On 24 March 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Lucia Votano, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Lucia Votano (pictured) was the first woman to be appointed director of the Gran Sasso National Laboratory, the largest underground research center in the world? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Lucia Votano. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page ( here's how, Lucia Votano), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Adrian Mihai Ionescu, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Romanian and Swiss. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Can you stop renewing Maelstrom2's vandalism on the pages? South American swimming records exist and have been documented for 100 years in the world press, swimming confederations, etc. Very old users here, specialized in swimming, like Montell74 and Kante4, never tried to remove these records from here because it's not to be removed, they exist. If FINA does not describe this record separately, it is not our problem, we do not have an employment relationship with FINA to do what they want. Our relationship here is with the existence of sources, and South American swimming records are widely documented. All the swimmers he removed SA from the pages, there is a source in their articles confirming the existence of SA, so the vandalism belongs to Maelstrom2. You have sent me a notification. I am responding. The information regarding Gavin Koppel is inaccurate and the sources cited do not contain concurrent information as to what's written on the wikipedia page for Gavin Koppel. Hi @ Broc! I need some help, I recently re-wrote the Article Free City Of Mainz, but before I add it in, I need your help to make sure it's right,
Here's the text so far:
The Free City Mainz, was a city-state that existed from 13 BC to 1803 in the early
Middle Ages, played a crucial role in the
Christianization of the German and Slavic communities during the Middle Ages.
The first archbishop of Mainz, Boniface, was assassinated in 754 while attempting to convert the Frisians to Christianity, and his remains are interred in Fulda.
Mainz became a regular archbishopric in 781, when Pope Adrian I granted Boniface's successor, Lullus, the pallium. Harald Klak, king of Jutland, and his followers were baptized at Mainz in 826, in the abbey of St. Alban's. Rabanus Maurus, a scholar and writer, and Willigis, who initiated the construction of the current building of the Mainz Cathedral and established the monastery of St. Stephan, were among the early archbishops of Mainz. From Willigis until the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire in 1806, the Archbishops of Mainz served as the archchancellors of the Empire and were the most important of the seven Electors of the Holy Roman Emperor. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Mainz is the only diocese in the world with an episcopal see known as a Holy See, in addition to Rome. The Archbishops of Mainz were traditionally primas germaniae. In 1244, Archbishop Siegfried III granted Mainz a city charter, giving citizens the right to establish and elect a city council.
In 1461, a conflict erupted between two archbishops: Diether von Isenburg, who had been elected Archbishop by the cathedral chapter and was backed by the citizens, and Adolf II von Nassau, who had been named archbishop of Mainz by the pope.
If you could help me link it and improve it I would really appreciate it,
Cheers and let me know if it's right, Arotparaarms ( talk) 12:55, 21 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi Broc. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers

the permissions page in case your user right is time-limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as
patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the
New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at
New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the
deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the
new page reviewer talk page or ask via the
NPP Discord. In addition, please remember:
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. If you can read any languages other than English, please add yourself to the list of new page reviewers with language proficiencies. — Ingenuity ( talk • contribs) 14:39, 28 February 2024 (UTC)

Hello Broc, A user deleted a significant amount of information on the page. You added it back, and he subsequently removed the information, again. It appears that the user deleted both unsourced and well-sourced information in the edits. I am going to work on building the article with sourced information; and, hopefully, the user will not delete my information. Also, given the fact that very little remains in the article and that the remaining information is mostly referenced, it appears that the templates at the head of the article are no longer applicable. Could an Admin delete those, since the page is essentially back to a fresh start? Doc54625 ( talk) 02:16, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
Hello Broc,
Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.
Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.
Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.
It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!
2023 Awards

WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.
Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.
Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.

At least look it up!as you say, is something you should do to corroborate your statements. I am not an expert of the subject unfortunately, so I can't help you there. If you need some directions on how to write on Wikipedia, or how to cite sources, please feel free to ask! Broc ( talk) 14:57, 8 February 2024 (UTC)

I've left a link for the source of Emil Pagliarulo's death https://www.vazzafunerals.com/memorials/emil-pagliarulo/4213569/
Was there anything wrong with it? P.S. Rest in peace, my friend Emil Pagliarulo.

You have sent me a notification. I am responding. The information regarding Gavin Koppel is inaccurate and the sources cited do not contain concurrent information as to what's written on the wikipedia page for Gavin Koppel. There is nothing in regards to an arbitration ruling anywhere online. The assertion that Kilmore filed a restraining order because of the lawsuit in 2004 is unfounded and not listed in any of the cited articles. 24.205.63.99 ( talk) 01:26, 15 February 2024 (UTC)

But can you recheck please because the article surely have every Rs required including independent sources, or if there is any different reason for the rejection please express. Hello Broc, I'm reaching out about an article that you accepted yesterday, Ettrick and Northern, which I find to be problematic. I was curious why you accepted this article in its current state? In my opinion it should have been rejected with an expectation that it would be expanded and have additional references added. Hey man im josh ( talk) 15:18, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
On 27 February 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Wakan, Oman, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the mild climate in the remote mountain village of Wakan in Oman allows the growth of fruits such as pomegranates in an otherwise hot and dry country? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Wakan, Oman. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page ( here's how, Wakan, Oman), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hi Broc. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group. Please check back at
the permissions page in case your user right is time-limited or probationary.

The Schweitzer Institute is obviously a genuine organisation (unless the organisations which are referenced are making it up!), and as an international think-tank which is linked to several universities, it clearly merits a Wikipedia page.

This award is given in recognition to Broc for collecting more than 200 points during the WikiProject Unreferenced articles's FEB24 backlog drive. Hi @ Broc, I hope you are doing fine. I am here from the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikipedia/Assessment where I made an assessment request on 2 January 2024. I received remarks from you on 26 January 2024 regarding improving certain terms on the article Emblem of Andhra Pradesh, which I completed on 6 March 2024. I tagged you there, but I think it went unnoticed. Can you please look into it? Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience. 456legend talk 04:39, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
2023 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!

Hi Broc, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.
This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:
You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. Remember to take your time to patrol each page, including checking for copyright violations using Earwig's copyright violation detector, and evaluating sources (both in the article, and if needed, via a search engine) for compliance with the general notability guideline. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! — Ingenuity ( talk • contribs) 18:00, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
Hi Broc, I moved the page on Jaybird Cave you draftified for non-notability back to mainspace. I added a few references, but I believe that even without the additional refs it met the bare minimum for WP:NGEO for named natural features (e.g., it's a named location that has information beyond just statistics). Still a stub, but I plan on expanding it again in the future. Thanks! nf utvol ( talk) 14:36, 8 April 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed your edit to Talk:Horace G. Benson, where you rated it a start class. What makes it worthy of start class? I rated it a stub because it's less than 250 prose. Is this a use of the Croughton-London rule? Roasted ( talk) 20:10, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
