There is a dispute at Talk:Views of Lyndon LaRouche#Request for edit by an administrator. There are two self-proclaimed "critics" of LaRouche, Dennis King and Chip Berlet, who edit Wikipedia as Dking and Cberlet. They have posted a lot of subtly defamatory material, where whenever LaRouche makes comments that are critical of bankers or medieval nobility, they "interpret" these comments as veiled anti-Semitism. In the dispute in question, they go beyond this to the point of attempting to present their "interpretation" as fact, and they are resisting the proper attribution of an "interpretation" originating with Dennis King to King. Will Beback, who is an admin, has a long history of assisting them, and in this instance is attempting to deflect all discussion away from the issue of attribution, using diversionary tactics. I believe that this is an open-and-shut case of BLP violation and requires action without further debate. I am asking you to take a look at it. Hey, as you are a member of the Michael Jackson wikiproject I have some very important news for you. I will be nominating the Michael Jackson article for FA shortly and the Thriller album article is currently on the nomination list for GA. We need your help with both articles....
The Michael Jackson artice is currently on a peer review (which you can see on the articles talk page). It also really needs its references formatted correctly.
The Thriller album is going to be reviewed in the next couple of DAYS its sources need formatting.
These are the most important articles on michael jackson here at wiki, 2008 has been an excellent year for michael jackson, lets make it a good year for him here at wikipedia too. If these articles get a GA or FA statues it could make news outside of the wiki world. What a great way to celebrate the 25th year of MJ being the KING OF POP.
Please help with the sources of both these articles and in any other way you can. If you know any other people at wiki that might want to get involved let them know. Realist2 ( talk) 22:30, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Hello Alison, you previously helped me with a sockpuppeting case that happened before and I was wondering if you could help. I'm not asking you to do a checkuser, if you did that would be your own judgement, but I am asking to see if the case would be worth writing a report for (and in all honestly, I just don't want to waste time filling a checkuser report that would be declined and I would prefer filling a report I know is going to be done). So if you could head to my talk and read over the thread Timmeh started, and telling me how much I have of a chance of getting a checkuser completed, that would be most helpful. Thanks, — Κaiba 23:12, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
You need to do a little more checking before you just go around throwing out false accusations. If you will look a little better you will see that the IP in question (you know the one I'm talking about) is not mine. You will see Landon1980 has only edited from that IP on three occasions. Now look at the other account that goes with that IP that edits from it on a regular basis. You should have seen that is NOT my primary IP, the vast majority of my edits are from my home IP. That is my brothers IP, and he made the statements using the IP, not I. I merely logged in a couple times while at his house. He is a Flyleaf fan as well, so he gave his opinion. I don't appreciate you slinging around accusations like that, and in a round about way revealing my brothers IP. It was not warranted for you to do that in this situation. Neither his or my IP have ever been blocked, or even so much as vandalised any article. While don't you show me policy that states I can't log in while at my brothers, and that he can't comment on something I am involved in from his OWN IP. You are a disgrace to the checkuser function. Landon1980 ( talk) 03:53, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
I also suggest you delete my talk page or do whatever you have to do to remove that irrelevant warning you left me. Too many people already know my brother's IP because of your sloppiness. Where did you come up with the edit war idea anyways, just pull it out of your ass? That IP is not involved in any "edit war" I have ever been in, as I have never been in one in the first place. I have never even came close to violating 3RR, you go ahead and call the IP in question mine hypothetically, still I did not violate 3RR on any article. This checkuser was not even requested properly, you had no business doing what you did. I mean come on, "they edit some of the same articles" There was no previous blocked or banned users involved, or any blatant evidence of anything for that matter. On one measely article we shared the same opinion, we are brothers you know. It would be different if that was the IP I use all the time, which it is not. Saying I logged in from there 3 times is really pushing it, had you looked you would have seen this. I know exactly how checkuser works, look again and you will the IP I made the vast majority of my edits from is not even similar to the one in question. Landon1980 ( talk) 04:40, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Dear Alison.
I am the above user, and would like to disappear from Wikipedia, but unfortunately, am unable to since I have salted my password, and right to vsnish appears to require that the request be made from the user account.
I wish to do this because it was recently brought to my attention that sock puppeting activities had been taking place from my PC. I initially thought that this might be down to someone having piggybacked my wireless, but later discovered the work to have been two individuals who I had allowed to use my system under the pretence of other purposes, but who then seemed to have been editing Wikipedia under a raft of different usernames.
These appear to have started as good faith edits, but have later degenerated into some limited abuse of editing priveleges. I was recently reported to Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/IP check following an exchange between an anonymous IP and a user who I had clashed with in December 2007. This prompted me to wonder why I'd been reported, and I then discovered the sock puppetry activities, so I made a note of them. I was then reported to Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Paul20070.
I then decided it would probably be best if I retired, and made a note of this in my userspace, and salted my password. I have since decided that I'd like to completely. However, I appear anable to do this.
I reported the sock puppetry in good faith because I think that sockpuppet editing damages Wikipedia's reputation. I decided to approach you because I know you to be a senior administrator who will make a fair and honest decision, and I would very much appreciate your help and advice.
Thanks. Paul20070 81.152.223.85 ( talk) 09:02, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Alison, I was advised by AGK to talk to active checkusers. I was wondering if you could help me out with something.
User:Stone put to sky has had checkuser requests filed against him. As you will see four accounts were found to be "likely", but no action appeared to have been taken over them. Three stopped editing but were not blocked. But the fourth, Aho aho, continued to post.
Sky has been blocked for sockpuppetry, so if these accounts can be tied to him then that would show he is attempting to avoid sanctions. But he has also been accused of continual sockpuppetry by other users, so a lack of admin response has led to ill will. I would appreciate if:

