Hi @ ZLEA:
I am interested in learning your work about commemorative coins. I have two questions for you:
1. How do you determine 1954 vs 1980 to be the split point of "Early" and "Modern". I ask this because I think it's interesting and important, but I like to learn your thinking process. What I would guess is the dissolution of Brettonwood System happens in the 70s marks the different meaning of US dollars (anchored to the metal gold) before and after(not anchored to the metal gold)~. Is that the main reason?
2. Why there is a gap between 1954 and 1980?
Thank you! Xinbenlv ( talk) 23:34, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
FYI, I just created a series of stubs for various commemorative dollars. I realize the stubs are bare, but all the red links in the navboxes were bugging me so I got the ball rolling on some new articles. Hello, ZLEA. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, " sandbox/United Airlines Flight 1175".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia
mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
, {{db-draft}}

code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. N4izL3etsP44k ( talk) 18:32, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

I suggest renaming the 2000 dollar coin mule error article to 2000 Sacagawea dollar – Washington quarter dollar mule (similar to the name used in this source). I find the current title confusing, as it appears to describe a coin with a denomination of 2000 dollars. — BarrelProof ( talk) 19:46, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
I saw that you did not like my change of Template:Coinage (United States) to describe the newer quarters series as different obverse designs of Washington quarters (although that is how they are described in that article). But would you mind if I changed the date range of Washington quarters from "1932–1998" to "1932–present"? The article about them says that the current quarters are Washington quarters, which matches the common sense of anyone who looks at them. — BarrelProof ( talk) 23:04, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

On 14 August 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Continental Currency dollar coin, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Continental Currency dollar coin ( obverse pictured), the first pattern coin of the United States, was designed by Benjamin Franklin? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Continental Currency dollar coin. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, Continental Currency dollar coin), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Thank you for your informative new article on the United States Mint Set. I wonder if the article should actually be titled "United States Uncirculated Coin Set" because that seems to be the most commonly used name in recent years, though I am not an expert in this matter.

Hi ZLEA, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! — MusikAnimal talk 00:46, 18 June 2019 (UTC)

Bowers' big book on commemoratives contains the number of assay coins, you'll recall we discussed this. See here for the online version although it is so broken up it is difficult to use. If you need to borrow a citation for this, check the sources in Oregon Trail Memorial half dollar.-- Wehwalt ( talk) 20:46, 3 July 2019 (UTC)

Did you know?
Welcome back to the Editing newsletter.
Since the last newsletter, the team has released two new features for the mobile visual editor and has started developing three more. All of this work is part of the team's goal to make editing on mobile web simpler.
Before talking about the team's recent releases, we have a question for you:
Are you willing to try a new way to add and change links?
If you are interested, we would value your input! You can try this new link tool in the mobile visual editor on a separate wiki.
Follow these instructions and share your experience:
The mobile visual editor is a simpler editing tool, for smartphones and tablets using the mobile site. The Editing team has recently launched two new features to improve the mobile visual editor:
Section editing and the new loading overlay are now available to everyone using the mobile visual editor.
This is a list of our most active projects. Watch these pages to learn about project updates and to share your input on new designs, prototypes and research findings.
The VisualEditor on mobile is a good place to learn more about the projects we are working on. The team wants to talk with you about anything related to editing. If you have something to say or ask, please leave a message at Talk:VisualEditor on mobile.

Since the introduction of temporary user rights, it is becoming more usual to accord the New Page Reviewer right on a probationary period of 3 to 6 months in the first instance. This avoids rights removal for inactivity at a later stage and enables a review of their work before according the right on a permanent basis.

Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Thanks for creating United States Mint Set.
User:Doomsdayer520 while reviewing this page as a part of our page curation process had the following comments:
Thank you for your informative new article on the United States Mint Set. I wonder if the article should actually be titled "United States Uncirculated Coin Set" because that seems to be the most commonly used name in recent years, though I am not an expert in this matter.
To reply, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Doomsdayer520}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~

Hi ZLEA. You left a message on an anonymous page about USS Nimitz UFO incident. I'm a longtime user who was editing anonymously, and I did in fact explain my edit in the talk page, but Rob110178 (sigmabot III) reverted both the edit and the explanation. I've repeated both as myself. DJ Clayworth ( talk) 14:36, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
In the month of September, Wikiproject Military history is running a project-wide edit-a-thon, Backlog Banzai. There are heaps of different areas you can work on, for which you claim points, and at the end of the month all sorts of whiz-bang awards will be handed out. Every player wins a prize! There is even a bit of friendly competition built in for those that like that sort of thing. Sign up now at Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/September 2019 Backlog Banzai to take part. Could you purpose for the creation of an infobox for historical currencies to the WikiProject Numismatics? It already exists on many other Wikipedia's and it would allow for more parameters to be created for obsolete currencies which the current currency infobox doesn't provide for. -- Donald Trung ( talk) 08:33, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
Nominations for the upcoming project coordinator election are now open. A team of up to ten coordinators will be elected for the next year. The project coordinators are the designated points of contact for issues concerning the project, and are responsible for maintaining our internal structure and processes. They do not, however, have any authority over article content or editor conduct, or any other special powers. More information on being a coordinator is available here. If you are interested in running, please sign up here by 23:59 UTC on 14 September! Voting doesn't commence until 15 September. If you have any questions, you can contact any member of the coord team. Cheers, Peacemaker67 ( click to talk to me) 02:39, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
