@Success think: The update so far looks pretty good to me. I did see one little thing though all the references are before the period instead of after, but that is just me being picky. Also in the section Ancestry and Transport instead of just copying and pasting from the dictionary of national biography try paraphrasing it and summarizing it just to make sure that there are no copyvios. Regarding placement of the references: before the period is the way I think I was thought to do it lough these many years ago, but I could be mistaken. Anyway, as you imply, it's a minor point and I think I'll leave them as is.

Regarding the copywrite issue: all indications are that the text copied is out of copywrite, and probably never was covered by copywrite. Assuming it was or is, the quotation (to my knowledge and belief) is properly cited and quoted, and is well within the bounds of Fair use as described by Wikipedia in that it's a minor quotation for non-profit purposes having no effect on the value of the work from which it is quoted (except as might be as a result of (implied) criticism, which is allowed). Another factor is that the quotation has been more-or-less used without being properly cited or quoted for years on the existing Wikipedia page (unless the note at the very bottom of the page concerning attribution can be thought adequate). Added to this is the probability as implied in the reference to Burgess in my edit that the information in the existing Wikipedia page is incorrect. Plus the fact that this information from Wikipedia has been widely used by those with any interest in Willett. Seems to me that it's appropriate to quote the entire, probably incorrect, passage while making the probably correct information easily available to anyone interested, and let the reader decide what's most believable (if they can). Hopefully that's what the new edition does. Please let me know your thoughts about this.

In the Casa Manana article, the portion related to the union conflict was removed by a person claiming to be “Elaine Davidson.” Elaine is in the union that Casa Manana is fighting! So she would not have removed the article. Someone (unknown) made an account using her name. Do you have the email information on people who make accounts? I just wanted to point out that when you are merging two sections together in places like the teahouse (like you did in this diff), make sure you're putting your move notice above the message you moved, not below. When you put it below, the reply tool gets confused on what is or isn't a message, and what to respond to. Also make sure that when you're doing this, you're indenting the same amount as well. On a more jovial note, as someone who suffers from acromegaly(gigantism) I'm somewhat obsessed with the science of height, i note you say in your UP that you are 5'11" (180cm) i believe in no time you'd hit 6'0" and join the so called "6 feet gang" whatever that means. jeez boys are so conscious about how tall they are. I'm 6'6" and believe me it is no fun, especially when you are a "woman" (You literally cant be/or identify as agender in Nigeria) the only "good side" to this condition, is that it makes dunking a lot easier, asides that its no fun, now I am messed up because I quit Basketball last year after an injury that almost left me paralyzed. I don’t know why us boys care about being tall lol, I guess we think that makes us cooler, but it doesn’t really. My dad is 6'7" so I will probably grow more, but I agree that height can make basketball a lot easier, especially dunking (which I am super close to doing on a 10ft. goal). That’s very true and I can relate, I can’t count how many times I’ve slammed my head on random objects or when trying to undress, severely injure my hand when I stretch them (vertically) due to the proximity between the ceiling fan and my long arms. I probably deserved the knee injury, my doctors had told me severally to quit playing Basketball due to the fact my bones are very fragile, I didn’t listen because Basketball, Writing short stories, editing Wikipedia and my day job was literally all I had. I played in the male squad so what happened exactly was that day I was showing off by performing vanity stunts like “kissing the rim” "leaping and using my head to hit a 10'4” goal height, repeatedly" a blatant showoff I learnt from watching Guy Dupuy from Dunkademics (only a couple of us could do this ) This was just sheer unnecessary vanity display to show not only could I dunk easily but I was tall enough to leap and use my head to hit a 10'4 rim, "do a reverse dunk", a "hide and seek" and all this time completely forgetting that this condition was both a blessing and a curse and that my bones were very fragile due to my condition and previous knee injuries, what led to my knee rupturing was when the goal height was adjusted to 12'4" meaning i had to leap 5'8” inches In order hit the rim with my head. I did successfully (even) jump higher than the rim, but upon landing I completely injured myself, the pain was so much I thought probably I might never walk again but oh well I’m fine now. Oh one more thing you can check your peak or potential height by adding your dad's height and your mum's height by using this height calculator it serves as a guide so you’d know what your potential height is and if you aren’t getting there yet you might want to do heavy cardio, the yoga cobra pose (in order to aid your spine in stretching) (this isn’t backed by science though), add more protein to your diet, drink lots of milk, sleep latest by 7pm, vertical growth occurs when you are sleeping, and you need lots of sleep and all the aforementioned to reach true potential height, a lot of theories exist about a specific age when one can’t grow taller anymore, Some say (18) others say (25) at this point their growth plates have supposedly closed and cannot grow anymore but I’ve seen a 29 year old move from 5'9 to 6'4” in one year, this was a major cause for concern as people feared he shared the same fate with me, apparently he was okay but was just a very late bloomer, Thank me later when you hit 6'0” 😊. • Sad indeed but It was the best thing to do & yes, You are apt, you do not want to grow so tall that agility Becomes a problem, in my opinion 5'9” to 6'9” is the optimal height for a potential good Basketball player, examples are King James(6'8”) Chris Paul(6'0”) KD(6'9”) Stephen Curry (6'3”) MJ(6'6”) [but if you have seen him up-close, In my opinion he is probably (6'4”)], The list is unending but yes anything taller than 6'9” might not be a good fit due to lack of agility. The tallest player in the world is the Nigerian Basketballer named Abiodun Adegoke standing at 7'9” alongside Sunmingming (7'9”) Tacko fall (7'7”) but if you watch them play you can tell that they are a tad bit stiff and their agility isn't too good. Its very rarely that I look up to people Infact I don’t think I’ve ever looked up to anybody but for the first time in a long while, i had a chance to see the 7’9” Nigerian Basketballer, he stood 1 feet and 3 inches taller than me. Hello. As you're currently listed as a host at the Teahouse, I wanted to make sure you're aware of the imminent rollout of new Growth Team Features which every new account will be getting by default. Each users will soon see a new 'Homepage' tab next to their User page. It contains two main elements which might impact on your involvement - and you'd be welcome to get involved and help out directly with one of them.