Hi Alison. You should check out the Planck units page. I'm certain that Truthnlove has reincarnated himself as 'Palnot'. His style is the same - multiple, persistent edits without collaboration, a fascination with linear equations, irrelevant information etc. In fact, that page is so bothered by banned editors who reinvent themselves that you might start thinking about putting some kind of freeze on it - long enough perhaps for these tragics to develop some other obsession and go elsewhere. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. I was reading your comments at WikipediaReview here and your actions here at Wikipedia on behalf of banned editor Jon Awbrey on the grounds that his ban is negative information that is linked to his real name and shows up in search results. You'll be interested to know that WikipediaReview published the name and location of my employer and that of two other Wikipedians, one of which received a poison pen letter to his boss. It all shows up in search results, too. Since you are very active and respected at WikipediaReview and concerned about personal and negative information being made public on the Web and effectively took the lead for Awbrey here and made a stand, I'm asking you for your help removing my personal information published at WikipediaReview. Contact me by email and I'll provide the posts to delete. Odd nature ( talk) 19:22, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

I need help regarding my RfA in Telugu Wikipedia. I suspect that one of the voters is a sock puppet. But I don't know how to verify. Neither do the other admins in TeWiki. The user is te:User:మౌర్యుడు. My suspicion is based on the fact that his first edit is to vote in the RfA. I have a couple of "enemies" in there.

