Summary of Video games WikiProject open tasks:

Just to clear up my edit more...

Canvas Curse is originally 'Touch! Kirby'. Had it been 'Hoshi no Kaabii: (subtitle)', then it would be a main game. Traditionally the main games in the series have 'Hoshi no Kaabii' in the title. It's odd since in some ways CC is like a 'main game', but going by the title it's not. I believe we should stick to this formula. Does anyone have an argument against that? Ivyna J. Spyder 18:15, 30 October 2006 (UTC) reply

Just arrange them by a release order and leave the ado of canon/series interpretation at the reader's discretion. Combination 22:40, 31 October 2006 (UTC) reply

It doesn't match now ;_;

The template doesn't match the other Kirby templates in size or color now and it's bugging the hell out of me. Can we just tweak this one a bit? Ivyna J. Spyder 13:54, 4 November 2006 (UTC) reply

Is there a game AND anime template?

It just doesn't make sense to not list all the main parts of the series. It would be weird to have a totally seperate template with a single item listed so... Ivyna J. Spyder 15:34, 8 November 2006 (UTC) reply

New Kirby?

Im pretty sure that there is a new Kirby game being developed for wii, shouldnt it be on here?

We have no info on it. Not even a name. So let's wait. :E Ivyna J. Spyder 13:48, 3 December 2006 (UTC) reply
I went ahead and added it to the template because it has been officially announced for the wii and will be released this year in the US. Widkid85 06:02, 23 February 2007 (UTC) reply

No name, no release date, never shown in playable form. It doesn't belong in a navbox. - A Man In Bl♟ck ( conspire | past ops) 06:06, 23 February 2007 (UTC) reply

My thoughts exactly. We should wait until there is more info on the game until we decide to add it to the template. - DisasterKirby 06:08, 23 February 2007 (UTC) reply
This game was announced years ago, there has been gameplay footage and details. I just feel like if its not on the template it doesnt exist. Putting it on the template would give hope to the people who have been wating for this game for two years. Widkid85 06:15, 23 February 2007 (UTC) reply
I can relate when it comes to waiting, but the game doesn't have so much as a name, let alone an acknowledged release date of any kind. On the other hand, Kirby: Squeak Squad had a name and an announced release date shortly after E3 2006. I still feel that we should wait until at least one of those two pieces of info are known before it is put on the template. - DisasterKirby 06:23, 23 February 2007 (UTC) reply

Why ya gotta do a thing

To the person who just up and removed half the games listed here- Whyyyyyyy? And to the person who wants to remove the anime- Kirby is unusual in that his show was made by the same people who did the games, including Sakurai, so because of this closer connection I believe it should be listed with them. Ivyna J. Spyder 17:46, 10 December 2006 (UTC) reply

Gamecube game

Would it be possible to change what it currently says the upcoming Gamecube game title is (Kirby (tentative title)) to some thing else? I was thinking "Untitled Gamecube game". Any thoughts? Joiz A. Shmo 23:03, 29 December 2006 (UTC) reply

At this point the game is just called Kirby Adventure, Hoshi no Kirby in Japan. Widkid85 06:03, 23 February 2007 (UTC) reply
Now the game is announced for Wii with the name of "Kirby's Star". -- 87.8.242.31 ( talk) 00:07, 31 January 2011 (UTC) reply

Organizing

I separated the games into two "sets" based on game styles. This might make it easier to navigate (i.e Dreamland 1,2,3 being together). 141.156.240.212 19:44, 28 May 2007 (UTC) reply

First of all, moving this to the bottom. Secondly, out of all of the games in the series, only Dream Land 2, Dream Land 3, and Kirby 64 have any relation plot-wise. All of the other games are fairly independent. I really don't see how separating them in such a way is necessary at all. Disaster Kirby 19:49, 28 May 2007 (UTC) reply

Listing

Is there a reason why all of the game listed at List of Kirby games aren't on the template? Seems to me that navigation would work much better with a clear template than a short list. -- Jelly Soup 22:59, 31 August 2007 (UTC) reply

I think it was decided that the side games shouldn't be listed on the template by... someone... Well, it's set up in a fashion similar to that of the Mario series template, so... yeah. (Then again, the Kirby series is nowhere near as large in number of games compared to Mario...) Disaster Kirby Talk 00:32, 1 September 2007 (UTC) reply

Canvas Curse

According to it's article, Kirby: Canvas Curse is a platformer. Therefore I am reverting the edit made by 67.238.4.226 and placing it in the platform games section. If it's not a platform game then change the article to show the correct genre. -- Yair rand ( talk) 14:34, 29 September 2009 (UTC) reply

What is the distinction between "side games" and "spin-offs"?

These terms seem pretty much synonymous to me, and looking at the games in each group, I do not really know what determines which goes in which. Different, clearer wording or a merger of the two groups would be appreciated. Alexandra IDV 16:04, 7 July 2022 (UTC) reply
