Autopatrolled granted

Hi Lajmmoore, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors ( User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! ~Swarm~ {sting} 19:27, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Hi @ Swarm: - thanks very much! I've got the hang of templates (I think) and categories (kind of), but I'm not in a habit with stub-tags and ratings. Will have a look at the guides and the links you sent. Cheers and thank you for the offer of help - it's really appreciated. ( Lajmmoore ( talk) 07:29, 18 May 2020 (UTC))
Apropos of categories, do you know about the lovely little template {{ L}}? It has to be substituted, but in just one line of typing you get the birth and death cats and the DEFAULTSORT (eg getting Branka Raunig to sort under "R" not "B"). If someone is living, it adds the Category:Living people. For example {{subst:L|1935|2008|Raunig, Branka}}. If someone is alive, leave out the death date; if dead but no date availabe, add "missing" or "unknown" as appropriate. If no birth date either, then {{subst:L|||Poppins, Mary}} would create "Living people" and "date of birth missing (living people)" categories as well as the sort key. It's good value in results per keystroke! Pam D 07:52, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
Thanks @ PamD: I hadn't heard of it before! Going to try it now. I always forget Default Sort. Looking forward to picking up some new things. ( Lajmmoore ( talk) 19:11, 18 May 2020 (UTC))

QPQ Reviewing

Hi there new editor! You look really lost and puzzled about all of this, but fear not as I hope that these few bullet points will help you:

  • QPQ is just like returning a favour, and in this case is you review another did you know nomination where you are not involved in the nominated article.
  • When you click the review or comment button, it'll take you to the edit page, which should have all the criteria listed there already (which I presumed you have read already)
  • Start reviewing, any nom isn't an issue. Just help :D
  • there's also a review template for you to copypaste which helps you step-by-step

Hope this helps :D Vincent LUFan ( talk) ( Kenton!) 18:14, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

Thanks v much for the constructive reply @ Vincent60030: will look again! ( Lajmmoore ( talk) 12:00, 26 August 2020 (UTC))

Aight, goodluck! You can also go to WT:DYK the oldest nominations needing DYK reviewers sections to aid in your review :D I also have forgotten to mention that you just need to review the hook and article based on the criteria given. Any question or if you want a second opinion since it is your first feel free to ping the experienced editors or me (provided that I am able to have a good look at the article). Vincent LUFan ( talk) ( Kenton!) 12:18, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

QPQ

Hi, I could help walk you through a QPQ if you'd like. You could choose one from our more experienced editors, like Gerda Arendt or Raymie, who are familiar with the rules. In addition to making sure the five main DYK criteria are met, you should also make sure the hook is interesting. Here are some ideas:

Hi @ Yoninah: Thanks very much for the offer of help (& apologies for the delay in replying, I was away from home) - yes please! If I have a go at one/some of these, it would be great to ask questions. As I said before, I got very overwhelmed when I looked at QPQ-ing. I really do want to learn though. Thanks so much ( Lajmmoore ( talk) 07:34, 2 September 2020 (UTC))
Fyi, you can start out your review by adding your first comments, and you can then later ask for a second opinion. :D That was what I did when I was new to reviewing. Vincent LUFan ( talk) ( Kenton!) 08:59, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
Unfortunately, looks like you might have to choose another nomination to review since all 3 have been reviewed. :/ Vincent LUFan ( talk) ( Kenton!) 09:06, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
OK, so let's try some new nominations:

