I'm a birder and naturalist and have spent quite a few seasons on boats in Southeast Alaska showing clients the area. I have relied on Wikipedia to teach me about the things I'm curious about, and when I find an area that is underdeveloped or completely absent, I'd like to contribute. I find that having to explain something makes you learn it yourself, so I'm still learning from Wikipedia whether I'm reading or writing it.
