The sources you removed from Bosnian War with this edit may be unreliable in your eyes but by wikipedia standards they are very reliable sources and should not be removed. The issue of balance is very important and I agree that the article is not currently well balanced but please balance it with well sourced contributions. The whole Al-Quaeda thing is interesting but it is a very "academic" debate held long after the events. It may be much more useful to highlight the role of islamist fighters and state the ties with the present day Al-Quaeda rather than to try to show that Al-Quaeda is specifically involved. This is very much a post 9/11 view re-evaluating events. On the other hand I agree there was stuff about the JNA specifically related to war crimes that did not have good sources and you were right to highlight this. However, there are sufficient sources to show their involvement in the war and so this should remain. Polargeo ( talk) 09:31, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Hi there and welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you will enjoy your time here. I would like to explain further my revert: First in lede we enter only info that has been substantially expanded in the body of the article. Second, other languages are important if there are relevant primary sources in those languages: because as far as secondary sources are related, every one may have an interest in Skanderbeg: a book on him may exist in Iceland, that's not a reason to enter the name in Islandic language. Please feel free to bring primary Serbian sources, i.e. from 16th to 18th century and we may update the article. The name is in Albanian and Latin for now, because those are the primary sources we have. Thanks again! -- Sulmues ( talk) 15:47, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

I would like to thank you for your edits in the League of Lezhe. I understand your concerns and believe me, I hope the article was better referenced. In general those concerns come when the article has a B status. Since much of the writings in wikipedia preceding 2007 is original research or copypasting/translating from high school books, it is difficult to discern the good apples from the bad ones. Once that an article has a B status, then it's ready for a GA application (we have only 10K GA articles out of 3.4M - 1/34). It's at that point that I would have the concerns that you have. For now, all we have to do, is to increase the referencing, otherwise, changes that we make, will never be long lived to help promote an article to higher statuses, where it reaches higher levels of protection. -- Sulmues ( talk) 15:02, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Bernd Fischer (mathematician), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Bernd Fischer. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot ( talk) 16:30, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi, and thank you for
your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give
Bernd Fischer a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "
cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the
page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. The article Zehra Deović has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{ prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. I added the word "super" because that is what the Albanian Vilayet was: an exceptional vilayet composed of four other vilayets. Cf. the Greek super-prefectures. If you think that it is somehow confusing, do remove it, but IMO its meaning (in an administrative context) is pretty clear to English-speakers. Constantine ✍ 13:33, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

While I do not edit in the area covered by the above board, I am aware that there has been at times controversy in articles that are, and they they have been bogged down by outside issues. The initiative to create a forum to sort through those issues which have an affect on those articles seems like a good idea, so that they can be expanded and improved. Having read the mission statement and suggested guidelines I find that the main objective is diluted in the text : to create a nuetral and unbiased articles that are divorced from a particular POV that offer a fair representation of the various interpretations of the facts. While there are more postive aspects of Albanian-Serbian relations, I'm not sure that promotion of those aspects should be a goal, but certainly should be included to give a broader understanding of those relations. To that end I would have project page state its goals more clearly within the context of encyclopedia building which would be improved by better diplomatic relations between those editors working in the area. I would suggest that making the mission statement of the board clearer Djflem ( talk) 10:01, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Hey Anti. I have done a copyedit on your article in preparation for reviewing it for DYK. There were some sentences I reworked that you should look over to make sure I haven't changed the meaning. Also, the last sentence in the First Balkan War is confusing: "Ismail Qemali realized that the fate of Albania will be decided in Vienna." Mr. Qemali has not been mentioned in the article, and readers probably won't know who he is (sorry if he's well-known in the Balkans, but his name is not familiar to me). That sentence should be expanded to explain who he is. Otherwise, good improvement in your writing, though still some grammar issues to improve on. So begins round two of the WikiCup! We now have eight pools, each with eight random contestants. This round will continue until the end of April, when the top two of each pool, as well as the next 16 highest scorers of those remaining, will make it to round three. Congratulations to
The Bushranger (
submissions) (first, with 487 points) and
Hurricanehink (
submissions) (second, with 459), who stormed the first round.
Casliber (
submissions) finished third with 223. Twelve others finished with over 100 points- well done to all of you! The final standings in round one can be seen
here. A mere 8 points were required to reach round two; competition will no doubt be much more fierce this round, so be ready for a challenge! A special thanks goes, again, to
Jarry1250 (
submissions) for dealing with all bot work. This year's bot, as well as running smoothly, is doing some very helpful things that last year's did not. Also, thanks to
Stone (
submissions) for some helpful behind-the-scenes updating and number crunching.
Some news for those who are interested- March will see a GAN backlog elimination drive, which you are still free to join. Organised by WikiProject Good articles, the drive aims to minimise the GAN backlog and offers prizes to those who help out. Of course, you may well be able to claim WikiCup points for the articles you review as part of the drive. Also ongoing is the Great Backlog Drive, looking to work on clearing all of the backlogs on Wikipedia; again, incentives are offered, and the spirit of friendly competition is alive, while helping the encyclopedia is the ultimate aim. Though unrelated to the WikiCup, these may well be of interest to some of you.
Just a reminder of the rules; if you have done significant work on content this year and it is promoted in this round, you may claim for it. Also, anything that was promoted after the end of round one but before the beginning of round two may be claimed for in round two. Details of the rules can be found on this page. For those interested in statistics, a running total of claims can be seen here, and a very interesting table of that information (along with the highest scorers in each category) can be seen here. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, or by email. Good luck! We are half way through round two of the WikiCup, which will end on 28 April. Of the 64 current contestants, 32 will make it through to the next round; the two highest in each pool, and the 16 next highest scorers. At the time of writing, our current overall leader is
Hurricanehink (
submissions) with 231 points, who leads Pool H.
Piotrus (
submissions) (Pool G) also has over 200 points, while 9 others (three of whom are in Pool D) have over 100 points. Remember that certain content (specifically, articles/portals included in at least 20 Wikipedias as of 31 December 2010 or articles which are considered "
vital") is worth double points if promoted to good or featured status, or if it appears on the main page in the Did You Know column. There were some articles last round which were eligible for double points, but which were not claimed for. For more details, see
Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring.
A running total of claims can be seen here. However, numerous competitors are yet to score at all- please remember to submit content soon after it is promoted, so that the judges are able to review entries. The number of points that will be needed to reach round three is not clear- everyone needs to get their entries in now to guarantee their places!

Thank you.

Hurricanehink (
submissions) (second, with 459), who stormed the first round.
Casliber (
submissions) finished third with 223. Twelve others finished with over 100 points- well done to all of you! The final standings in round one can be seen
here. A mere 8 points were required to reach round two; competition will no doubt be much more fierce this round, so be ready for a challenge! A special thanks goes, again, to

submissions) for dealing with all bot work.
Good luck! The bolded part and the section say that because his work has similarities with Barleti's biography, some scholars dispute its originality of authorship, because they view it as summary of Barleti's work. It is also says that because the author's name wasn't added in the first edition, some considered him(Frëngu) not to be the author.-- — ZjarriRrethues — talk 06:10, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

They are indeed eligible, and they are specifically mentioned in the DYK selection criteria (note criterion 2, point 2). If they appear on the main page, you may claim points for them as usual. J Milburn ( talk) 11:44, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