Roshanne Etezady

Just wanted to offer you this name for the BrassyWomxn project - she's written quite a bit for wind band (I have one of her pieces, Anahita on a disc from Naxos - it seems to be her most popular work, judging by what I've found), so I think she counts. I just tried to cobble together an article, but I'm not quite satisfied with the sources I found, so I decided to leave it be - I'm sending it your way in case you might have more luck than I did. Either way, I'm excited to see what the project turns up - I'd offer more help, but brass music isn't a field with which I'm especially familiar, so I'm not sure how much help I would be. -- Ser Amantio di Nicolao Che dicono a Signa? Lo dicono a Signa. 02:47, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Ser Amantio di Nicolao, Thanks so much for this! I've passed her on to the rest of the group and hopefully we can get a page sorted! Lajmmoore ( talk) 08:10, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Please see note on your DYK review. Yoninah ( talk) 21:21, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi, if you're going to participate at DYK you need to be more specific in your reviews. Just applying a tick means nothing. As explained in WP:DYKR, your review of a hook should indicate all aspects of the article that you have reviewed. Please be explicit so other editors and promoters can see what you have checked. Thanks, Yoninah ( talk) 13:40, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
Yoninah, Thanks for the message - just for clarification, does a new checklist need to be done if it changes to an ALT hook? Or do the preceding comments still stand? I'm also a bit confused about when a different reviewer needs to sign off the DYKs? I had thought for this one, I was just adding to the discussion rather than acting as a reviewer because I'd proposed a change of tack to the Nigeria fact in the thread? Thanks for the help! You'll remember that I was really struggling a few months ago with DYK, so thanks for the support. Lajmmoore ( talk) 15:06, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
Hi, sorry I didn't get back to you till now. No, a new checklist is not necessary. The second reviewer is simply checking whether the hook fact is verified by the source and cited inline.
BTW it wasn't at all clear from the thread that you proposed the ALT2 hook, because you didn't sign your post there. That's why I asked you to continue your review. Per Rule H2 you cannot review your own hook, so someone else will have to check ALT4.
Have you reviewed the page DYK Supplementary guidelines? A lot of DYK issues stem from there. Thanks, Yoninah ( talk) 20:41, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

I saw the image in Trowelblazers, but as it said "Image by kind permission of Orkney Library & Archive. http://www.orkneylibrary.org.uk/ " I didn't think it was right to include it in the article (though it's lovely, isn't it, and so clear and sharp). I see that in the file description you've put it as "Author or copyright owner: unknown", and the Orkney Library don't get a mention. That doesn't seem right at all. It's a while since I knew about copyright in detail but I'm pretty sure they should at least get a mention in the file description, shouldn't they? Perhaps under "other information" it would be useful to add "The reproduction in "Trowelblazers" is annotated "Image by kind permission of Orkney Library & Archive. http://www.orkneylibrary.org.uk/" ", not least because this would be useful information for anyone seeking to get permission to reproduce it elsewhere? Though I suppose they'd find that statement fast enough by clicking on Trowelblazers, but of course websites can disappear, have temporary tech problems, change their URLs, etc. Sorry, I'm rambling a bit as I think this through. Yes, I think a note in the "other info" would be helpful all round. Happy Editing, stay safe, Pam D 18:48, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

PamD, Hi - yes you're absolutely right! I was adding it quickly this morning (too quickly, clearly) but I'll go and edit the file description now. I think it would still be OK under Fair Use to have it on the page. Thanks for messaging Lajmmoore ( talk) 19:07, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

Convoi des 31000

Hi there, Lajmmoore. As you have probably noticed, I've been through your draft and tried to make it acceptable for mainspace. It's not easy to use machine translation for this type of article but I can see you put quite a lot of effort into it. It's often better to adapt the presentation of such accounts to an English-speaking audience by drawing more heavily on sources in English and emphasizing the points which are of more international interest. Nevertheless, as Nattes à chat had specifically requested a "translation", I suggest you go ahead and move it into mainspace. It might be a good idea to check for over wikilinking and to enlarge a bit on the lead. Please let me know if ever you need further assistance. Thanks also for your other efforts in connection with the Holocaust and congratulations on becoming a well-deserved Editor of the Week.-- Ipigott ( talk) 16:03, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

Ipigott, Thanks very much for looking over it and thanks very much for the alterations. I'll go back and have a look at the links and the lead too. Very appreciative of the help and time you've given :) Lajmmoore ( talk) 16:09, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

Ways to improve Stephanie Wynne-Jones

Hello, Lajmmoore,

Thank you for creating Stephanie Wynne-Jones.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

It would be really helpful if you could add independent sources that discuss Wynne-Jones. Please see out notability guideline for academics, WP:NPROF

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Vexations}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

