What a lovely article and translation ( Self-portrait at 69 years). Interesting that the Polish article is so much more developed than the Spanish one! Klbrain ( talk) 20:45, 6 March 2024 (UTC) |
Hello, Oliwiasocz. Thank you for your work on Timothy (Szretter). Moriwen, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
I'm unsure about the title here -- should it definitely be "Timothy (Szretter)" and not "Timothy Szretter"? I see it's the first on Russian wikipedia and the second on German wikipedia. Usually Orthodox clergy articles are just their religious name and their birth surname, no parentheses.

Thanks for the translation! If you have access to sources, it would be great if you could add more references to the page, several sections are mostly unsourced.

Was there a special reason why your edit was marked as 'minor'? Ttocserp 03:41, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
Please review Wikipedia:Content forks. Likewise, by the editing of the two redirects, it's clear that you were aware or became aware of the existence of the previous article. This not the way to act in a known contentious topic area. (I'll send you the standard warning for that after this message.) -- Joy ( talk) 07:03, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
You have recently edited a page related to the Balkans or Eastern Europe, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{ Ctopics/aware}} template.

Hi there, Oliwiasocz, and thank you for all these articles which you have translated from Polish. I realize you are a paid OKA editor but your work is nevertheless impressive. I have rated them nearly all as B class and look forward to many more in the coming weeks and months. Happy editing!-- Ipigott ( talk) 13:45, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
