For Indispensable Enemy or Convenient Scapegoat? A Critical Examination of Sinophobia in Latin America and the Caribbean, 1870s to 1930s -- WhisperToMe ( talk) 09:29, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
It's unfortunate but I can't yet post the article on "The Chinese in Latin America and the Caribbean." as one of the review is in fact a summary by one of the editors, Walton Look Lai. Hopefully another book review will fall into my hands (as it did for Language Attitudes Among Arabic-French Bilinguals in Morocco). Please keep in mind the request is still resolved. Hi, I'd like to find sources on Planet Pizza, a Cupertino, California-based pizza chain that competed with Chuck E. Cheez from 1981 until 1998 (bankruptcy) and 1999 (out of business). Does someone have access to Los Angeles Times historical news, or other California historical news sources that could help? I have already searched WSJ and NYT historical news, and recent news coverage, per my comments in an ongoing AFD. This relates to article Planet Pizza and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Planet Pizza. It would help either to develop the article or help conclude the AFD, if California historic sources could be searched.
I haven't used this noticeboard / request board before, hope this request is done properly. I don't believe this is any kind of inappropriate canvassing; i am just on this rare occasion looking for specialized research help that i can't do myself. My gut tells me there is plenty of past coverage; I sorta think i read about it myself when living in California during part of that timeframe. I participate in a lot of AFDs, do not expect to be asking questions here about others.
I'll watch here and learn more about this request board. Seems like a good service! Thanks in advance for any assistance. -- do ncr am 21:47, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

The Times has published an interesting article on The Endless River that seems to hold a lot of valuable information about the album. The article is entitled " Pink Floyd launch artwork for The Endless River, their first album in 20 years". The problem is, it requires a subscription to The Times to be able to read. Is it possible that any editor here has a Times subscription so that they can access the article? -- PhilipTerryGraham ⡭ ₪ ·o' ⍦ ࿂ 16:16, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
Yeah. Not much hope for this request, considering both its sketchy nature and the lack of concrete information I have. I am working on a full rewrite of fringe theory, and there is an article in this journal that -- I think -- has some discussion of what constitutes fringe theories relative to what is already a fringe field (parapsychology). I have a page number from within that article (page 370). What I don't have is a title, an author, or the complete page range. I also lack the specific issue number that includes this page, but I believe it to be 4.
Needless to say, nothing I have access to indexes this, or maintains copies. Odds aren't in my favor here, but it never hurts to ask. Squeamish Ossifrage ( talk) 16:00, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

Hello!
I am looking for Harper's Weekly December 14, 1895 edition. According to this
site, this
picture should be on page 1248. I am looking for similar pictures. That photograph is just one of a larger collection as seen
here. If you can't find Harper's Weekly, the British newspaper The Graphic has a set of photographs as well. It should be on the December 7th 1895 edition. If you can get me a digitized version of these editions that will be great. I am planning to place these photographs in the
Hamidian massacres article.

I was wondering if it's possible to get any access to articles from Gartner or Forrester research. I edit a lot of articles on Information Technology and for a real world perspective those guys are just so much better than what you can find in journals or trade magazines. The specific article I'm interested in is: https://www.gartner.com/doc/2725417/choose-right-technology-knowledge-management Wikipedia articles being improved is: Knowledge management but there are many others where this would be extremely valuable. -- MadScientistX11 ( talk) 21:06, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

I badly need chapter one and two of a book (Studies of Mascarene Island Birds), which can be found in two versions here on Google Books. [28] [29]
Is there any way to save those for anyone who has access? It would help improve many articles about Mascarene birds. -- FunkMonk ( talk) 10:24, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

Hello, apparently there is a retrospective review of Super Mario Bros. in issue 122 of Edge magazine that gave the game a 10/10 rating. The issue was released around 2003. Unfortunately I don't have more information on this, so I'd be happy if somebody could provide a scan of the review. Thanks to this, we could finally cite a source for the statement here; furthermore I wish to use this retrospective review as a source for the German article to Super Mario Bros.

All the best,