My works

Hello. My works in sciences and engineering are not only in chemistry and nanotechnology. My works in philosophy including my philosophical system (netism) and my other papers are not about Islam or any other religion. I have never written about any religion. There is no review or discussion on Islam or any other religion in my paper including netism that was published here by the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia. This encyclopedia is not restricted to religion, but it also includes entries in philosophy, social sciences (history, geography, linguistics), etc. Concerning my literary works, my poem books and short story books were published by several publishers such as Novin Pajhoohesh publishing, Arvin publishing, etc. and not only one publisher as you have mentioned in the entry on my name. My art works that are not mentioned in this entry are also important parts of my works. Therefore, this entry on Wikipedia is a brief biography. Thank you for your attention. Taraneh Javanbakht ( talk) 17:35, 17 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi @ 135.23.194.236: Thanks very much for these clarifications - do you have secondary sources to your artwork? The reason I didn't include them as I couldn't find secondary references, but I'd be really pleased to add them. Thanks very much ( Lajmmoore ( talk) 18:35, 17 February 2020 (UTC))
Hi @ 135.23.194.236: - I added a sentence and changed the detail on netism, apologies for the mistake. If you have a secondary source to Novin Pajhoohesh publisher (language doesn't matter) I'd love to add a citation. ( Lajmmoore ( talk) 22:33, 17 February 2020 (UTC))
My biography and reviews of my works have been published in many secondary sources that you can upload some of them from the below links:

- Radio Zamaneh:

http://archive.is/1gyl

http://zamaaneh.com/ravi/2007/05/post_93.html

- Reviews on my works:

The pdf files of journals including reviews on my works that were published in Iran:

http://javanbakht.net/Heydary-Mardomsaalaari.pdf

http://javanbakht.net/Roozan-MehdiMousavi.pdf

http://javanbakht.net/Sharifnia-Roozan.pdf

http://javanbakht.net/Khesareh-Etemaademelli.pdf

http://javanbakht.net/Attaraan-Etemaademelli.pdf

http://archive.is/UQ4L0

You can also upload them from the list of reviews on my works that is available here:

http://javanbakht.net/en/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=31

Other secondary sources are published books and you can find their list in the below link:

http://javanbakht.net/en/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=60

You can also find other secondary sources (news agencies, newspapers, radios, etc.) from the below link:

http://javanbakht.net/en/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=9

However, I think that Wikipedia is not a real encyclopedia as most notable sources and information are censored in its entries. Thanks. Taraneh Javanbakht — Preceding unsigned comment added by 135.23.194.236 ( talk) 23:03, 17 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi, here are the links of two secondary sources about my poem book including my name and the name of Novin Pajoohesh publishing:

Other publishers republished other editions of my poem books and short story books. Here is the link concerning the publication of the third edition of my other book:

Question from Mister Nares (16:46, 3 December 2021)

Hi Mentor! Unfortunately I'm too old to learn this, I have tried to write an article about a trend which I have invented but it was not approved. I sincerely don't understand anything on this site and I am very confused. Can you please explain to me in simple ways the steps I have to take in order to publish? Thank you so much, Bogdan -- Mister Nares ( talk) 16:46, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

Hello Mister Nares, If I were you'd I'd follow this link [1] and then follow the introduction to Wikipedia there. I took a look at your draft and you need to provide reliable sources to support your infomation IF the topic is important enough for Wikipedia. It is not a place for original research (which sounds like your concept is). Good luck!! Lajmmoore ( talk) 21:52, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

Infobox museum

Is there a reason you did not use Template:Infobox museum for the article Cook Islands National Museum? Template:Infobox non-profit does not seem suited for the task. Abductive ( reasoning) 18:56, 2 September 2021 (UTC)

Abductive, Thanks for pointing this out - I hadn't realised there was a museum specific box - I'd copied using the non-profit box from a similar page Looking forward to using the museum box in future. Lajmmoore ( talk) 15:12, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

Hallo

Good to "meet" you yesterday! I lived in Leeds till moving to rural Lancashire to care for my Mother (and worked at Uni Library for many years), so have edited bits and pieces of Leeds stuff over the years. Now I just dip into whatever takes my fancy, as a retired layabout, and tend to get lured off down time-sink rabbit-holes on a wide range of topics. See my page creation list on my user page: I'm really glad I've kept that list over the years as otherwise I'd have no recollection of why I created some of those pages. They tend to be solidly-source, well-cross-referenced little stubs, enough to help the reader get access to some good sources of info on the topic. Pam D 12:09, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Hi @ PamD: it was really nice to "meet" you too! I really enjoy editing - it's really fun to get stuck into a topic or a person. One of my goals is to work on more Leeds articles, especially women linked to the city. Looking forward to seeing your next articles. ( Lajmmoore ( talk) 07:25, 18 May 2020 (UTC))