A user named tripjohnson in vandalizing and making personal attacks. I personally think his ip number should be suspended, but that is not up to me. We have had disagreements on articles but he has taken it too far. He undos most edits I make now (doens't matter what they are). He also made this comment to another user, I guess it was deleted or something but it can still be seen on past version of the American Revolutionary War talk page.
Lying? Where the hell did I lie in there? I wrote that line before I even heard of the site. Do NOT accuse me of lying with no evidence, you hypocritical twat.
Here is the page. http://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Talk%3AAmerican_Revolutionary_War&diff=206064346&oldid=206016865
Report me, you can't block me for editing. It was you two who began this whole mess, not me. Oh and, learn to spell and use proper grammar before you actually make this complaint. It was Red and Plains who began this whole vandalism mess, by reverting articles without discussion, and you two have the cheek to call me a vandal! Damn hypocrites.
http://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Talk%3AAmerican_Revolutionary_War&diff=206017577&oldid=206016865
It was clearly a draw, as neither side held the ground, that just can't seem to go through that thick blinded patriotic naive skull of yours.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Battle_of_Harlem_Heights
Damn hypocrites. With you two it appears those who don't get a boner over the United States and those who disagree with them are wrong. I suppose you two are right and everybody else is wrong?
http://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Talk%3AAmerican_Revolutionary_War&diff=206091601&oldid=206017743
Then he re-wrote his sentence
Lying? Where the hell did I lie in there? I wrote that line before I even heard of the site. Do NOT accuse me of lying with no evidence, you hypocritical twat.

The furthest I went was to said he lied to me and called him stubborn. I would say his surpasses mine.I have no power in this, but if you look back onto his contributions you can see how many times he has ,for no reason. undone my edits. Please contact me ASAP. Thank you. (

Hello Alison,
Just wanted to let you know, I'm monitoring an account that looks like an old "friend." Neillty ( talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) Edits, page moves, copyright violations, and warnings for disruption all look the same. Alison,
I have no idea if I'm doing this right or not, but your user name was on the list of admins that could restore deleted articles. I am looking to restore the article Paul Teed, which I spent many hours maintaining, that was deleted quite unceremoniously. I feel the article satisfies the Wikipedia "professor test" for notability. If you can help, thank you, if not, please let me know who can. Once again, I apologize if you're not the person I should be writing.

Hello Alison. Major pest Polscience is back, now with new socks made at an industrial scale which I am having trouble in controlling. He's even impersonating other users now, such as blocked socks User:Mathcsi and User:Corticopio, whose user pages had been redirected to you can guess who. User:Kotlyarov reported those two on my talk page disrupting Borders of the continents and Asia respectively, but I suspect that Kotlyarov himself might be Polscience too. Could you please run the checkuser on User:Kotlyarov/ User:Polscience, along with User:Inflia, User:Latouche, User:GiseleJ, User:Scholt, User:ColBowers and User:Yulma? Thank you. :-) Regards, Hús ö nd 12:41, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

I would like to invite you to consider taking part in the AGF Challenge which has been proposed for use in the RfA process [4] by User: Kim Bruning. You can answer in multiple choice format, or using essay answers, or anonymously. You can of course skip any parts of the Challenge you find objectionable or inadvisable.-- Filll ( talk) 14:16, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi Alison came across this today have a feeling they are the same editor, USER:AAA2008 created his user page today with what looked like a test edit for Atlantique Air Assistance, it was then blanked by the author of said article, and I dont know if this is breaking any rules or not, but just tought I would bring it to your attention. I have tagged the article with COI tag and is the user name of the editor User talk:Atlantique Air Assistance allowed under wiki guidelines? thanks BigDunc ( talk) 14:07, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Hello, Alison. I wonder if you might agree with me that it would be fair and appropriate to unblock David Lauder's Talk page? What's sauce for the goose, and all that. Thanks for supporting my recent request for adminship which was successful with 89 supports, 0 opposes, and 2 neutrals. Unfortunately all I can offer is this lame text thanks rather than some fancy-smancy thank-you spam template thingy. I was very pleased to receive such strong support and to hear so many nice comments from editors whom I respect. I’ll do my best with the tools, and if you ever see me going astray don’t hesitate to drop a note on my talk page. So is it possible to check whether this guy is a sock or not? I mean can you use the CheckUser tool in other wikis too? Thank you very much. Σαι ( Talk) 01:48, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

I personally don't think you should be taking part in that site anymore. I understand why you (and I) once did, but at this point I find Wikipedia editor (and especially admin) participation there to be highly questionable. --David Shankbone 15:28, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
