It is located in the center of the krai. The area of the district is 2,700 square kilometers (1,000 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Ust-Charyshskaya Pristan. [1] Population: 13,409 ( 2010 Russian census); [3] 16,806 ( 2002 Census); [6] 19,891 ( 1989 Soviet census). [7] The population of Ust-Charyshskaya Pristan accounts for 37.5% of the district's total population. [3]
