Tretyakovsky District ( Russian: Третьяко́вский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [4] district ( raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the south of the krai. The area of the district is 1,998 square kilometers (771 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Staroaleyskoye. [1] Population: 14,197 ( 2010 Russian census); [3] 16,787 ( 2002 Census); [6] 15,408 ( 1989 Soviet census). [7] The population of Staroaleyskoye accounts for 33.6% of the district's total population. [3]
