Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:BayOcean (yacht).jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Thanks for uploading File:Northwestern departing Willamette 1939.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. The article Neah Bay Dock Company has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Willamette Falls Locks, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Corps of Engineers ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi Mtsmallwood, I came across Shady Side (steamboat), which you started in 2009, while fixing orphaned pages and had a lot of fun expanding it. If you're still writing articles on topics like this and would welcome some help, I have access to the New York Times archives and to Newspapers.com. I'd be happy to help find sources. You're very welcome to leave me a message whenever. › Mortee talk 00:52, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
The article Wilhelm Krüger has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
It appears that this is a fake article, because that person never existed : he was confused with Friedrich-Wilhelm Krüger at the time of his creation. It has just been deleted from French Wikipedia where it had been copied from English Wikipedia. Please see that discussion page : [1]. Best regards. Gkml
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

Hi! Thanks for your comments on Portus B. Weare. Given the hard use she got, I could imagine her earning the nickname, "weary". I'd love to have that in the article if you have a source. As to why it is in draft mode, I am pretty new to Wikipedia and am aware that there is much I don't understand about formatting, adding categories, etc. I have leaned on the AfC process to have a set of experienced eyes look over what I've done. While I am quite confident regarding the content, I am less so about all the formatting issues in Wikipedia. Would you have some other advice for me on this? I'd love to be better at this. Thanks! I know it's been a long time, but at Colman Dock you gave a reference {{Harvnb|Thomas Street History Services|2006|p=19}} but there doesn't seem ever to have been a corresponding template for the work referenced. I'm trying to find the source for that 1908 date for the extension and tower, because File:Pacific Squadron and Japanese ships entering Seattle harbor, 1909 (CURTIS 1246).jpeg (note date in title) seems to show that extension still in progress. - Jmabel | Talk 06:57, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

US Banknote Contest | ||
---|---|---|
November-December 2019 | ||
There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here |

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. On 7 November 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Dispatch (sternwheeler), which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Dispatch sternwheeler carried as many as 400 passengers over two hours downriver from Coquille to Bandon, Oregon, to attend baseball games there? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Dispatch (sternwheeler). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Otter in shipyard.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
It appears that this is a fake article, because that person never existed : he was confused with Friedrich-Wilhelm Krüger at the time of his creation.
An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect LIberty (sternwheeler). Since you had some involvement with the LIberty (sternwheeler) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you wish to do so. UnitedStatesian ( talk) 15:06, 21 February 2019 (UTC)
US Banknote Contest | ||
---|---|---|
November-December 2019 | ||

Thanks for uploading File:Guemes Island ferry Almar.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. -- B-bot ( talk) 17:42, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Union Steamship Company of British Columbia, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Cheakamus and Lady Evelyn ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot ( talk) 13:02, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

I'd like to transfer File:King and Winge shipyard circa 1915.jpg to Commons, but it looks like the copyright situation might not pass scrutiny there. You uploaded it, so I'm turning to you. Could you possibly rework this using the {{ Information}} template, and (most important) could you be clear just who claims to still have a copyright on this but be releasing it under {{ cc-0}}? - Jmabel | Talk 01:48, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Category:The Holocaust in Rhodes indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read!
