Yegorlyksky District ( Russian: Егорлы́кский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [5] district ( raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,460 square kilometers (560 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a stanitsa) of Yegorlykskaya. [1] Population: 35,733 ( 2010 Census); [3] 36,996 ( 2002 Census); [7] 33,378 ( 1989 Soviet census). [8] The population of Yegorlykskaya accounts for 49.4% of the district's total population. [3]