Currently, this feature is given to 2% of new users, but it's set to increase to around 10% in the very near future.

Great. Don't rush into it if you're not sure as I gather it's not so easy to reassign people to a new mentor if one pulls out. But it's effectively like being available to quickly answer people's first few queries at the Teahouse, though on a 1-to-1 basis.

If you've got the Homepage module enabled, do you not see a 'Your mentor' box at all? Yours is a quite new account, so you might be amongst the high percentage of new users who did get the homepage activated (25%), but didn't get assigned into the mentorship allocation so as not to overburden this new set of 'mentors' (2% of that 25% of new accounts got one assigned).

The ones from Twitter I think are fine because triplikid’s tweets are confirmations and answers to speculation and rumors people had, as he had first hand knowledge working at the studio. Hello @ Virtual319:, Unfortunately I must say it is very highly suggested that you do not make an article about your own company as that would be considered a conflict of interest (COI). COI editing can often stray the article from having a neutral point of view and can sometimes be written like an advertisement ( WP:PROMO). I highly suggest you follow the instructions at WP:COIEDIT. If you do decide to write the article, even though it is highly suggested that you dont as it could get you blocked if you do not follow the intruction of WP:COIEDIT correctly, then I would suggest reading your first article. To be able to write an article about a company you must ensure it passes the notability guideline at WP:COMPANY first, and if it does make sure that the information you put on an article is backed with independent (non-primary), reliable sources. Sure while most WiFi networks are usually faster than cellular data, you are only connected to the internet within the 150 feet range most routers usually have. While cellular data usually isn't as fast as most routers, you are connected to the internet as long as you have a good signal, and most places have a decent signal overall. @ Saveli Balujev: Welcome to Wikipedia, the reason you cannot edit it is because the page is protected letting only people that have autoconfirmed rights (aka editors that have been on Wikipedia for 3 days with at least ten edits) edit the article. The reason it might be protected is because that page might get vandalized a lot. However, you can still make an edit request on the article's talk page. I suggest that you follow the instructions at WP:ER in the sections Planning a request and Making requests. Make sure though when you make a request you back up your information with independent, reliable sources. I've noticed that when you're replying to people on talk pages or project pages such as the teahouse, you're often responding to the wrong message. It appears as though you're using the reply tool, so fixing this shouldn't be very difficult.

