Serafimovichsky District ( Russian: Серафимо́вичский райо́н) is an administrative district ( raion), one of the thirty-three in Volgograd Oblast, Russia. [1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Serafimovichsky Municipal District. [5] It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 4,360 square kilometers (1,680 sq mi).[ citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Serafimovich. [2] Population: 25,378 ( 2010 Russian census); [3] 27,137 ( 2002 Census); [7] 27,684 ( 1989 Soviet census). [8] The population of Serafimovich accounts for 36.9% of the district's total population.
