unnecessary set of initiatives to correct for a Problem, that Warming, which would not exist except we followed the alarming advice of those who guessed, and guessed wrong. The advent of Rush Limbaugh, in the late 1980's, also helped us to arrive at today's hideously inept result: Rush went on a Radio terror for 3 decades, incorrectly telling millions of America's truck drivers, that CO2 did not co-establish the Earth's thermal regime. It certainly does, 2nd only to water vapor!
When appropriate, Senator Feinstein's wiki page needs a correction, in my opinion. Thank you.

With adding images to Wikipedia pages, it seems like if I took the picture myself, and it doesn't violate the privacy of people and such, I can pretty much use it.
What is really confusing for me is the part about finding images that don't run into any international copyright laws- how does one find images to use, what are the protocols, and is Getty Images an okay source (I'm guessing that the photographer receives credit somehow).
I haven't added any images to pages because I don't want to violate any copyright laws, but I'm still curious about how they work.

I have a question about new-page approval. The French-language page for the Royal Society of Canada's president, Alain-G. Gagnon, is not adequately sourced, and so it flashes with warnings saying so: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alain-G._Gagnon. There is no reason for a public figure with such a well established public profile, as for instance here ( https://rsc-src.ca/en/governance-programmes/board-directors/alain-gagnon), not to have a functional Wiki page in any language. I therefore two months ago drafted a modest, meticulously sourced English-language page: Draft:Alain-G. Gagnon. It has been years since I have done any Wiki editing, so I do not have seniority, but I was careful to make the page uncontroversial, crafted to normal new-page conventions, and ready-to-go "as is." My plan was to let that one page go up before embarking on further Wikipedia edits as a rejoined member of the editorial community. Should I be editing a range of other pages credibly to improve the standing of my account so that I can draft new pages without so long an approval delay? I would respectfully request help from anyone who can guide me through the steps of contributing to the organization's fine work, and to keep whatever delays arise in public-facing posts to a minimum. Obviously one could post the discussion to one page, and then just informally post notification to the other related pages' talk pages, but is there a better way? Ideally what I want is a means by which the exact same discussion can appear on multiple pages, and if someone replies to it on any of the pages, the reply will be synchronized across all occurrences of the discussion on all pages. I'm on the email list for Triad Transformers (announcing new products and such) and was surprised to get this (pertinent paragraph from email):
"We are excited to share that our company officially has a page on Wikipedia! Check out the page to learn more about our origins as the Triad Transformer Corporation and our history that's a part of early Hollywood films, the beginnings of Rock & Roll, and even the Apollo Mission."
The page in question: Triad_Transformers
There's nothing in the email suggesting the company in any way created or edited the article, but the article itself was only created in October of last year, and most edits were made by that creator. Might the creator/editor have some connection to the company? It seems suspicious to me, but I don't see an IP address for the creator and don't know how to answer that. There were two reasons that the article got rejected: 1) Lack of references 2) Style not appropriate for a wiki article
I'd like to ask for advice on both.
References: I have searched the Internet and the Internet Archive for information about this game, and there is really not much I'm finding to link to. That's actually one major reason why I wanted to write the article; humanity has mostly forgotten about the game. I've gotten material for the article by running my copy of the game directly.
Style: I'm gonna need some help knowing what to change to make the style different. I tried to make the article more like an encyclopedia, so I'm kinda lost as to what to change.

Is there a way to change the header level of transcluded content when using Template:Excerpt? This seems like a common enough use case— when you want to nest an excerpt that has headers within it at a different root heading level than in the original article— but I can't seem to find any documentation about it. |inline=yes
then the output is a string not a block, and you can pass it to another template or Module for further processing. I have done this before, and it works fine although is a bit less friendly with the string manipulation involved; see for example,
Ships of ancient Rome#Black Sea. You could do something like that to demote (or promote) subsections using
Module:String with function replace and a regular expression (have done that, too, but not in Excerpt context) but that would be even less friendly. What I would do instead, is create a new template, {{
Heading level change}} with a parameter |shift=
, such that |shift=1
adds 1 equal sign left and right of every header section, 2 adds 2 equal signs, and when negative (e.g., |shift=-1
), it substracts them. Embed the Module:String invocation and the regular expression there. Then transclude your excerpt like this:
{{Hlc|shift=1| {{excerpt|PageTitle|SectionTitle|inline=yes|hat=no}} }}
{{#invoke:String|replace|source_str|pattern|replace_string|plain=false}}

However, due to the (in my opinion) scattered UI of Wikipedia, I've embarrassingly failed to find a feature to be able to talk with other editors one-on-one / privately. Hello. I have been a Wikipedia reader and donator for several years, and I love Wikipedia. I am writing to see if a new article needs to be created or perhaps you could direct me regarding the topic I am about to discuss. In my recent past I started sending more text based communication to various entities over the internet. These include government organizations and other various corporate organizations. Over the course of several years I was attempting to communicate with the FBI via their tip website. I never received a single return correspondence from them. I want to try and make sure that all the time I spent writing to then doesn't gonun-noticed. I started writing to them after I got arrested for the first time in Allen, TX. I was arrested for disorderly conduct. I felt taken advantage of because of that situation. APD has been the subject of investigation for killing a man named Edgar Veras close to where I used to live, and I identified with that families frustration with the police department. I had all sorts of police contact when I lived in Allen, and I don't think a single person that dialed 911 had a valid reason for what they did. I have written to governments all over the world mainly about tobacco sales, but also regarding psychiatric medication. I scored a 4.0 in behavioral neuroscience at UTD, and I think that large numbers of people need to know and would benefit from, what I am discussing. I have a request for a suggested improvement to Wikipedia that I've always wanted to know if possible to make, but I've never seen exactly where one can submit these ideas for usability and accessibility enhancements.
Does anyone know where one can properly suggest this, so I don't get yelled at for doing it in the wrong place? I really wish I had known about this *friendly* place years ago.

I recently submitted an article for review but was declined because it was supposed to be a duplicate article of this - Babatunde Apalowo -- waiting for review. On clicking this, I saw that it was already reviewed but rejected by several editors. I would reject the article myself as it is very scanty and not up to task unlike my article, which is much more detailed and provided relevant citations.
Should I simply re-edit the previous declined article (Can I even do that?) Or, what can I do in this situation. Apologies if this is a noob question, because, I am actually new. Thank you. Judeylive ( talk) 10:30, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
I've been editing Ticket to Ride (board game), and I need advice on how to proceed with the "Awards and Honours" section within this article. I was thinking of making it into a table, but I'm afraid of the table taking up too much space. I could leave it as it is, but I feel that it looks too disorganized to do that. I've been using Wingspan (board game) as a reference, but this article has a lot less awards, so the length of the section wouldn't really be an issue.

I have uploaded hundreds images in the past and this is the first time that I have ever had this problem before.

Hi, I'm working on the Star Wars page. Whenever I click "Edit," a pop-up edit notice appears, which states:
"There are suggestions on this article's talk page for references that may be useful when improving this article in the future. (See the box that begins "The following ...".)"
Is there a way to get rid of this? The talk page section it refers to contains only two references, one short article and one book, neither of which is cited in the article. My impression is that it's a very outdated notice, and now it is just irritating. Wafflewombat ( talk) 23:33, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
Wafflewombat, yes, you can. Add the following line to your common.css page, purge your common.css, and refresh the Star Wars page:
body .refideas {display:none} /* Turn off {{Refideas editnotice}} in edit mode */
This will turn off the notice on all pages that have it. See H:CSS for some help with common.css. Let me know if you have any issues applying it. Mathglot ( talk) 02:35, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

There seem to be a large number of articles about random stations along the Houston METRORail system that don't seem like they would be notable.

I'm looking to contribute to a page on Lorentz force with a bit on popular culture (a game called Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance), but since I can't directly cite the game, I'm trying to cite one of the trailers for the game. However, when I was trying this out on my sandbox page, I got a message telling me the YouTube citation was blacklisted. How should I proceed? Should I look for some other source to cite?

Can someone point me in the direction of any guidelines (should they exist) on how to write and structure an article on the persecution or oppression of the members of an ethnicity/religion/political persuasion/sexuality etc. without producing a WP:INDISCRIMINATE listing of every time someone did anything bad to a member of the given group ever? Are there any concrete policies on this, or litmus tests for when a specific piece of content should be included in such articles?

