Hello Raime, I admire your work on the featured building lists. I would like to get List of tallest buildings in Houston to featured status, any advice or recommendations? Thanks, Postoak ( talk) 22:02, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Sorry for this late reply. I was busy, but I have returned. Referring to the template page, I am not sure which color would be best. I think a color that has some relation to Dubai would be good. The red of the flag is too much, but a tan or light brown that mimics the desert sands might be nice. But, this desert color should not be similar to the color within the templates.
To remove the “crush,” we could remove the navbox. All the templates are linked on that page anyway, and a link to the main page can be found at the top. I will keep the link to the template page on the navbox (but I did put it under the “main pages” section) so that it can be accessed easily. And, I support the creation of UAE-struct-stub. I will nominate it soon.
Thank you for letting me know about the Dubai list being selected as the List of the Month. It is nice to know that people appreciate our work. Leitmanp ( talk | contributions) 01:32, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Hey, just wanted to let you know that Emporis.com tends to be wrong on their dates for construction completions, which is why I changed them to more realistic dates despite Emporis. For example, it says Met 3 is set to be completed by 2009, and it hasn't even broken ground, so it obviously will not be done by 2009. Just thought I'd let you know. -- Comayagua99 ( talk) 06:34, 6 April 2008 (UTC) ~Well if leaving some dates blank means leaving all the dates blank because they're all sourced to Emporis, I'd say no, because then you would not have any idea of when the buildings are to be completed. On the other hand, I don't think having things like Met 3 to be completed in 2009 when it hasn't even broken ground to be correct either. So, I'd say it'd be best to just leave the ones that are obviously wrong blank unless another source can be found. -- Comayagua99 ( talk) 07:49, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

I made articlus for all the Houston buildings. After we get houston a FLC what list should we work on next? Alaskan assassin ( talk) 02:01, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Sorry if I appeared to drop off the radar. It seems that any attempt to build up the List of tallest buildings in Seoul or List of Museums in Seoul is going to need to be done alongside some extensive geographical work. I've been trying to put together Gu of Seoul and an article like Dong of Gangnam-gu for each gu, which will take forever. So if there is a FL drive for Seoul, I do hope there will be proper location articles to link the buildings to. I know I was going to help out with the Houston list, but I got pretty distracted with this. I'm a rebellious child. Please forgive me. Keep on keepin on. DaronDierkes ( talk) 07:57, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Sorry for the slow reply, I am being attacked by homework, essay, reading spam. I think the US tallest lists could be the next list to bring up to FL-status, since many buildings have articles and it's well-referenced. However, I think the tallest destroyed section may need expansion, since the limit is set to 400 ft. In addition, I don't think structures like the Stratosphere Tower should be included, since they cannot be ranked and there are plenty of tall towers around the US. As for this collaboration, it may actually take a while to bring the list up to FL-status, since I have to deal with midterm and surveying / AutoCAD lab spam.
In addition, we should not forget about the main article Skyscrapers. I think that article should be improved to FA-status in the Featured-topic drive. Right now, that article needs more references and cleanup. I especially don't like the term free-standing skyscrapers in the long history section (needs subdivisions). I think that term creates a lot of confusion on which city has the most skyscrapers in the world, as New York City does have skyscrapers that share a common podium, such as the Time Warner Center and the World Financial Center ( towers 2 and 3 are connected by the Winter Garden Atrium). In addition, this makes it hard to verify how many free-standing skyscrapers there are in large-skyline cities. Cheers. Trance addict - Tiesto - Above and Beyond 22:09, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
I agree. Let's just include structures and towers in the list but leave them unranked. That seems like a good compromise. Cheers. Trance addict - Tiesto - Above and Beyond 03:51, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
First, go to Skyscraperpage.com diagrams and search for the building entry you want. Once there, copy the street address that's provided alongside the rendering of the building. Open Google Earth, ( don't have it?), and paste the address onto the search box. Google Earth will then zoom in to that address (you may have to use the city name to get the correct location). Then, mouse over that point (over the building) and look at the bar at the bottom of Google Earth, where the coordinates and elevation are. Copy those coordinates onto the Wiki article (don't move the mouse too much), using Template:coor dms and include N/S or E/W. Once you have saved the page, click on the coordinate link, usually at the upper right, to double-check that these coordinates are correct using Google Maps or Windows live, etc. Cheers. Trance addict - Tiesto - Above and Beyond 03:41, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Provided that you entered the correct coordinates, a purple link to the Wikipedia article should appear as soon as Google updates the images and the links (usually once a month - once every two months). Cheers. Trance addict - Tiesto - Above and Beyond 03:43, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
It appears the only picture suitable for inclusion is the first picture showing what appears to be a power line-crossing of the Saint Lawrence River. As for the ice storm pictures, I'm looking for one that shows a collapsed and buckled tower(s), as seen here. It would probably be redundant to put another picture showing damage to trees as the picture in the ice storm section already does. Cheers. Trance addict - Tiesto - Above and Beyond 04:10, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Congratulations! A list you have been involved with was selected a WP:LOTD for May. You may want to add the {{ ListoftheDayheader}} or {{ ListoftheDaylayout}} templates somewhere in your userspace. If you have any date preferences in May let me know by April 25th.-- TonyTheTiger ( t/ c/ bio/ WP:CHICAGO/ WP:LOTD) 19:43, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Hello. I wrote this article a while back and it needs a picture. I noticed your work on List of tallest buildings in Charlotte and was wondering if you could tell me how I can add a picture of a proposed building, without violating WP image policies. In the near future I hope to start an article about the tallest buildings in Raleigh, but I don't know if it's notable quite yet since the city doesn't have as many skyscrapers as Charlotte. Cheers.
