Hi, just a heads up. The use of |publisher=
for online news sources is controversial, the template guidance is unclear and ambiguous, and multiple attempts to clarify it have failed to reach consensus. In my strong opinion, which is shared by at least some other experienced editors, the parameter should be used for publishing companies only. You're probably aware that it makes a difference in the appearance of the citation.
Under these circumstances I feel it's very bad form to make widespread changes via script, but of course I can't stop you. I will however be removing most |publisher=

Hello GoingBatty.
I would like to inform you that a new version of WPCleaner is available replacing the old version (v1.43) dating back to almost a year. Unfortunately, going from version 1.43 to 2.0 automatically isn't possible and will require a new installation. It's necessary to install version 2.0 to take advantage of updates and bug fixes. Version 1.43 will have to be uninstalled manually, as there are no more updates for it.
The installation procedure is described at Wikipedia:WPCleaner/Installation.
Note: for usage in Bot mode, I strongly advise to check the modifications to be sure that the tasks run correctly

The article Carol Morgan has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

Hello, GoingBatty. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Hi GoingBatty
We're working to measure the value of Wikipedia in economic terms. We want to ask you some questions about how you value being able to edit Wikipedia.
Our survey should take about 10-15 minutes of your time. We hope that you will enjoy it and find the questions interesting. All answers will be kept strictly confidential and will be anonymized before the aggregate results are published. Regretfully, we can only accept responses from people who live in the US due to restrictions in our grant-based funding.
As a reward for your participation, we will randomly pick 1 out of every 5 participants and give them $25 worth of goods of their choice from the Wikipedia store (e.g. Wikipedia themed t-shirts). Note that we can only reward you if you are based in the US.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
| |
Hi GoingBatty, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas |
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. The otorhinolaryngology article had two issue templates. In this edit I removed one of them. And then a day later, your bot "Removed Template:Multiple issues and General fixes using AWB." The edit was fine, just the summary was a little wrong because it didn't remove that template. 208.95.51.38 ( talk) 12:45, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
In your 02:43, 6 April 2018 edits to the Robert Hunter article you changed the link from (Notable Performances / 1979) "August 9, Robert Hunter" to disambiguate to Robert Hunter (rapper). However, the rapper was 3 years old on that date. The (then 37 year old) lyricist was the performer on that date, as he was on the other 3 dates listed in the article. Any reason I shouldn't re-edit that link to point to the lyricist's article? DocRuby ( talk) 05:23, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi,I'm a south african and I was offended to discover that the government endorsed farm murders we are experienced is not only included in the "white genocide conspiracy" but also discredited. honestly, I do not understand why anyone would like to do something like that, but it's rather disgruntling. We are suffering down here and would appreciate it if you would please fix that article. Thank you very much. keep well and all the best. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 197.88.89.43 ( talk) 19:45, 19 August 2018 (UTC)

What's up G? Just FYI, looks like someone drafted up a couple of your requested changes to AWB here. So if the AWB devs commit the changes, the next version should fix it. Cheers! 2601:5CC:101:5DEB:DE2:7CE2:15BD:46B7 ( talk) 00:02, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

Just a quick thank you note for your contributions to the Kathy Ireland article: I've been restructuring, cleaning and updating the article myself for a while now (when I have the time), but, man, the fastidiously pedantic work you've done with the references three days ago in just two hours is absolutely fantastic! - Виктор Јованоски ( talk) 14:56, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, Sharon Dyall), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

| |