The page in question: Triad_Transformers
There's nothing in the email suggesting the company in any way created or edited the article, but the article itself was only created in October of last year, and most edits were made by that creator.

Is there a way to change the header level of transcluded content when using Template:Excerpt? |inline=yes
then the output is a string not a block, and you can pass it to another template or Module for further processing. I have done this before, and it works fine although is a bit less friendly with the string manipulation involved; see for example,
Ships of ancient Rome#Black Sea. You could do something like that to demote (or promote) subsections using
Module:String with function replace and a regular expression (have done that, too, but not in Excerpt context) but that would be even less friendly. What I would do instead, is create a new template, {{
{{Hlc|shift=1| {{excerpt|PageTitle|SectionTitle|inline=yes|hat=no}} }}
{{#invoke:String|replace|source_str|pattern|replace_string|plain=false}}

However, due to the (in my opinion) scattered UI of Wikipedia, I've embarrassingly failed to find a feature to be able to talk with other editors one-on-one / privately. User Talk pages feel too personal and not really any better, and it feels inappropriate to start a new topic in the page's talk section just for two people to discuss. I have created an article with the best references, but my draft Agha Majid was rejected. How can I improve this article and publish it on Wikipedia? My dream is to write for Wikipedia. Please help me! MobeenYounasDigitalCreator ( talk) 14:17, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
When are projects euthanized? Wikipedia:WikiProject New South Wales has seen little discussion on the talk page for a couple of years and some of the sub pages are decades old (eg: Wikipedia:WikiProject New South Wales/Missing topics, Wikipedia:WikiProject New South Wales/To-do, Wikipedia:WikiProject New South Wales/Cleanup listing) 76.14.122.5 ( talk) 03:03, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I am still new to editing Wikipedia, and I have a article: Wheaton Youth Center, which mostly talks about a rumor that Led Zeppelin performing in the Wheaton youth center, but the sources are either not working or talking about the, and there seems to be no notability to this page besides the rumor, and the section where it lists the artists who performed was either deleted, and was never archived. I want to redirect the information to the page about the city as a whole: Wheaton,Maryland But I'm not sure I have enough proof to nominate this page at all. Thank you. Shifting topics...I have a grievance with The UTD Mercury regarding their online behavior as well. Thank you!!! Richard George Ashton II Rickytexan1 ( talk) 19:38, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
Hi there! I've found some issues in the Andrea Saltelli article: 1) A potential conflict of interest between the initial editor and Saltelli from prior collaborations. 2) The tone seems promotional. 3) The biography section lacks citations. After flagging the article for maintenance over a week ago, I'm unsure whether to remove this unreferenced section or wait longer. Tips on the appropriate "grace period" for addressing unreferenced content for both BLPs and general articles would be really appreciated. HerBauhaus ( talk) 14:05, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
@ HerBauhaus:As I said in my edit summary: "see template documentation". Documentation for {{ COI}} says (formatting per original):
Like the other neutrality-related tags, if you place this tag, you should promptly start a discussion on the article's talk page to explain what is non-neutral about the article. If you do not start a discussion, any editor will be justified in removing the tag without warning.
[...]
Do not apply this tag simply because you suspect COI editing, or because there is or was a COI editor.

In reference to User:Afyaniuhai comment, would any of these qualify as outside sources for Professor Pielak?

I have a request for a suggested improvement to Wikipedia that I've always wanted to know if possible to make, but I've never seen exactly where one can submit these ideas for usability and accessibility enhancements.
Does anyone know where one can properly suggest this, so I don't get yelled at for doing it in the wrong place? I really wish I had known about this *friendly* place years ago.

The entry on Raheem J. Brennerman is not an encyclopedia article. It purports to be a factual account of Brennerman’s legal problems, which in truth seems intended to garner public support for his various appeals, complaints, suits and counter-suits. Not incompetent, but an exercise in rhetoric. What to do? Drsharps53 ( talk) 01:39, 15 March 2024 (UTC)

Am I correct that Cygnus X1 is said to be 20 solar radii and SAG A* is reported about the same size ? Is the Schwartzchild radius dependent on mass ? Would this imply the tail wagging the dog ? If an error occurs , how does it get corrected ? Seeker314159 ( talk) 20:00, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
I've brought up the idea of making this section into a table in the Talk page, but I haven't received any responses. What should I do to improve this section?
