How are you (apa kabar) Chaerani? And welcome to Wikipedia! Just to let you know, at the Indonesian WikiProject there are a group of editors collaborating to improve the articles related to Indonesia. We hope you can join us to make the project even better!

Hope you find these useful. If not you can improve them, it's Wikipedia!

Hey there, I just want to ask for your suggestion. As we all know, there are just few "good" Indonesian articles, which means lots of effort is needed to improve them. What do you reckon about this collaboration plan? Please put any suggestion and respond on the WikiProject's talk page. Cheers, take care -- Imo eng 11:57, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
The new collaboration page has been created. For now, it is a "collaboration of the week" with standard rules and stuff, which later we can decide for any changes. But now, lets start nominating articles (one article for each person!) and voting. Please take a look at the page. Cheers -- Imo eng 11:21, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi Chaerani - sorry, I don't know what it is; I just know the genus Toxicodendron well enough to know your plant is something different (e.g. all Toxicodendron have compound leaves divided into 3 or more leaflets, your plant has undivided leaves). Maaf, lambat balasanku...
Urbepedia looks good. I'm impressed to see your article on the KIP there (could that be adapted to here as well?)
my name is Meutia Chaerani from Singapore. I volunteered helped out in the Urbepedia at Urbepedia. It is a newly set up wiki focusing on Urban issues, and currently needing more contributors. I'd like to invite your participation in the wiki. Also need to brainstorm more on how the Urbepedia can be different yet complementing to information already existing in Wikipedia.
We have faced the same issue at Appropedia. I have argued that "encyclopedic" material should not be encouraged - the less overlap, the better.
At this stage, i'm thinking that Urbepedia would be more detailed and more technical, and also acts as repository of best urban practices from around the world, as well as repository of contact information of urban experts. Whereas wikipedia is aimed for a broader audience, the article should be easy to grasp to different kind of people, from kids to adults. In that sense, urbepedia is different from wikipedia, but of course, we can link both wikipedia and urbepedia together in the article page.
Sounds good. Urbepedia could also allow things like original research (e.g. theses), articles or essays with a certain POV (and flagged as such), and project writeups.
We hope that you'd be interested to get involved.
Not right now, I'm sorry - I keep getting involved in things and never get my work done - and if I keep doing this what will I eat? :) But I will keep watching, and will probably get involved at some point.
I also like helping to link relevant wikis together, and I have listed it at WikiIndex:Urbepedia. You may wish to upload the logo and link it there.

Hello there Chaerani. For the next two weeks we have chosen >>> Indonesian War of Independence<<< for the Indonesia Collab. Also, please vote for the next fortnight. Hi, nice to see that you are still active. :-) Yes, I found the article in a really bad condition, full of can't-say-the-word words, so I removed them. The article should explain about the Indonesian slang in linguistics and social perspective, not about listing that kind of words only. I guess wikitionary is the best place to put them. Hi, I removed your adding of the Indonesian name to some Disney Characters per WP:NOT since this is the English Wikipedia. Often those entries turn into lists and are almost always removed. Several reasons: 1. It's my understanding that blog postings alone do not meet WP verifiability standards. 2. the Indonesion article is not in English, so it is not helpful in verifying the details for English readers. 3. the English news article referenced does not contain the same details.
Someone else fixed the footnote problem, but if you are still curious you can see it in the history. I will leave it up to others to decide if the Lumbantoruan paragraph stays this time. Sfmammamia 03:36, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Hello everybody. I’ve updated the current Indonesia collaboration to > > > Central Java < < <
This article’s not in a very good condition but such a significant part of Indonesia, the cultural heart of the Javanese. Please contribute! Thanks to all those contributed to the previous collaboration Sidoarjo mud flow particularly Indon.
For the next collaboration in a fortnight, I’d like to try something different. Let’s chose a stub rather than an already well-developed article. Here is a list of Indonesian stubs to choose (there’s two pages). Please check the article's importance rating – let's chose an important and significant article that will appeal to a broad range of people. Please do not choose an obscure and/or esoteric topic that is not very important. Please place your nomination here.
Any questions, please let me know. Kind regards -- Merbabu 05:01, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
I have added a "{{

proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "
What Wikipedia is not" and

notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on
its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the
proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the

Hello, Oh, I had no idea! If he's notable in Indonesia that's fine with me and I'll remove the notability template. However, if this is the case, it seems that the article should note his popularity in India because his resume/accomplishments are mediocore at best for a U.S. jazz pianist and he certainly would not be considered notable by U.S. standards. Again, I'll remove the template (and thanks for letting me know), but if you get the chance and can add some information regarding his repute in Indonesia I think that'd improve the article vastly!

