Can you somehow put an edit notice on this page saying that future services/carriers must have an actual start date and a source? A vast couple of IPs continue to add EasyJet as starting services and "April 2012" is not a date. We have made hidden notes (4 times already) but it keeps getting reworded. Great stuff! I'm starting to get in your way, I think (we had two Ima Hoggs for a while...) so I'll move elsewhere and perhaps have a poke around later, if you like. I've boldly got rid of the "news" section and I'd suggest doing the same for the "Music, art and culture" section (saving any decent articles for the article/biography sections) unless of course you think you've got enough articles to make it viable. It's looking much better already. Bencherlite Talk 19:41, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Can you take a look at this? Delta's service to ATL will suspended for the winter and will resume next summer (hence seasonal). Hello WhisperToMe,
I noticed you marked an article as a
stub using the {{

I know there are a significant number of people who are offended when US is referred to as America. In the case of articles like those related to Guam, the "more proper" form seems even more appropriate as it is a legal territory of the Unites States of America. An article I created Canal 5 (which is a Mexican broadcast television network with about 100 affiliate local stations thoughout Mexico) got renamed to Canal 5 (Televisa Network). For the last 5 years it erroneously redirected to the network's flagship station XHGC-TV. Seeing that plus there aren't any networks or stations with Canal 5 as their official name, some local stations are just informally known as canal 5 (channel 5). I created the article for the Canal 5 network. 100% (hundreds) of the articles that link to Canal 5 are intended for the network article I created. The user renamed Canal 5 I created without any discussion. He added cfds to the articles pertaining the network although there aren't any networks with Canal 5 as their name. See Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2011 July 4. Can I rename this article back to its original name and add the other uses template leading to canal 5 disamiguation (which would only have two links the article I created and Canal 5 Noticias C5N an argntine cable television news channel)? In my opinion a network's official name outranks stations' informal names and I don't want to start a wikipedian redirect war LOL. thank you for your time, - AMAPO ( talk) 11:59, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

WhisperToMe, the NYT article simply references Hajratwala's blog. MacMaster and others have publicly disputed the "facts" that are reported. Hence, simply showing that one unreliable source was repeated doesn't make it reliable. That is one lesson of this whole affair. Again, there's no real reason to insist on placing one insignificant person's claims against another insignificant person in the articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joatsimeon ( talk • contribs) 17:20, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

I don't know if your page is the correct place to reply to the concerns about verifiability, so I have editing your page and mine. You had concerns regarding original research etc, regarding the causes of the crash and systemic material,(presumably). The material I commented as "commonly known" and referenced earlier on this page, has now been published in numerous formats including the NTSB report, the Thai version of the Crash Report, the British Coroner's report and several news articles. Therefore, I plan to update the information in the article and remove the dispute tag. InvestigateUdom ( talk) 14 July 2011 (UTC)

It was recently suggested that WikiProject Mexican-Americans, to which you are a member, may be inactive or semi active and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. After reviewing the project it appears that there have not been any active discussions on the talk page in some time and the only content updates appear to be simple maintenance so being supported by a larger project might be beneficial. I have begun a discussion on the projects talk page to see how the members of the project feel about this suggestion. -- Kumioko ( talk) 00:27, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

My point is it is overkill to add three references when once suffices. Let's stick to one reference and if anybody challenges it we can back it up with further references.
Secondly please consider your tone - telling me what I can say in an article and where to say it is perhaps not the most constructive form of communication. Comes across a bit like ownership.
Please consider that this is a featured article, and to have " Westminster, City of Westminster, London," in the intro, breaking the flow of an already long sentence is not appropriate for what should be prose of the highest quality. It is certainly worth a mention in the main body if you think that is important.

Hi, WhisperToMe. I stumbled across File:ContinentalSquare.JPG, a photo you took of a building in France. You haven't tagged it with a free license tag, and in fact you added a non-free use rationale to it, citing the fact that architectural works in France retain a copyright. That's probably true—I don't know much about French copyright law. But even if the building itself is under copyright protection, the act of photographing it creates a new (additional) copyright, correct? So it seems to me that you should freely license the copyright you hold in the photographic aspects of the image: the angle of the photograph, the time of day, the framing of the shot, and so forth. Sure, the building itself will still be copyrighted, and so the image as a whole won't be free, but your contributions will be free at least.
The other question I have about this image is how the non-free aspect of it meshes with WP:NFCC, especially point 3b (low resolution; this is a high-resolution photograph) and point 4 (previous publication; I assume this photograph hasn't been previously published outside of Wikipedia, but maybe the fact that the building exists counts as being "publicly displayed"?). What is your interpretation of the policy in this instance? — Bkell ( talk) 20:39, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Either it's a community or it's not. If it's a community, it needs to have the state name attached unless it's on the AP list of well-known cities. Moreover, the intro for the article says that it's a prison: it does not say that it's any sort of community. If you believe that it's the type of place that begins on this template, you need to repurpose it. Better idea: try to write a separate article about the area where the free people live. Hi! You recently added Punjab in the satop template of Islamabad article. As per official sources, Islamabad Capital Territory is not included in the Punjab province and is a separate administrative unit. Now my knowledge can be incorrect, I should find a proper source. I have removed Punjab for now, if you feel that is incorrect please feel free to revert my edit. Cheers Samar ( Talk . Contributions) 17:16, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Aircraft Accident Investigation Board requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Adamdaley ( talk) 23:18, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