Question from Stablejoyrush (16:11, 15 June 2022)

Hey there, I'm new here. Will get started editing soon hopefully — but first off, I wanted to add a photo to my grandfather's page, because he doesn't have one. Does that count as a conflict of interest? If not, would you be able to help me? -- Stablejoyrush ( talk) 16:11, 15 June 2022 (UTC)

Hi @ Stablejoyrush thanks for reaching out. Would you be happy for anyone to reproduce the image? If so then adding it to Wikimedia Commons would be a generous thing to do. They have an easy uploader: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard. You're right in that editing your grandfather's page would count as a conflict of interest. If you are happy to upload the image to commons (which is less stringent than Wikipedia in some ways), let me know and I'll add it for you. Lajmmoore ( talk) 16:25, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
Hi @ Lajmmoore, done! Here's the image: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:SirDavidButler2019.jpg. And this is his article: /info/en/?search=David_Butler_(psephologist). I would be very grateful if you could help me by adding it. Stablejoyrush ( talk) 16:42, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
double done @ Stablejoyrush! Feel free to come back with any other questions. If you feel there are issues that should be addressed in David Butler's article, as a a relative the best thing to do is add the as a new discussion to the talk page. Happy editing! Question from Mkhehlezi (21:31, 9 May 2022)

Hi how can I create my own biography? -- Mkhehlezi ( talk) 21:31, 9 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi @ Mkhehlezi - welcome to Wikipedia! I'm a little confused - do you mean how do your create a Wikipedia entry for yourself? Or do you mean how to start writing a biography? If its the former - DON'T - this would be seen as a major conflict of interest, so please don't try. If it's how you start a biography for someone else, what I would recommend is you start with basic edits - perhaps the suggested edits on your Homepage tab, and then build from there! You can also find infomation at WP:Biography. If you're interested in editing about women, I would recommend joining WP:Women in Red. Happy editing! Lajmmoore ( talk) 09:18, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

Question from Slavomyr80 (05:09, 7 May 2022)

@ Slavomyr80 yes, that's correct! You need to make at least ten edits to existing articles, which helps you learn how Wikipedia works. These can be adding content, or things like checking grammar, etc. Lajmmoore ( talk) 05:40, 8 May 2022 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that Lajmmoore/sandbox/Judith Alpi, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be a test page. (See section G2 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
  • It is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. (See section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Question from AnthonyPapp (04:14, 8 February 2022)

Hi, I just created an account with my name, but I want to write an article about something else, not about me. Do i need to create another account with a different name or can i just give a page a different name? -- AnthonyPapp ( talk) 04:14, 8 February 2022 (UTC)

Hey @ AnthonyPapp - so think of your account name and your username, and the page for that as like a profile page? Don't set up more than one account. I'd recommend making at least ten edits on existing pages, so you can gain an understanding of how editing works. This could be adding references, checking spelling and grammar, etc. Have you done the Wikipedia Adventure? it introduces you to lots of tools. There's a guide for starting new pages here, but I would strongly encourage you to do some other editing tasks first. Someone will review your first page, and it might not be accepted, if it's not fulfilling the criteria of notability and neutrality. I'd also check whether you have a conflict of interest with the topic e.g. is it to do with your place of work? Hope this helps. Lajmmoore ( talk) 08:20, 8 February 2022 (UTC)

Hello, Can i prevent unknown users from editing my page? I've looked on various forums but cannot seem to find the method. -- Portcullis Lodge ( talk) 15:22, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

Hello @ Portcullis Lodge - to be honest I don't think that is possible, unless individual IP addresses are barred, which is not something I know anything about. A good place to ask about it, since you're a new editor would be the Teahouse - there are a lot of very friendly and experienced editors there, who might be able to give a better answer. hello i recently took a beautiful picture of a peach hibiscus can u pls show me how to upload a picture into a page -- R12wan ( talk) 14:13, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

Hello @ R12wan Thanks for your message. Have you uploaded your image to Wikimedia Commons? That's a sister project where most of Wikipedia's images live. If not, instructions are here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard
Once you've added your image, you can add it to any page - click edit, then put your cursor where you want the image to go and then go to Insert, then Image. You should then be able to search for the filename you saved your hibiscus as. Happy editing Lajmmoore ( talk) 20:44, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