Hi Chaerani, thanks for the food pics on the Minang article, they look very tasty. However, in my opinion it is best not to have more than 1 food related picture on the article to give a balance to the various aspects of Minang culture. They are also flowing into the religion section, which is inappropriate. Lastly, I have a concern they are not the best possible representation of uniquely Minang food. They are maybe best suited to a Minangkabau food article, something which doesn't currently exist. ( Caniago 12:16, 17 May 2007 (UTC))
A tag has been placed on James Genus, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{
hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on
the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. greenrd 21:38, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Redcube-noguchi.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "
my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on
criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the
Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. -- Ser Amantio di Nicolao Che dicono a Signa? Lo dicono a Signa. 01:27, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
The article Jeremy Wagstaff has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{ prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. » Shadowowl | talk 23:15, 8 August 2018 (UTC)

The article Ulil Abshar Abdalla has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Notability not established - profile clutches at religious ruling from a not particularly notable religious group. Not clearly WP:SUSTAINED coverage, or worthy of justifying a biography.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

Hello, please confirm yourself for the meetup on the 24th by November 18. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please list them at the meetup page yourself. Thanks. -- Ter e nc e Ong ( C | R) 04:20, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi Chaerani! It's the last few days of the Garuda Indonesia collaboration. Please contribute!!!
Also, could you please vote for the next fortnight's collaboration? Please vote down the bottom of this page. The collab for the fortnight will be decided this Sunday 26th (or Monday at the latest). By the way, we could also chose Garuda Indonesia for another week.
So please visit and help choose the next article. Any questions/comments, please let me know. I'd love to hear from you particularly if you have any good suggestions! :-) -- Merbabu 10:25, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
Hello there Chaerani. For the next two weeks we have chosen >>> Indonesian War of Independence<<< for the Indonesia Collab. Also, please vote for the next fortnight. Maybe we should chose a stub article. So far, we have had already longish articles and they are therfore hard to expand. Here's a list of Indonesian underdeveloped articles: [1]. Please let me know if you have any suggestions (or if you do not want me to message you about the collabs). kind regards -- Merbabu 12:50, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Cheers. — Indon ( reply) — 13:23, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the additions and update to the Tristan Dowse article - I followed this case in Ireland with great interest and am glad to see things seem to be working out. Bastun 11:41, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I removed your adding of the Indonesian name to some Disney Characters per WP:NOT since this is the English Wikipedia. Often those entries turn into lists and are almost always removed. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Disney characters' names in various languages. Cheers, Garion96 (talk) 21:55, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I am English so I do not edit from a US-centric POV, so to speak. Try to add more sources and information if you want, I cannot Google at the moment. Gary Kirk [Talk] 09:19, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
I have added a "{{
prod}}" template to the article
Nial Djuliarso, suggesting that it be deleted according to the
proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "
What Wikipedia is not" and
Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on
its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the
proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the
speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to
Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{
hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on
the article's talk page explaining your position.

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Jeremy Wagstaff is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jeremy Wagstaff until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Risker ( talk) 07:25, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
I invite you to please join the discussion at Talk:Sarah Azhari.
Hello, we are seeking help with the Sarah Azhari article, created in 2013 & recently the subject of a deletion proposal. At issue was whether or not the Indonesian language sources establish notability. I am inviting you to the discussion at Talk:Sarah Azhari#Help with Indonesian language sources because you are in the Category:User id-N & have a minimum of 1,000 edits across all Wikimedia projects.
I realize that some of you are very busy while others may no longer be editing. Nevertheless, I thought it wise to consult with you.
Thank your for the work that you do on Wiki[mp]edia! Peaceray ( talk) 21:06, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.