You recently removed the convention on this list that all names follow the Japanese name order (family name, given name). While your solution of following the Japanese order for politicians born before 1868, and the Western order for those born in 1868 or later, follows the letter of MOS:JAPAN, it is extremely confusing and inconsistent in a list which spans the two periods without a gap. For instance, Wakatsuki Reijirō and Osachi Hamaguchi were born only four years apart, and were consecutive Prime Ministers, but their names now follow different orders. I recommend that this be reconsidered. BartBassist ( talk) 16:49, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

I see that Continental has moved its headquarters from Houston to Chicago. But however, shouldn't we keep this article and its infobox historical up until the merger (i.e. frequent flyer progam was OnePass; lounge was Presidents Club, and HQ was Houston, TX but now Chicago, IL). I think that the headquarters parameter should include both Houston and Chicago cause historically, CO was based in Houson up until the merger. I think that we should wait once the merger is completed, the infobox should we kept pre-merger (at least). Snoozlepet ( talk) 21:14, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi, WhisperToMe - I don't suppose you know anyone who could create and run a bot for this.
For anyone who has linked references to search results obtained at Texas Historic Sites Atlas, please note that they changed their URL somewhat. If you linked to a reference obtained by right-clicking and then "Open Link in a new window", the result of opening in a new window is where they changed the address. In essence, they removed the "common/" part of the address. Rather than the Texas Historical Commission just redirecting links going to the old address, it seems it will be up to the individual editor to go back and manually correct such links the editor may have inserted in any Wikipedia article.
Here's details of the difference:
All they did was remove the word "common" and a forward slash, but it messes up any Wikipedia links out there to the old address.

Thank you for uploading File:NightwingSculpture.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn ( talk) 22:24, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Olá. I appreciate your invite on stub-creation, but its not my thing: I like content elaboration rather then merely adding short blurbs (not barring data editing) or even stub creation. Further, although born in Portugal and working here for five years, I do not tend to edit on the Portuguese-side of Wikipedia: its a wild west environment, with many nationalists unfriendly to the rules on the English counterpart. In fact, you will notice that many of the "conventions" pages are not available or not followed. But, that is my personal opinion. In regards to your request for pictures. Sorry. I am in the Azores, and apart from two short hops to the continent in the past two years, my photo-taking has been limited to this region. This is a matter of opinion I guess. If you look at some new articles then they do have links back to portals. If you look at the French wikipedia then they do it on every article. Personally I think it is inappropriate and would lead to people like Obama carrying ads for every portal from Africa to Hawaii. I'm happy to agree to differ but you will see that only some projects encourage this and only some editors include them. As I feel strongly that we should not advertise then I see these as a step in the wrong direction. Should someone be really interested in finding the "Christianity Portal" then they will find it. I don't want to see that portal advertised on everyone' article who may have been christian - I can imagine that some people would and I#m not sure it would be because of their enthusiasm for Wikipedia but for Christianity (nice idea, but doesnt need ads on Wikipedia). On the topics of Pics, I was driving down Memorial park a few days ago and noticed how many trees were marked to be cut down. I think one of us needs to hustle down to take a good picture showing the line of trees with the markings. I'll give it a shout, but I'm hardly in that area that often and it would require a good enough of a walk to find the "right" composition.
Also, I plan on doing a doing a photo run of the rail lines under construction. Thank you for uploading File:Athens Landsat.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Kindly look at Ehsan Mehmood Khan, an article about a Pakistani defence and security analyst who has studied at National Defense University Washington D.C and is now pursuing M.Phil from National Defence University, Pakistan. Khan has written extensively on defence, security, terrorism, strategic issues, etc in various national and international newspapers, magazines and journals. His articles have been cited by reputable academics and analysts. A number of reliable sources and secondary references have been incorporated in the article. Article has though been created by another editor User:JC Bills. Unfortunately, owing to egoistic edit feud of one User:Ehsan Sehgal who has now changed his user identity as User:Justice007 (and who incidentally belongs to same district of Pakistan wherefrom Ehsan Mehmood Khan do), there is edit warring going on. The said user has been placing WP:Notability and WP:Reliable sources maintenance tags every now and then. Now on his behest, one other editor has proposed the article for deletion. Though I have not created the article yet I know sufficiently about the subject. May be, I am going to add few pictures of Ehsan Mehmood Khan with Mike Mullen in future. You are requested to visit the article and take just and fair decision as admin and remove the notability, reliable sources and AFD tags by deciding the issue per justice and fair play. A tag has been placed on Nortwest Airways requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. William 17:19, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
Hi WhisperToMe, you recently removed a deletion tag from Nortwest Airways. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove speedy deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the tag. Although the deletion proposal may be incorrect, removing the tag is not the correct way for you to contest the deletion, even if you are more experienced than the nominator. Instead, please use the talk page to explain why the page should not be deleted. Remember to be patient, there is no harm in waiting for another experienced user to review the deletion and judge what the right course of action is. As you are involved, and therefore potentially biased, you should refrain from doing this yourself. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot ( talk) 17:30, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

