Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Hi, I'm looking for articles to feature on the main page in the DYK section during Black History Month. Are you planning to nominate this, or would you like me to? Also, would you be able to write a stub article (one paragraph minimum) on the League of Allied Arts so we can link it in the Johnson article? Thanks, Yoninah ( talk) 11:58, 14 February 2019 (UTC)

“Among their patrons in our country were Henry Ward Beecher, Doctors Cuyler and Talmage, John Wanamaker, Wendell Phillips, William Lloyd Garrison, and Philips Brooks….and they were invited to the White House to sing for President Grant. In England their triumphs were repeated on a larger scale….an immediate result of this concert was an invitation from the Duke and Duchess of Argyll to sing at Argyll Lodge where, to their great surprise and pleasure, they learned that Queen Victoria would be present.” in Mary E. Nalle, "The Preservation of the American Negro Folk Song” Social Service Review (August 1916): 13. Online at Google Books.
“Writing on behalf of the Fisk Jubilee Singers, Mark Twain took his task ‘cheerfully.’ ‘I would walk seven miles to hear them sing again,’ he declared in an 1873 letter…” in Gabriel Mllner, “The Tenor of Belonging: The Fisk Jubilee Singers and the Popular Culture of Postbellum Citizenship” ‘’Journal of the Gilded Age and Progressiv e Era’’ 15(4)(2016): 399.

(Please excuse this post if it is a duplicate!)
I see you've finished another A-Z run - wonderful! And although I've been tracking your new articles and adding redirects and surname page entries, I hadn't noticed the A-Z sequence until Xenia and Yvette appeared yesterday - how's that for unobservant? I waited till Zona before congratulating you!
I see that you list "other names" in the infobox - please consider making redirects from those names too, and from other versions: every now and then they match an existing redlink, sometimes in the Women in Red lists of redlinks.
I'm not sure how useful surname pages are, but as they exist we ought to add women to them. Particularly for writers, academics, etc there's a chance that someone may find a mention of "Bloggs's work" and want to track down the "Bloggs". Unlike some other editors I don't bother adding new articles to birth date, death date, and given name pages - except for a few really unusual given names like Philadelphia and Xenia - as I can't imagine many readers searching that way. There are categories for birth and death years anyway. We all have our different ideas as to what is and isn't worth doing.
Congratulations again on producing so many good well-sourced articles, with the added quirk of A-Z sequencing. Pam D 23:52, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

The file File:FrancesWoodworthWright1967.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
a free image has become available for this subject's article, so we don't need this image anymore.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}

files for discussion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

The best are probably https://www.loc.gov/resource/hec.02822/ and https://www.loc.gov/resource/hec.36784/ and I'm pretty sure we could crop something out of one or both that'd look a bit better than the current lead image. Thanks for uploading File:GertrudeSumnerEly1967.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. -- B-bot ( talk) 17:30, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi Penny
I have noticed that you have tagged several articles for the contest, but not assessed them. Which seems a shame. Is there a reason for this? If not, would you like them to be tagged? I would be happy to do this, or to give you pointers so that you could do it yourself. Or you could tell me to mind my own business - whatever. Cheers.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}

files for discussion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

The fact was ... that Elizabeth L. Gardner served as a WASP during World War II and was the subject of an iconic photo (pictured)? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, Elizabeth L. Gardner), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

I found some good group photos that include her. Would you like to have a look? The best are probably https://www.loc.gov/resource/hec.02822/ and https://www.loc.gov/resource/hec.36784/ and I'm pretty sure we could crop something out of one or both that'd look a bit better than the current lead image. Hi. I see you added some information to the article for Frank Cellier (actor), but you did not cite your sources. I have removed the information for now. Please re-add it if/when you can cite WP:RSs. See WP:V for more information. Thanks! -- Ssilvers ( talk) 14:37, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

Cheers.
