Kosikhinsky District ( Russian: Коси́хинский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [4] district ( raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the krai. The area of the district is 1,877 square kilometers (725 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Kosikha. [1] Population: 17,927 ( 2010 Russian census); [3] 20,494 ( 2002 Census); [6] 21,863 ( 1989 Soviet census). [7] The population of the administrative center accounts for 29.2% of the district's total population. [3]
