Improve/create any article related to the United States whenever you feel like it!

We started on November 1, 2016, and you can help!
The basic aim will be 50,000 article improvements and creations for the United States, based on
The 10,000 Challenge. The rough intention is 1,000 article improvements and creations for each of the 50 states, though inevitably some states will get far more attention than others.
The main focus is on improving existing article quality for the United States, fleshing out those stale old stubs or bloated/poorly sourced material and clean up, though all articles are welcome. However, please try to avoid creating shorter stubs and unsourced material.
Know somebody who might be interested in contributing? Alert them, and ask them to invite others! You can use {{US50 Invite}} to do so. Spread the word and try to get more Wikipedians involved!

Goals
To improve the quality of existing articles related to the United States, and to encourage more editors to improve general article quality and sourcing. Destubbing/cleaning up/sourcing stale older articles, particularly on places and landmarks, is especially welcome.
To encourage the creation of quality missing content, and build a highly comprehensive coverage of the United States on English Wikipedia. In doing so, to develop a detailed missing article directory for the U.S., by state and topic, to promote long-term growth and overall scope.
To generate a momentum for the U.S. and to stage contests/editathons which fuel growth and attract people to develop articles more evenly by area. Many state WikiProjects are currently barely active but might have a few dedicated editors who plow on and do most of the work anyway. If you feel like one of those people, this challenge could be a way to attract new editors to work on articles for your state, to increase interest, and to get projects more active again.
In the long term, to continue to build bridges with more institutions within the U.S. and to get them to see the potential of Wikipedia. To continue to get libraries, universities, and cultural institutions involved in hosting editathons and in forming partnerships with Wikipedia in contests to promote growth and interest in each state.

00:46, 9 May 2019 (UTC) I don’t have a preference for any state, I mainly care about new politicians and making sure those running for office have an appropriate article. I also care about social movements, protests, boycotts, etc. and American businesses.reply
Please list U.S.-related articles you have improved/created here starting in November 2016. Place newer entries at the bottom of the list. Be sure to note whether it's a new article or destubbing, an article cleanup/expansion/reference improvement, etc., and be sure to credit yourself.
Please try to ensure that all entries are sourced with formatted citations and that there are no unsourced claims. Try to avoid creating short stubs, though lengthy stubs are welcome. Embolden entries which have been promoted to GA/FA status following successful nominations.
Once you have finished adding your article to the list, please put it the
state by state list for categorization.
