Maloserdobinsky District ( Russian: Малосердо́бинский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [4] district ( raion), one of the twenty-seven in Penza Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,100 square kilometers (420 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Malaya Serdoba. [1] Population: 9,824 ( 2010 Census); [3] 11,412 ( 2002 Census); [6] 12,450 ( 1989 Soviet census). [7] The population of Malaya Serdoba accounts for 44.5% of the district's total population. [3]
