Nekhayevsky District ( Russian: Неха́евский райо́н) is an administrative district ( raion), one of the thirty-three in Volgograd Oblast, Russia. [1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Nekhayevsky Municipal District. [6] It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,220 square kilometers (860 sq mi). [3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a stanitsa) of Nekhayevskaya. [2] Population: 15,588 ( 2010 Russian census); [4] 17,660 ( 2002 Census); [8] 19,080 ( 1989 Soviet census). [9] The population of Nekhayevskaya accounts for 30.0% of the district's total population. [4]