Next to all messages, you can see the [ reply ] button, which you press to reply to that message in specific. Based on how much you're indenting your messages (for example here), it seems like you're just hitting the reply button that is the furthest down. In the example I provided, if you were trying to reply to the IP's message, you should hit the reply message next to the IP's message, not the one next to blaze's message. In situations like this, editors might indent their response after yours because they're adding on to what you are saying. There are a lot of situations, though, where people have the same misunderstanding as you and will make the same mistake. If you think just reading about it sounds odd, just wait until you’ve seen actual the episodes. You can find them by going on Disney’s YouTube channel and by going from oldest to newest. It was the very first thing uploaded onto the account, which is strange considering how the property isn’t even from Disney, but rather, it’s a case of Disney licensing a non-Disney property and adapting it. It’ve known about the series for a little while now but it’s weird also finding out that Disney was also involved with the music. If I’m not mistaken, it may even well be Disney’s first animated web-series, although I’m pretty sure it was the first to have been based on a licensed property. @ Backtoback03: Technically the answer is no. It is highly considered that you do not write an article about someone you know or a company you work for as that would be a Conflict of interest (COI). Often times COI editing will stray the article from having a neutral point of view. That being said you can technically still make one, but he has to be notable. Meaning he has to have indpendent, reliable sources mentioning him. So for example The New York Times would be considered reliable, but not a random blog. Also you would have to write the article in a neutral point of view. I think that was a reasonable decline, for a few reasons. First, most of the references are interviews, or essentially so (full of quotes from Luc). Second, the references are mostly about Sucker, with Luc receiving generic coverage. Third, there is nothing about Mychonny specifically, all (per the previous point) as John Luc in his role in Sucker. I'm seeing here that you deny the existence of the article Kaique Alves, who is a swimmer with a medal in a Swimming World Championship. Obviously the swimmer's notoriety criterion is more than met with this, as he isn't a low-level athlete. The fact that it has many data sources is no demerit. There is a source from Globoesporte, which is the largest sports news site in Brazil, showing his bronze medal at the World Championship. I see no reason to deny the existence of the article. Soon this swimmer will get more medals in relevant competitions and the article will have to be redone unnecessarily. Hello there, there is no need to get angry, but I am not denying his existence. In order for an athlete to have an article, they must pass the notability guideline of an athlete, which he might. The article should have at minimum three independent, reliable sources covering him, but you will usually want more. Globoesports may or may not be a reliable, I have no clue since its in Portuguese. If its true that he is going to start winning a bunch of stuff, this may be a case of WP:TOOSOON. I'm sure once he wins more he will have more sources covering him. Compared to the version that I initially found (mainly written by User:20th c violin concerto) I added a photograph of Broekhuis performing with famous French singer Charles Trenet, I added some biographical information and the names of the institutes where his music is archived. I also added several sources, a.o. five newspaper articles and a ref to a Master's thesis at Utrecht University. Broekhuis teached, performed and wrote music (amusement & classical scores) in the UK, France, Switzerland and the US, and worked with Josephine Baker. The Dutch Wiki lemma and the German Wikipedia don't mention any other sources. What is the best way to take this up? I explored all sources I could find. That's not how a review process works, I think. I have written (journal) articles myself that have been reviewed, and I have been a peer reviewer myself. Normally one doesn't have to jump through unexpected new hoops. The last review of the draft was explicit: "This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified." I added nine (9) reliable sources, so I think the draft should be judged on the basis of that aspect. My first review of the draft was definitely wrong in that he is not notable. I did not look into great detail at the sources and I screwed up there. Some of the refs are definitely good, however things like Amazon, Diamondbook, and I don't know about the pdf files because it won't even let me open it. The parts where it sounds like an add is where its trying to promote him. For example in the lead it says He has led three Guinness World Records although there is no reliable source to prove that. Also, this section in the lead especially sounds like an add He runs a YouTube Channel in his own name, Dr Ujjwal Patni. The channel regularly publishes videos on Business, Digital Currencies, Parenting and Life Lessons. The reason I submitted the draft article is because Jamie McLeod-Skinner defeated an incumbent US House Representative, Kurt Schrader, in the primary, and I would think that WP:GNG would arrive as a result of unseating a House Representative in a primary. The reason you listed for declining the draft submission for 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship doesn't make any sense. Not only does it include the same type of references as all of the other individual championship entries for each year, they are literally the only primary sources that exist excluding the record book which was updated just the past week AND pulls it's info from the Golfstat pages that were linked since they are the **official location where scores are posted for NCAA golf events. I'm not sure what else I or anyone can possibly do to "better" source this article other than making an arbitrary link to the NCAA record book (which I would be happy to do).

Just because another page has something doesn't mean it is okay. Primary sources do not show that the subject is notable, but reliable, independent of the subject sources such as The New York Times do. So am I to understand that your hangup with the article isn't revolving around the validity of the sources but rather the "notability" of the national championship entry? If so, I'm even more confused seeing as there is a main article for the national championship itself as well as independent articles for each year of that championship from 1939-2019 (80 independent articles coving 80 years). I understand you are likely not familiar with this topic or even possibly with United States Collegiate sports, but this being the National Championship with clearly established "notability" should easily qualify my submission of the most recent playing of that championship event. Just dropping you a quick note about this article you declined at AfC yesterday: in general, most reviewers will accept species articles with at least one valid scientific citation, because the nature of the scientific process means that they're practically guaranteed to have a couple more good academic sources. (See WP:NSPECIES). This isn't a rebuke or anything, your decline was perfectly reasonable by GNG and the version of the article I accepted was significantly improved, but just wanted to let you know about the rule of thumb. Hello, I think there is a mistake and no one helps me, only declines the draft. So in hopes you will, I would like to know how and why my draft was declined when its about an Israeli journalist who published a book. Also, this book received a grant from The Israel Film Fund nd a grant from Beit Lessin Theater and the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, the book also is adapted into a screenplay adapted for the stage. He might not be known worldwide but he is sure not someone who doesnt deserve a wiki page. As you can see I placed many sources who shows his articels and sources on him. Could you please help? Hi, Kaleeb. Unfortunately, the FLC really didn't have enough reviews to say that there was a consensus to promote the list. The fact that it had a source review is great, but there was only one supporter and we normally would expect to see at least three before considering promotion. The list had been at FLC since February. It seemed that reviewing activity had halted, and we can't keep lists at FLC indefinitely. The FLC was at the stage where reaching a consensus in the near-future was unlikely, so I decided to close it. I hope you continue to pursue FL status for the list, though. Cheers. The third round of the 2022 WikiCup has now come to an end. Each of the sixteen contestants who made it into the fourth round had at least 180 points, which is a lower figure than last year when 294 points were needed to progress to round 4. Our top scorers in round 3 were:
