Zaz-e Sharqi Rural District ( Persian: دهستان زز شرقي), formerly Zaz Rural District (دهستان زز), is in Zaz va Mahru District of Aligudarz County, Lorestan province, Iran. [3] It is administered from the city of Shulabad. [4]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 7,169 in 1,246 households. [5] There were 5,634 inhabitants in 1,176 households at the following census of 2011. [6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 4,904 in 1,268 households. The most populous of its 70 villages was Pir Emam, with 580 people. [2]
