Morozovsky District ( Russian: Моро́зовский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [5] district ( raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,550 square kilometers (980 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the town of Morozovsk. [1] Population: 42,404 ( 2010 Census); [3] 46,395 ( 2002 Census); [7] 43,574 ( 1989 Soviet census). [8] The population of Morozovsk accounts for 65.2% of the district's total population. [3]
