Troitsky District ( Russian: Тро́ицкий райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [4] district ( raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the eastern central part of the krai. The area of the district is 4,200 square kilometers (1,600 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Troitskoye. [1] Population: 24,868 ( 2010 Russian census); [3] 30,538 ( 2002 Census); [6] 34,383 ( 1989 Soviet census). [7] The population of Troitskoye accounts for 40.4% of the district's total population. [3]
