	US Banknote Contest
	November-December 2019
There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

Article of the month – Harley J. Earl Trophy, a good article The Harley J. Earl Trophy is the trophy presented to the winner of the premier – and season-opening – event of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), the Daytona 500. It is named after influential automobile designer Harley Earl, who served as the second commissioner of NASCAR. Earl has been known as the so-called "father of the Corvette" and designer of the Firebird I prototype that adorns the trophy. Article of the month – Dylan Kwasniewski, a good article Dylan Kwasniewski ( /kwəzˈnɛski/ kwəz-NES-kee; born May 31, 1995) is an American real estate broker and former professional stock car racing driver. A champion in both the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and Pro Series West, he was a developmental driver for Chip Ganassi Racing. Kwasniewski most recently drove in six races for Obaika Racing in NASCAR's Xfinity Series during the 2015 season, and he currently works as a real estate broker for Colliers International.( Read more...) Article of the month – Shawna Robinson, a good article Shawna Robinson (born November 30, 1964) is an American retired professional stock car racing driver. She was a competitor in all three of NASCAR's national touring series, as well as the ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series and the Charlotte/Daytona Dash Series. Additionally, there has been a decline in the quality of the new work being generated by the project. Article of the month – 2010 Emory Healthcare 500, a good article The 2010 Emory Healthcare 500 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race that was held on September 5, 2010 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. Contested over 325 laps, it was the twenty-fifth race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season. The race was won by Tony Stewart, for the Stewart Haas Racing team. Article of the month – 2011 Budweiser Shootout, a good article The 2011 Budweiser Shootout was a stock car race and the first exhibition event of the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. It was held on February 12, 2011 at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The 75-lap race was won by Kurt Busch for the Penske Racing team. The file File:Budweiser Duel 2013 logo.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free former logo being used in a WP:DECORATIVE manner in Bluegreen Vacations Duel#Past winners which fails WP:NFCC#8 and WP:NFG. Non-free former logos can be used as long as their use complies with WP:NFC#cite_note-4 and this almost always means the logo itself about the logo and the associated change in brandling that led to its replacement is the subject of sourced critical commentary. Simply adding the logo to "show" what it looks like is not considered sufficient to satisfy WP:NFC#CS, except in cases where the logo is being used for primary identification purposes at the top of or in the main infobox of an article about the organization the logo represents.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly ( talk) 08:04, 22 September 2022 (UTC) reply