Question from Cát trắng (08:07, 27 January 2022)

Good afternoon, I'm White sands. How should I translate pages from English Wikipedia to another language Wikipedia? -- Cát trắng It's simple⛅ 08:07, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

Hello Cát trắng so I think you need to find the guidance that is written for the Wikipedia you want to translate too and see what that says. The guidance on EN is here Wikipedia:Translation but this is for pages translated from other languages to English. I'd see what your target language Wikipedia has to say, and go from there. I'm interested in building out Niue bios, and I was searching around on Google to see if there was enough for me to build a stub about her, and I wasn't able to find anything significant. Could you please point me to where you found information to buildout her Wikidata entry? Thanks! Upjav ( talk) 16:46, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Hey Upjav - so I *think* I just came across her in this link, but I didn't look any further I am afraid. I hope it helps! Lajmmoore ( talk) 16:49, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
Thanks! I'll see if I can find anything else that would give enough substance for an article. Upjav ( talk) 19:04, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Faustina K. Rehuher-Marugg

Hello Lajmmoore, I'm new-ish to Wikipedia and not sure what the right next steps are - I created a Wiki page for Faustina K. Rehuher-Marugg at 20:02 today, but can see you also published your page at 20:22 - I assume we're both doing the Women in Oceania contest! Just wondering what the best way to address this is, as there are now two pages for her - my Faustina K. Rehuher-Marugg and your Faustina Rehuher-Marugg. Thanks, Whalesworld ( talk) 20:37, 1 October 2021 (UTC)

Hey @ Whalesworld: - it's a great page. Don't worry about it, I've just merged them now. A tip for when you're starting any new page is to see if there's something already in the draftspace - just put "Draft: ..." before the name. It doesn't pick up drafts in sandboxes (which I why I didn't see yours), but can help you see if someone else is already working on a person. This stuff happens, so don't worry about it! Happy editing Lajmmoore ( talk) 20:43, 1 October 2021 (UTC)

Incomplete DYK nomination

Hello! Your submission of Template:Did you know nominations/Saint Ninnoc at the Did You Know nominations page is not complete; if you would like to continue, please link the nomination to the nominations page as described in step 3 of the nomination procedure. If you do not want to continue with the nomination, tag the nomination page with {{ db-g7}}, or ask a DYK admin. Thank you. DYKHousekeepingBot ( talk) 09:21, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

I think you forgot to add {{Did you know nominations/Saint Ninnoc}} to the nominations page under October 29th, which I have now done. Cwmhiraeth ( talk) 06:19, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
Cwmhiraeth, Thanks very much - that's really kind! I'll double check in future. Lajmmoore ( talk) 08:38, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

Lajmmoore, if you intend to use the {{ DYK checklist}} template, you need to fill out the status field. Without it—whatever the current status is now (it can be changed later as the issues are dealt with)—your comment and sig do not appear, and the template displays an "incomplete" message. Please be sure to return as soon as possible to take care of this. Many thanks. BlueMoonset ( talk) 19:29, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

BlueMoonset, Thanks for the reminder, and sorry for the mistake/absent-mindedness! Lajmmoore ( talk) 19:36, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

Rings from the hoard
Rings from the hoard

Hi, I promoted your ALT1 with the image to Prep 1. But it is not at all clear that this image is showing only one ring. It appears to be showing both the round bezel ring at left and something else. Please clarify this for me. Thanks, Yoninah ( talk) 23:09, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

Yoninah, thanks! It is four views of the one ring, sorry - you're totally right it wasn't clear. I've edited the caption in the DYK nomination, so hopefully it's clearer. Let me know if not. Lajmmoore ( talk) 09:51, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

The pdf files of journals including reviews on my works that were published in Iran:

http://javanbakht.net/Roozan-MehdiMousavi.pdf

http://javanbakht.net/Sharifnia-Roozan.pdf

http://javanbakht.net/Khesareh-Etemaademelli.pdf

http://javanbakht.net/Attaraan-Etemaademelli.pdf

http://archive.is/UQ4L0

You can also upload them from the list of reviews on my works that is available here:

http://javanbakht.net/en/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=31

Other secondary sources are published books and you can find their list in the below link:

http://javanbakht.net/en/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=60

