This user lives in Midlothian, Chesterfield County, Virginia and has been active as a volunteer writer, editor, and Wikimedia Commons photographer for Wikipedia since 2014.

She has an M.A. in British and American Literature from Auburn University and an M.F.A. in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition, she earned a B.S. in Art Education from the University of Tennessee and a B.F.A., also in Painting and Printmaking (with a minor in Art History), from The School of the Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a volunteer editor and receives no payment for anything she writes or photographs for Wikipedia. She is the wife of economist Thomas MacGillivray Humphrey.

She is a visual artist interested in history, biography, science, and philosophy, and seeks to research, write, and edit articles for Wikipedia that are accurately documented by both words and images. Some other interests are legal justice, political activism, genealogy, gardening, vegetarianism, and uploading images to Wikimedia Commons. She is a member of Pi Lambda Theta, an honor society for professional educators in the United States and a member of Phi Kappa Phi, "the oldest all-discipline honor society." She became an ordained Elder of the Presbyterian Church (USA) on June 10, 2018.
