Togulsky District ( Russian: То́гульский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [3] district ( raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the east of the krai. The area of the district is 2,000 square kilometers (770 sq mi).[ citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Togul. [1] Population: 8,478 ( 2010 Russian census); [2] 10,450 ( 2002 Census); [5] 11,431 ( 1989 Soviet census). [6] The population of Togul accounts for 51.3% of the district's total population. [2]