You can also find other secondary sources (news agencies, newspapers, radios, etc.) from the below link:

DYK for Maison James Norman Hall

On 26 November 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Maison James Norman Hall, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the James Norman Hall Museum is where the The Bounty Trilogy was written? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/La Maison James Norman Hall. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page ( here's how, Maison James Norman Hall), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

@ Slavomyr80 yes, that's correct! You need to make at least ten edits to existing articles, which helps you learn how Wikipedia works. These can be adding content, or things like checking grammar, etc. Lajmmoore ( talk) 05:40, 8 May 2022 (UTC)

Question from Papadimi2310 (19:11, 14 March 2022)

Hello and nice to meet you , Im Stylianos and im director of films and also my name is listed on IMDb with my award winner film , and i want to create a page with my name and my film on wikipedia so me and my film can be easily getting noticed on internet -- Papadimi2310 ( talk) 19:11, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

Hello @ Papadimi2310 - it's not a good idea to work on your own Wikipedia page. You wouldn't be able to avoid a conflict of interest, and neither is Wikipedia a place for advertising. You're welcome to work on pages that you are unrelated to though. Happy editing. Lajmmoore ( talk) 20:50, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

Would appreciate your help

Hello Lajmmoore, I trust you're well. This article contains a voice recording of the subject's name. I have tried to replicate it on another article but don't seem to know how it was done.

Can you help me with an explanation or a resource I could read. I'd be most grateful.

Thanks OtuNwachinemere ( talk) 16:29, 9 February 2022 (UTC)

IPA-fr (which is in the templates list on English wiki). Where are you wanting to add it to? I'm not sure if other wikis have the same templates as EN? If this isn't helpful, I'd suggest posting the question of the Women in Red talk page, and I'm sure someone there will have the knowledge! Lajmmoore ( talk) 08:59, 10 February 2022 (UTC)

Question from Portcullis Lodge (15:22, 6 February 2022)

Hello, Can i prevent unknown users from editing my page? I've looked on various forums but cannot seem to find the method. -- Portcullis Lodge ( talk) 15:22, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

Hello @ Portcullis Lodge - to be honest I don't think that is possible, unless individual IP addresses are barred, which is not something I know anything about. A good place to ask about it, since you're a new editor would be the Teahouse - there are a lot of very friendly and experienced editors there, who might be able to give a better answer. Lajmmoore ( talk) 17:23, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

Question from R12wan (14:13, 1 February 2022)

hello i recently took a beautiful picture of a peach hibiscus can u pls show me how to upload a picture into a page -- R12wan ( talk) 14:13, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

Remember that notability is different between Wikipedias too Lajmmoore ( talk) 16:32, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

hello, when the man the do that happen when then? -- Cantseedeezipnumbers ( talk) 18:50, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

Question from Merbutec (19:47, 20 January 2022)

Hi Lajmmoore,

Thanks for being my mentor. I'd like to know is it possible for me to write about my company on Wikipedia so long as I write factually and without bias? -- Merbutec ( talk) 19:47, 20 January 2022 (UTC)

Hello Merbutec - it is possible, but not recommended. The first thing you should do is publish on your user page what the company is and that you may have a conflict of interest with them. Lajmmoore ( talk) 16:34, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

Question from Violine1 (17:10, 14 January 2022)

Mana Talagi

Hi Lajmoore, I saw you created a wikidata item on Mana Talagi [ [2]].

Beatrice de Graaf

Hi Lajmmoore, I just saw you updated the maintenance tags on the page of Beatrice de Graaf. Have you looked whether the maintenance tags could be removed? Mathijsloo ( talk) 16:28, 25 September 2022 (UTC)

hi @ Mathijsloo thanks for the message, removing the tags isn't something I feel comfortable doing, as there was so much activity on the page. Perhaps see if someone at WP:WikiProject Biography, or WP:WikiProject Women in Red might? Lajmmoore ( talk) 08:34, 26 September 2022 (UTC)

Help with Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan article

Hi. I see you’re a member of the Women in Red WikiProject. I’ve made a number of proposals to update the article about Jenny Durkan, the first openly gay mayor of Seattle. Talk:Jenny Durkan#Proposals September 2022 I have a conflict of interest because I have a personal (unpaid) connection to Durkan. Do you have time for an independent review? Thanks!. 1920sportsfan ( talk) 17:55, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