I have deleted these articles. As you obviously are aware they were deleted in 2007, after AFD discussion, a wheel war and an arbcom case - where a user was severely sanctioned for his cavalier attitude to BLP. The will of the community and BLP was quite clear. Recreating an two articles on this chap, with images and "BLP headers" on the pretext of bit parts in films, (linked to articles you also created), without any discussion to see if people agreed with your assertion of growing notability, when you knew the extreme BLP controversy surrounding this, strikes me as wholly irresponsible, disruption to make a point, and borderline trolling. I've asked other admins to review your other BLP contributions. I'm going to leave it at that for now, but I suggest you don't play games with BLP.-- Scott Mac 01:10, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

The article La Fiesta has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

Hi! I checked the official report. They use the term "異常事態発生機定位置" for "Explosion site". So please use it. See page 2 of this pdf file. As for "Part", they use number 1 to 6 to describe the 6 broken parts of the bulkhead. See page 33 of the pdf file. According to other official report pdf file, they call the "Part" A and B as ベイ/bei/bay. See page 12. Bay 2 and 3 were single row riveted/1列リベット結合. Bay 1, 4, and 5 were double row riveted/2列リベット結合. This en page and its fig. 5 and fig. 2 would be very helpful, I should say. The Japanese page is here. I think it might be accurate to use the term "Bay A". and I have come up with a non-standard way of dealing with it. I am going to pitch my solution to half a dozen long term editors whom I respect and get some feedback. I am picking you off my watchlist. I am confused, sober and looking for answers and honesty. It all starts with the Ignore all rules postulate.
Over the years I have amassed a lot of documentary materials. My great-grandfather lived in China, my grandfather was born there. Both took pictures. My grandfather took pictures as a doctor in both WWI and WWII. I have become the family archivist and I call the collection the Carpchives. In an earlier wikipedia incarnation this collection was referred to as the eekives. It was involved in a quite heated discussion here [3] - Disputed Image section and eventually the picture was removed. By me, as I recall. The picture in question was of my father-in-law in the US Merchant Marines during WWII. Another picture taken during the Boxer rebellion has since been removed. It was a bit funky, for sure.
There are a number of signatures that I've added to articles, some from my family archives, some I've had signed, other turn up in used books. Some of this stuff that is already in wikipedia is here:
I'm pretty sure there is more.
I also have a great collection of Corrado Parducci stuff, his "Job Book" written by him, copies of hundreds of photographs of his works in the plaster stage in his studio, a copy of his scrap book and more. I once had a project going to try and identify 75 sculptors in a photograph that was published in LIFE Magazine in 1949, located several of the artists still alive and corresponded with many children and grandchildren. Unfortunately much of that was lost in one of several dramatic computer and other failures in my life, but much remains. Then there is what I call the "my father (or grandfather) was a famous sculptor and..." syndrome. Through that I've collected a great CD filled with Rene Paul Chambellan's scrap books, as well as letter, papers, photographs and all sorts of that sort of things from a variety of other folks.
I always share. Well, almost always. So, I'd like to set up, on wikipedia, a Charpchives article or perhaps, a subpage of my user page or something, where these things could be referenced to and anyone who wanted to check up on something could contact me there.
Or is this all just some mutation of perversion of original research? Or even hubris? The thing about this material is that little of it in mine, although some of that does appear too. this is not my blog. Or should I just put it all on my blog and forget using it on wikipedia?
I am, on occasion, an ignore all rules editor. This letter is what proves he had the job. This and another later one. I am figuring if I set up a subpage and post the letter there, that that might work. Make the primary source a secondary one through wikipedia. other wise I'll just use it as the reference but it will not be available for inspection. Carptrash ( talk) 15:23, 1 February 2012 (UTC)

My apologies. I didn't realize there were separate sections for characters who appear only in the comic book **or** only in the show.

I don't know anything about this musical, or manga, but I see that a lot of content, as well as talk page info, was dropped in the merge a couple of years ago and thought, since you had contributed to it, that I would let you know in case you wanted to resurrect the article. If it was not a useful article and should be left as just a mention in the Bleach (manga) article, that's fine too. All the best! -- Ssilvers ( talk) 15:01, 20 October 2011 (UTC)

The article Satar Jabar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other

When on the continent, I did visit Lisbon, Nazaré, Coimbra and Porto, but I likely could not contribute to specific images. Sorry. Ruben JC (Zeorymer) ( talk) 08:59, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

William 22:22, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Qianzhijunexamples.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude ( talk) 05:35, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article La Fiesta has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

I saw that you started an article about the Atlanta Technology Center. Good job! I have a nitpick, though - it's never "Georgia Tech University" it's either the Georgia Institute of Technology or simply "Georgia Tech". Disavian ( talk) 04:06, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:TAMmercosurLogo.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.
