An unremarkable German Luftwaffe captain of World War II; significant RS coverage
cannot be found. The passing claim of notability is the award of the Knight's Cross in April of 1945. This can be confirmed via a book by Veit Scherzer (1-line listing), but this is insufficient to overcome
WP:BIO1E and lack of sources.
WP:SOLDIER, an essay by Project Military History, has been recently modified and the award of the Knight's Cross is currently not considered sufficient for criterion #1 (highest award for military valour).

Redirect: the award seems verified, but there doesn't seem to be enough coverage to warrant a stand alone article, which is the point of what is outlined in WP:SOLDIER. As such, a redirect to the parent list (
List of Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross recipients (Ba–Bm)) seems warranted. Regards,
