Please once see this Battle of Mandan page. Not a single source looks credible. 2 out of 3 the sources are even low rated on Google books and one is by a caste historian.

Is Robert Sewell's work, A Forgotten Empire (Vijayanagar), a reliable source? From what I have read Sewell was a civil servant and his record keeping of the Buddha of stupa was criticized by Hoock, Holger (2010).
