The lead should provide an overview of the article. Currently it doesn't mention his early career and what steps he took to become a professional driver - to properly summarize the article in the lead you should write it in roughly the same chronology as the article. It's always a good idea to look to articles of good quality on a similar topic to get inspiration on how to structure an article - A. J. Foyt IV for example, where the lead summarizes the career. This user (who created the page) blanked the page, and instead of reverting him and warning him, you could have just applied the {{ db-author}} tag. Why is this [1] considered "unconstructive"? It's true. He wouldn't have gone out without his helmet or gloves if he knew HAL would just lock him out. Hence his lack of realization that HAL had committed murder.
I am sorry but I do not understand. The sentence is grammatically correct and HAL is supposed to be in all caps. Have you ever seen this movie? A tag has been placed on File:Welch elm school.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{
hangon}}
to the top of
the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on
the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

I have done a peer review of the article and placed improvements on the talk page that I think should be done before you nominated it for GA. I thought we had agreed to wait until my review was done; but no worries since my GA nominations on NASCAR topics have usually take at least a month. You've done a great job despite the grim look of my review - I needed to be nitpicky to ensure it passes. Royal broil 13:40, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

I believe that you shouldn't be reviewing yet. You need to see how the entire process works first and you're jumping the gun. I understand that you're gung ho. You reviewed Park Grill and failed it immediately. GA reviewing is not an immediate pass/fail except in absolutely terrible conditions and this article is decent and relatively close to meeting the standards - even by your own opinion. You need to give the other person some time to implement your improvements first. I think you should restore it to the GA nominations list and let someone else tackle it. Would you mind running things like this past someone experienced like me for the time being until you get more seasoned? I'm happy to help. Royal broil 14:09, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a " cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you.
And I agree that the main page for the race should be at the general "Your Name Here" title, with the year specific pages containing the contest winner's name. -- Wean0r ( talk) 21:16, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
I've thought of a compromise. I've already written about the first tne laps, so you can do the next ten. That will alow me time to do some of my work. Than, I can come back and do the next ten, and so on. Deal? Buggie111 ( talk) 00:29, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Two things. First, poles are only officially recorded by winning qualifying. Starting first because qualifying is canceled does count, Yahoo! is wrong there. Second, Yahoo! tends to be unreliable for some stats. Poles is one as mentioned above, since Yahoo! counts every time the driver started the race in first place. Another is career average start and finish; for that Yahoo! averages all of the yearly averages and calls it the career average, which won't work in most cases. Personally the only stat I use Yahoo! for is winnings; that seems to match NASCAR.com (except NASCAR.com rounds it off to the nearest $10 while Yahoo! rounds to the nearest $1). -- Wean0r ( talk) 01:57, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Dear MR Nascar 1996.
The other day you blocked me for 31 hours for editing the post Whanganui. I was editing it to change a lot of it's spelling to the more correct way "Wanganui". Please appreciate that "Wanganui" is the most common way spelt by almost all people from Wanganui and New Zealand and the spelling with an H is not correct. I would like to say i believe my blocking was unjust as i was just trying to constructivley edit the page to correct it's spelling of this great town to it's offical and original spelling Wanganui. As I take you are an American with the name Nascar, i am sure you are unfamiliar with Wanganui and it's spelling so please appreciate the fact that Wanganui is the correct way to spell the town and i was just correcting that. I am requesting you please unblock me and allow for me to correct the errors on the Whanganui page or at least give the spelling Wanganui equal status with it's other name with the H. Please correct me if i am wrong but i dont think you have been to Wanganui so i think being a local and somewhat older that the year 1996 I have more knowledge on the matter. I look forward to hearing your response soon.
Many kind regards

I have no idea who you are, but you keep reverting my Wikipedia edit on Jodio Loco Sucio. You say it is not constructive. However, it is in fact the true translation. I used Google Translate for the literal meaning, and I happen to be from the Dominican Republic, so not only do I speak the same language as the people who named the band, I also understand the dialect the language is spoken in. It is constructive if it is both 1)the truth and 2)relevant to the topic at hand, meaning my edit is constructive. So, I ask of you to please stop reverting my edit because of the sole reason that you feel it is nonconstructive.

The main thing I see is that the lead needs to be referenced and developed (the opposite of articles basically; article leads shouldn't have refs, list leads have to). It's good so far, just add in some more notes like you have in the third paragraph (i.e. which make has the most wins, etc.). The table looks good. If you can add images into the sections with tables without causing any issues, that would help greatly. List of Formula One Grand Prix winners is a decent list to look over if you need further guidance (there are surprisingly few motorsport featured lists, that's probably the best of them). Once you get it to where you think it's good, best thing is to just go for it and hope for the best. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 23:38, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of 2011 in NASCAR, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: 2010 in NASCAR. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot ( talk) 04:59, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

The information that was presented was factual and historic in my re-editing of said item, and represents the North American broadcasts. If you only took the time to look up "2010 Coke Zero 400 in 3-D" on Google, there was factual information. I reverted to my edit as a result. Also, as far as the satellite radio, it is in North America as well. I have been doing this on the NASCAR sections for some time now and it irks me when someone reverts an edit that I worked hard on. As a result, I must warn you the next time you pull something like this, I will have no choice but to deliver a vandalism warning and report you to a mod. End of story.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{
hangon}}
to the top of
the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on
the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay.

Hey, just wanted to let you know I've pretty much completed the preliminary review and that it's on hold. I'll be around and monitoring the review, so get busy before June 26 :), Airplaneman ✈ 19:21, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
Hello Nascar1996. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Portal:West Virginia/Fact to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/ Stalk 21:05, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
On June 28, 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article List of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champions, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

For all your work on NASCAR related articles. Thank you. Keep up the good work!! Philipmj24 ( talk) 19:02, 28 June 2010 (UTC) |
